My main of 7 years. Thematically she is so freakin cool. Her kit, her voice, her visuals... love everything about her, instantly connected with the character. Only her passive was changed a few years ago. Regarding skins, I love coven's splash the most, and dark cosmic's chromas the most. But I love all her skins and bloodstone actually has the "softest" effects in-game, vs the usually sharper and harsher sounds and visuals of the other skins. So it has a special place in my heart too :D I use all of them, I have my skin "phases", kinda, lol. She needs more voice lines, her voice actress is amazing
Her Current kit is nearly identical with the exception of her passive. Instead of granting mana free cast every so often. Now, nearby enemy champion deaths will spawn a slow moving explosive ice thrall, which compliments her kit nicely do to having a lot of crowd control to keep enemies inside the explosions.
True Ice is magical ice that is deadly to the touch for anyone not Iceborn. It can also be fashioned into a weapon - Ashe, Sejuani and Trundle wield weapons made of it. In one Sylas story, he manages to drain an Iceborn's power so presumably he could wield it, too, at least for a while. Concerning the question why she doesn't involve herself more - she and the Frostguard are almost like a myth, most people don't even know they exist (and those who do don't really know what they're all about), and she'd like to keep it that way. Despite all the boasting, she isn't all that much into conquest, and even the hate she feels towards Sejuani and Ashe is because she's afraid they'd expose her secrets . For the most part, she steals dreams from other Freljordians and feeds them to the Watchers to give them nice dreams (which, in their case, involves the apocalypse) so they would stay asleep.
Sylas spends stored powers/abilities. Once expended he no longer possesses attributes of said abilities, meaning for example once he expended iceborne drained powers he lost the ability. At least until they re-write that part of Sylas' power since he is Mr. Magical Special, Wielding Morgana's power which would destroy any mortal. Except for Mr. Special Sylas.
just to add to this, True Ice isnt just magical ice, it is void-touched ice that the initial northern Watchers made as either part of the deal they had with Lissandra, or as a byproduct of their existence corrupting everything around them

I'm sure LeBlanc had agents in Lissandra's army tho... She has agents everywhere. And they both are pretty old and LeBlanc maybe really visited Lissandra in a different shape like she did with Demacia.
@@raidon8470 i actually disagree, from LoR we learn that Lissandras followers are borderline mindcontrolled in a way by Lissandra herself, from all the trolls, the frostguard inquisitors etc, she even speaks to them in their dreams or directly in their minds, so presumably she can read or at least enter their minds and find out if they are someones double agent. Edit: both the Trolls and the Inquisitor have some pretty disturbing voice lines when you play them or block/attack, worth checking out imo if you are a Lissandra fan
@@roasted9095 Straight up no, the conversation was about Lissandras followers (which is also highly unlikely but i suppose theres a chance it could be possible), but for Lissandra herself there is just no way, Liss is much older, more powerful, empower by the watchers magic and the primal magic of the world - LB can be considered a baby in comparison both in age and power levels. Not to mention that for LB to be inside Lissandras dreams would mean that LB would have to contend with the Watchers who are already chilling rent free in Lissandras head and slowly corrupting her themselves

Also idk about calling Lissandra a hero, she basically wanted to do a selfish bad thing, but changed her mind in the last moment and did a good thing for the world, but then does a lot of bad things for both selfish reasons and morally good reasons, ultimately i think she is just a normal selfish person who simply doesnt want the world to end as that would inconvenience her too much, so she does a lot of good things due to it. A very morally ambiguous character, cos that raises the question whether it matters that you are doing a good thing for the right reasons or not, food for thought. 14 mins - While im no loremaster concerning the Freljord, one of Lissandras many powers is that anyone who is in proximity to her ice (especially if they are incased by it) she can basically control their mind as well as read it, and cast illusions due to this, which is what that entire story is about. Lissandra is not just an Ice Witch, her powers are much more sinister, especially after you realize what she is doing in LoR. 51 mins - Ice born people are rare and are direct descendants of the original Ice Born that the Watchers corrupted/blessed as part of their deal with Lissandra. They have a massive resistance to all cold, and are able to wield True Ice weaponary, most of Freljordians are not Ice born and are surviving just fine up there, the truly special part of the Ice born is their ability to wield the weapons, as these weapons are essentially instant-kills upon contact with a non Iceborn person. In fact even the invadian Noxians are doing fine conquering the southern parts of the Freljord, the cold is ruthless but survivable. 52 mins - Trundle Works for/Servers Lissandra, as do most Trolls (as most of them serve Trundle), the ones that disobey get frozen by Lissandra and mindcontrolled after some time in the ice (what you saw in her LoR video) 58 mins - I can say so much about Ashe and her bow (due to Swain having a gigachad voiceline for that) but ill save it for the Ashe video if it ever comes out in the future 1hr - Yes Trolls can be Ice born too, and Trundle is an Ice born Edit - some of these got answered after i wrote it, as i was still in the process of watching the video. Also someone else made a good comment about True Ice so i didnt bother explaining here 1.hr 15 mins - The Balestriders have very little info about them, best educated guess is that they are just the creations of Watchers and their corruption, they live in the far FAR north of the Freljord (barely on the world map at all) , but they all have spooky names, like They Who Endure, It That Stares, She Who Wanders etc. Babbling Bjerg (another LoR) card led a ship on an expedition to the far north, lost it and his entire crew and even his mind to one of these Balestriders. He is now just your local crazy old man in a tavern in the Freljord who keeps babbling on about horrors in the north
I want to add about Balestrides, that it was believed that they were once magnificent and terrible beings before being twisted far beyond their original form
I think that the balestriders are under Lissandra's control, i've heard so in many lore related videos already, but of you still have doubts, maybe Reddit will be of help?
The way I see her, she is fearful of others who may be tempted by the Void so she keeps the Watchers a secret, and she wants to make sure that they never come out, so she feeds them dreams. Yet, at the same time, because of her actions of feeding the watchers dreams, she knows she has to have some sort of army, which is why she has to recruit Iceborne. Especially since because of the previous two points, people will not understand why she is taking and killing people. So, like with Nunu and Willump, she is likely trying to foster powerful and strong dreams, so that she can keep the Watchers at bay. Due to this combination of purposes, she expands her army, while keeping secret the true reason why she does do, and sacrifices many so that the end of reality itself is kept at bay. So to the world, she must be a tyrant and and a monster, to her people she is a general and a leader, but to herself she is the only one protecting reality as a hero. It makes her very complex, and why lorewise and character wise, she is my favorite character in Runeterra. Ultimately, she is afraid of people knowing and getting tempted by the watchers, afraid of her own death because of her actions, and afraid of letting the reincarnations of her sisters holding power because they would be too weak to do what is necessary.
Her theme is an interesting one for players, because its used as the theme for the Howling Abyss map, used for the ARAM game-mode (All Random All Mid), which is the 'just have fun' gamemode as opposed to the more serious gameplay on Summoners Rift (the 'normal' gamemode). If you got a random player to listen to that theme, I have no doubt they would associated it with ARAM more than Lissandra. The bridge in the background is the bridge that spans the Howling Abyss, leads to the entrance to her fortress and is also the place where the Watchers are buried under the ice. The bridge also makes up the Howling Abyss map that the ARAM game-mode is played on. The map itself has quite a few lore easter eggs to Lissandra too.
Another comment for the algorithm, also end of the vid discussion: i think Lissandra is just too preoccupied with keeping everything frozen in the Howling Abyss, as well as feeding the Watchers new peoples lived experiences to keep them dreaming and slumbering to do anything else in the Freljord. I also think she doesnt want to reveal herself, as unwanted attention might reveal her true history and unite everyone against her - which would result in the end of the world. You get prestige skins through limited time events. When the event is live you get missions and you can finish the missions by doing things ingame. But if you want to unlock the prestige skin in time you need to buy the $10 event pass and play considerably less games since you get more missions. The missions give you tokens and with that you can buy a bunch of stuff including the prestige skin which is the most expensive one. If youre a "whale" and have all other skins purchasable in the store you can just reroll skin shards and the skin will be yours even after the event ends.

Long before Ashe Ashe and Sejuani, before magic shattered the broken peaks, before the desert swallowed Shurima Crest icon Shurima... it was the time of the Three Sisters. We were so young back then; Avarosa, Serylda, and me, Lissandra. Back then, the frozen Watchers lived here. I do not know where they came from, but I know they were powerful. They gave us gifts, shared their magic, made us immortal... they named us Iceborn. In return we gave them whatever they desired; this mighty fortress, a vast empire; our loyalty. These were a small price to pay. Avarosa did not see it that way. Like a spoiled child, she cried out for freedom. She demanded choice. She sowed the seeds of rebellion and betrayal. This place is where it happened. On one side, the frozen Watchers; on the other, Avarosa and her Iceborn horde. Many Iceborn died that day, but in the end the Watchers fell. When the Watchers Arrived they tainted the ice around them, that Special Ice is called the True Ice. And it is so dangerous a person dies when they touch it, however the watchers also tainted some people giving them the ability to wield the true ice. Those people are called the Iceborn, however it is extreamly painful for them iceborn to hold a true ice weapon but atleast they can survive it. And the Dark Ice is the Primal Version of the True Ice, you know the more corruption that the ice, while the true ice is the half ice half corrupted.
Not all freljordians are iceborn, but al iceborn are freljordians. True ice is not the weather of freljord, it is special ice that appeared with the watchers. Only the iceborn can wield true ice weapons without getting hurt or even dying. So a person from other region may be able to endure the weather, but an iceborn truly doesn't even feel the cold. One of the most famous non human iceborn is Trundle himself, imagine being an iceborn on top of being a frost troll. She is going to appear in the upcoming nunu and willump game, you should check them out along with that trailer.

u prob wont see this since its late but prestige skins are interesting, the very first prestige skin was prestige kda kaisa and back in the past there was 2 ways to get the skin, either spend alot of money on loot boxes for tokens which was needed to get the skin about 2000+ was needed i forget the exact number, but u could also grind tokens by playing matches of league, however this system was brutal back then, i think for me to grind out it for just spending 15$ for the event pass it took like 300 games in the span of a month or however long the worlds event was, and that was non stop playing waking up early and hardly sleeping (very unhealthy) now they have a simialr system to where u can get the event passes and prestige skins are pretty common for events, and take about 2200 tokens which is easier, or the alternative they have a prestige shop which rotates out every so often and u need 100+ prestige points which is the currency from buying loot boxes, or u could also spend tokens on 150 prestige points for events, which was also around 2200+ tokens, ironically getting the skin during an event when it first comes out tho gets u a special loading border and now i belive they all come with an icon, and then sometimes they directly release prestige skins into the point shop for 150 prestige points
