Nice work, would love to see more guides! Also your input on how the playstyle feels I think is interesting as it’s nice to get an idea of how a class feels to play when trying to choose a main. Maybe tone done the background music slightly, had some trouble hearing you clearly in some sections.
Hmm. This video made me realize that I have completely omitted how Sapper Charge works great with our little ward related talents in my guide. Now I feel baaad. Great vid man, cheers.
/clap. Very nice completed guide. I dont know if you hate gnomes since I know you know they have the intellect passive as a race buff, so they are the best race in alliance with humans on 2d place with spirit translating it into crit.
Nah since blizzard now can critt with ticks it does more aoe however trash will die superfast before you can even flamestrike so AE might be used still
Is there a great disparity between Human and Gnome in terms of racial. I know that expansive mind is better than the human spirit, but not sure how much. I know that nothing beats berserking, so I think the racial choice does not matter much on Alliance.
I like this guide. However i think there are some mistakes. Using PoM into Arcane Missiles will only buff the first missile and not all of them. Also as opener, using two Arcane Blast into PoM+Arcane Blast (3), then another Arcane Blast, then all CDs should be a better and more smooth opener.
Thanks for nice video. Can any1 explain for me when it comes to haste like the example in the video assume I have 350haste rating. How do I calculate that I looose this or that amount haste? I would like to learn this. Thanks so much. Keep up the good work
@Art Mcrae Lets agree do disagree, i want that skill. I used it during our server firsts in OG wrath and i will use it now aswell. Btw i dont think you understand how it works if you claim "Arcane barrage itself does a bit more damage than fire blast" Arcane barrage hits like a truck when AB is stacked to 4, its a perfect execute/movement ability.
Okey so.. Let's talk about the scenario when it comes to GS. When i'm under 2-4 set bonus ICC NM/HC Gear. What is the best specc? Arcane? When do i switch to fire? Can i Go Fire specc all the way until i have good gear?
Hey Bas! I was wondering what is the best spot to transition from Arcane to fire. Just collect as much crit gear as you can and then as soon as you have 4p T8?
Hey man, just some suggestions to help you out, from one non-native english speaker youtuber to another: try to put more slower, less distracting music at background. When mixed with your voice also not being too high, it makes is really difficult to understand you clearly, even though what you say and how you say is actually really clear. So try to find song that does not really have "hits" , drums in it, like techno songs you play, but rather smoother songs. Techno kind of songs work with "action" videos well, but with guide that we want to hear what you say, it just becomes really distracting and hard to understand. Also, try not to put blurred images for longer then 1-2 seconds, it makes the eyes get tired increadibly fast.
Hi man your video is very helpful but can you share your add on too? I’m a new player and I want to have the interface add on you have that show you every thing
Bas, nice video! Some questions: 1. Is it never worth it to cast arcane blast after 4 stack eg. in situation when you know you will have enough mana to sustain 4 ab /am rotation for the full fight? Is it dps + if i use 2-3 arcane blast on 4 stacks during BL/CDs 2. Is it worth it to use arcane blast after 4 stack if i have clearcasting after using 3rd ab?
Hello 1. sure, like briefly explained, you're able to deviate but the gain is minor. You could do 1-2 extra AB's duing the end of ur AP window and finish with AM just before AP falls off. 2. Only if the fight duration allows for extra AB's. I generally don't recommend relying on Clearcasting, as you need to wait after AB to reactively decide.
Hello! It's not fair to make an Arcane guide, considering it is played only at very early stage of our favourite expansion. You have to make fire with every tips and tricks you got, man. Regards!
@@pupsymus In Tier 7 we do use Innervate on mages since there's little mana expense for healers, but usually it goes on disco priest or any other oom healer, also keep in mind it's only 7866 mana nothing as fancy as in Burning Crusade :)
@@noimi1584 disc really? I'll be going into wotlk as disc or resto sham main. Got any advice on me? I'm scared shamans will be very overpopulated since every guild now in TBC has 4-6 in every raid group and you kinda want only 1 in wotlk. Arcane was my fav alt but if everyone will be mage I might just stick to shadow or some pala specs for easier spots. Any feedback would be much appreciated
@@pupsymus Thing about resto shammies is noone wants any even, most of them will reroll ele or other classes when wrath comes out. Arcane mage is viable spec in T7 gear only, then you'd play fire. Disc, Shadow and Hpally are all highly wanted, instant raid spots if you know mechanics. So pick whichever of those you enjoy to play.
In TBC at least, the skill of playing Arcane isn't in how many unique button inputs or high apm, but mana management. And yes, it is a skill. Arcane allows all players to burn through their mana pool/run oom extremely fast. So it's up to the player to manage it. Most other specs don't allow this. Knowing how to manage your mana in a fight can drastically change DPS. It also calls into question boss knowledge and fight duration. Bad mages can run oom too quickly by bad management, average can have too much mana left over in a fight. Both are a dps loss. The best mages are ones finishing the fight with almost zero excess mana. Also, we're talking about a 20 year old game here.
