Don't understand Spanish (sad, I wish I knew Spanish; hopefully, my daughter will teach something to this old guy as she learns so much Spanish); so the only way I follow this artist is by his 'voice' and some 'extraordinary singing'. I came to listen Flamenco singing by way of Indian classical vocal, especially Jaipuri. This artist and his accompanist guitarist are on the 'tear'. They are in the 'zone' and at their peak, almost to the level of Enrique Morente. How lucky Spanish speaking and understanding folks are! Such an exceptional artist(s) they have to enjoy. Thanks for sharing. (If someone can share the Spanish poem the artist is singing, that will be great. We can use Google Translation to understand that poem. It helps for we poor non-Spanish speaking/understanding folks.)
If you want to understand true flamenco ... Listen to the gypsies, they are the best. We payos (not gypsies) also do it well but ... They gypsies carry it in their DNA
The lyrics are these: De tu cara y de tu pelo La gente tiene envidia De tu cara y de tu pelo Quien quiera rozarte a ti Tendra que venir primero A pedirme permiso a mi
