Corelli's Concerti Grossi are some of the most cultivated, exquisite and melodic polyphonies that I've ever listened to here. I applaud and congratulate you on your tremendous post here!
@@alger3041 I’m not sure ‘superior’ is a helpful word when comparing composers from different generations writing different kinds of concerti. Corelli’s concerti grossi Opus 6 - like Handel’s later Opus 6 - (both for two violins,cello, and continuo, in multiple movements, and in sonata da camera or sonata da chiesa form) are not quite the same thing as Vivaldi’s solo concerti typified by Le quattro stagioni, or his concerti for multiple strings/instruments (mostly in three movements of fast, slow, fast).
