There are a number of different ways to geocode spatial data. This video provides two ways to geocode - County Level and Address Level in ArcGIS Pro. In short, I hate geocoding address-level data because it can be very tedious to rematch addresses; however, I often geocode data so I am comfortable with the coordinates I use in analyses. What shortens this process is taking time on the front-end cleaning your data/addresses and knowing potential issues with the data. Keep notes on address issues if you are having to work with similar data in the future.
