The song is super clear it's even called nemesis meaning Ubeatable foe fighting for freedom and democracy it's all our responsability to uphold the constitution in Canada it is the law for every citizen to uphold it.

I once saw them at a German metal fest (Summer Breeze) and at the beginning of the show she was like "I had a bad tooth operation a couple days ago and want to apologize in case my voice aint as good as expected"... she delivered the whole show. She is such an amazing person. I love Arch Enemy

In her previous bands, Alyssa made "regular" rock vocals, or operatic (Nightwish style). But in Arch Enemy, she's following the growing (fry vocals) of the previous vocalist, Angela Gossow (who's manager of the band and has solo work and colabs). Growling, without technique, blows the vocal chords, damages the larinx, but Angela and now Alyssa know how to do it properly.

I don't get headaches from head banging, but I headbang so hard, and mosh, that when I got to a metal show I get full body aches lol. Last concert I actually got a concussion. Worth it though lol.

Alissa's voice is very powerful, aggressive, intense and also very feminine at the same time, be it her clean or harsh vocals, I just love her voice, and AE is one of my favorite bands, you can't go wrong with AE.

arch enemy and jinger are both death metal bands , but arch enemy is much older , they originally started out with a male singer , then they got Angela Glassgow she retired a few years back though to start a family and she manages the band now I can't remember the current girl's name (the one in this video) but both their female vocalist Angela and this one can belt it out as good as any male death metal singer.

Her vocals have gotten much MUCH better over the years. Listen to Nita Straus FT. Alissa White-Gluz (one of the newer songs she's on) and you'll understand what I mean. And it's not so much a headache as much as it is the neck. It always kills me after a show, but it's always worth it.

Actually, someone in the comments explained the headbanging good. Gotta use the torso a bit and just do whatever feels good. In metal, there are no standards about headbanging. Personally, I always have neck pain the day after lol. If I'm feeling lightheaded, the rush of the music and the moshing keeps me going. And an awful amount of beers and cigarettes ofcourse ;)

Regarding the “all for one” comment. It’s exactly what you describe. This kind of music “sounds” aggressive, but tends to be a response to the negativity of how atavistic life can be. She is Jewish (I believe) and the song “first day in hell” is further emblematic of the struggle of being seen as different. The “different” of Alissa stands out. She’s not afraid to kick ass and take names.

I do alot of pop punk and metal stuff and post hardcore stuff to do screams it's alot of hard work you have to train your body to breathe a certain way and you have to push the screams from your diaphragm not your throat alot of people that start out scream dont usually get taught properly so they do it from their throats and it can make you cough alot and can also lead to vocal cord issues like vocal nodules or vocal issues that would require surgery and each time you got to do screams you need to drink plenty of water or tea and do a decent amount of vocal warm ups and breathing exercises alot of people that harshly judge this kind of music have no idea how much actually goes into it like anyone can pick up an instrument and learn it and anyone can sing if they put the effort in to learning but to do stuff like this It take a hell of alot of work on you body and breathing and such and it take a little bit of getting used to at first but that with anything that you teach your body that it hasn't done before but once you body and mind are use to it it's pretty straight forward from there

Arch Enemy is an older group than Jinger.Don't compare Arch Enemy to Jinger, because it is the reverse.

AE are awesome. I'd suggest also checking out their song Something To Believe official where Alissa throws some cleans into the mix. Also, their former singer Angela (now manager) singing Ravenous live in Tokyo with a very different style of growling. For more Jinjer, Perennial live at Wacken (pronounced in between Vah-ken or almost Vah-hen, btw) is fire. Wacken is a major metal festival that is set up as practically an outdoor recording studio with a live audience. Also, Spiritbox's song Blessed Be is great - they love doing kinda horror-themed videos, and this one is inspired thematically by the Handmaids series.

You getting use to the headbanging. A couple of years ago I went to a concert every week, I didn't even feel my neck would be hurt. Now I'm 27 ,I go for concert only half a year, and I have so bad muscle strain in my neck next day, I can't even look to the side. :D I guess ,its not the age. It's the regularity. After all its all a muscle... But I never had a headache. Only in my neck next day. So do it every day. They are doing almost every day, they not even feel it :D

to don't get headtaeche, don't move only your head, move your body to under your chest, do it every day and than you can headbang like crazy, even with only head movement and enough training without much pain, you'll always feel it after, but nothing that's you can't live with and I headbang every day many times

There's not really any tricks to headbanging. It's just practice, practice, practice and over time the pain in shoulders, neck and headaches will lessen, since you have to get the muscles used to that kind of movement.

Arch Enemy is much older then Jinjer and they changed lead vocalist three times I think they only had guy as lead for two or three years and band was formed in 1996 I think..... almost 20+ years they have girl lead singer and they are full growl singing....... And yea trying to growl and doing it wrongly can hurt your vocal cords a lot.... PS I do not care for politics mate only for reactions......... you go way off topic easy....
