Angela Gossow is the most powerful female vocalist metal has ever seen. Her presence, and performance is about as metal as you can get. Nothing at all contrived about her, she commanded audiences for decades. And the band has remained absolutely brilliant to this day.

Arch Enemy was basically Mike Ammotts all star band with his brother.. (Mike was from Carcass, with the 1993 album Heartwork which imo birthed Melodic Death). I haven't listened to much since Angela left the group. But Arch Enemies older stuff I loved.

i still think Angela is the best female vocalist in metal and onme of the best vocalists in the genre as a whole. Its too bad arch enemy didn't experiment much so a lot of their songs sounded too similar.
