This guide video is absolutely fantastic. Your logical, efficient and integrated style of presentation is a standard which I had ceased expecting to find, when searching for nested, broad and entangled answers in RS. Honestly, you’ve probably saved me watching 3-6 other videos, to collate the same understanding. Thank you! 👌
Thanks. I get a lot more out of a guide that's a retrospective by someone who actually leveled it, than from the slew of guides that read the wiki verbatim the day the skill was released...
Just a quick tip stack exp buffs when restoring artifacts. Clan avatar buff Cinder core Pulse core VIP relic Pantheon of the gods aura Bik book Yak track Wise Perk Incense sticks These can get close to doubling the XP you get restoring relics. Early levels its not that important but late levels it really helps as you spend time getting the relics. I tend to fletch until the bik book proc's then restore as many as I can in that min.
Nice vid, good information. I'd have one thing to add in regards of only restoring the "cheapest" relics - There's plenty of collections (museum ones most of the time) that are gp positive (aka profit) even if you buy all the needed materials. You can wiki the collection name, there's a helpful overview table with cost and reward
I know this is super late but thank you for this. A lot of guides out there insist on doing 100 red rum collections to finish up 99 but its honestly such a hellscape. I dont really care about playing tetracompass gacha so i think i'll just stick to excavating the highest spot I can.
Awesome, thank you! This is an old one but might interest you if you're still working towards unlocking Priff and the Sunspear: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xECogUbRvPY.html
Few handy tips maybe, but as a new rs3 player I still have no idea how to get my first archeology lvl. But I don't think I'm the audiance this guide is targetting :P
This is my rifle. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my rifle is useless.
I assumed that anyone watching this has at least done the Arch tutorial in game. That's basically all there is to know about how it works. 1. Dig at plots for materials and damaged artefacts. Gain moderate xp 2. Go to an Arch bench and restore artefacts using materials for huge xp chunks
That's quite on the high end of unlucky 🫤 sorry to hear. Hope your main isn't an Iron haha, so you're not totally screwed if you want the staff. But know it's still painful.
@@jasper_72 luckily not an iron :P but I do kind of want to get them as a matter of pride. arch was my first 120 :P I do not plan on buying the spear and I got 2 staff head pieces from completing collections so far lol
Good guide man, still relevent in august 2023, man i want runescape to be good but it's just so damn grindy, i really am paying too much of my free time that i could use for much better tasks, i even find the early levels to be too grindy let alone 70-120, such a shame, yes i realise i signed up for hardcore ironman and mainscape is a lot easier, but i don't want to support mtx so i will just continue wasting countless hours on a java game. To add, i think arch first to the appropriate relic powers is the most efficient way to play rs3, maybe behind rushing decorated urns, divination is a tricky one, you want 99 in it asap, but it takes too much time and is annoying without the relic, caches are nice, but they arent enough to solo 99. my point: having to get 99 in a skill just to play the game efficiently is a major disappointment, i guess thats the entry fee to runescape, though.
Well said tbh. A lot of content in most RS3 skills are dead content, so the only benefit is to rush 99. And with most skills the main reason is because it's required for the max cape, lol. Very different than OSRS where most content within skills is relevant. I will say with the latest 2 skills (Archaeology and now Necro), there is some useful and nice middle ground in the early and mid levels. It must be a grind, wouldn't be RS otherwise lol but at least these are very afkable with the right setups, and have a lot of benefit before you 99. Happy grinding, I main an Iron now but hardcore is something else. Props to you, take it slow and have fun with it!
You mean like lamped to 96 Arch lol? If so, get the best mattock you can and just start unlocking the chronote store boosts. You can buy tons of chronotes if you want, but the Guildmaster outfit is a must and unfortunately you need to dig up and restore 1k artefacts for the achievement to unlock that. So either way probably will be spending a lot of time at the venator dagger/crossbow spot lol.
@@jasper_72 lol ye somethin like that... do I need to get low level and previous artefacts or can I just start restoring high level ones?? ty for replaying
Np! So for the Time & Space Mattock and Master Arch outfit, you need the Grandmaster achievement: runescape.wiki/w/Qualification_-_Guildmaster. Completing artefact collections, solving mysteries, research team hours and digging up/restoring 1k artefacts. I think it would 100% be a bad idea to continue Arch without getting these first lol, which means you do have to go back to a lot of lower level dig sites. The T99 mattock and Master outfit will save you a LOT more time than you spend on the achievement to get them. Plus the outfit has tons of really nice teles and other benefits.
I'm guessing I should read a guide before watching this video? Didn't get much information other than, do your stuff and spend gold wisely. This itself shouldn't be called a guide but just tips.
It is called "10 Training Tips", lol. And yes the assumption is you've at least got a few levels and gotten started with Archaeology. Early on, there's not much to it but it gets complicated as you level as far as the best ways to train. That's more what this video is for.
It could be a 1 hour video if I cover all the boosts and useful things in detail 😶 lol. Buuuut if you need to know! You get them by doing a number of tasks for any of the god emissaries around the world. They are good because you can use them once a day to boost any skill by 2 for 30 min. There lol.
I understand rs3 is hard to make content for. Stick to guides and find some interesting guides to do. Get away from skills and jump on the new ones. Don't be like the other content guys and make videos about skill guides. Think outside of the box and whatever you do....don't make any kind of series. Folks believe other folks really enjoy watching them play video games. They don't.
I agree with you, lol. I prefer to publish the more interesting guides, or testing things like gear and setups that I don't see other videos on. They're more fun for me too. I wanted to make a few guides at least for skills or old content that are commonly searched for on RU-vid in between the more creative content that takes more time to come up with. Doing my best to give a unique take on those too that will help players out in a different way. Appreciate the feedback, honestly much more what I would rather hear than the opposite lol! Will keep at it and do my best 🙂.
