This video is missing one of the best healer specs, hierophant. There's a great healer guide on the AA Classic forums by aaa that I recommend all healers read.
For classic, what might be some good recommendations for players with high ping (~250-350)? I keep seeing tanky options mentioned (Abolisher gets thrown around a lot) but what are some viable options for melee, ranged and magic? I tend to prefer ranged but I do remember loving a 1h+Shield Blighter before Defense got changed around
A mage if you dont wish to be an initiator. More specifically Revenant is kinda ping friendly at least more so than other classes. You can still be an archer with that ping like a Stone Arrow for instance. Abolisher is a solid option as well. Of course you can always test for yourself any other class if itll work with your ping.
With high ping it would be tough to weave in fervent healing into your triple slash strikes which is what makes argent pretty strong in the first place but overall imo its still a pretty decent class to pick up and PVP with. It is definitely more of a PVE spec though for farming since mana regen with meditate and self heals.
No that combo wont be a thing in this patch sadly only throw dagger into whirlwind. I know in the tooltip for the skill builder thwart says it applies move speed -27% or something like that but its not an actual "slow" which is what whirlwind combos off of to get that trip. I believe that combo was added later in AA's life cycle as I remember that combo very well in Unchained.
Katana is a good offensive choice because of its hidden weapon passive. Honestly depends on the playstyle you wish to have and what your main focus is on.
