It’s good to see my brothers and sisters getting in the beautiful art of archery I just into it my self I have to shoot everyday or I just don’t feel right
A stabilizer, if weighted properly, stabilizes or slows down your pin float on the target. You will possibly also notice a bit of reduction in vibration at the shot on your bow. But stabilizer’s primary use is assisting keeping your pin on target. By the way, your grip is much improved from when you started, good job!
Start looking into rear stab as well , the idea of the stabilizers are when you're at full draw you balance the weight of the bow , forward and aft, side to side, to where you can sit at full draw comfortably the bow will be nicely balanced and your pin will stay on target easier ...
To truly get the benefit of stabilizers, you need to get different lengths front and back bars along with a variety of weights to add and remove to find the right combination.
Make sure you wax your strings after every shooting session , before you even put your bow away after you shoot wax your string a little will go a long way and you rub the string between your index finger and thumb and use friction to impregnate the wax in the string don’t use too much but if it’s sticky after you rub in you have enough on there
Be sure to move around the yard, shooting varying angles and distances. Deer seldom come in and stand broadside at 20 yards. Always aim for the Vital V, and the far front leg.
Strings only last so many shots. It also depends on what brand of strings you using. As much as you shoot you might want to order a second set to have or keep this set to replace if you have a bad string in the future. Also remember where you hit on the target for the deer is a little different not much from where you will shoot during hunting season. Yes they can drop but you want to take the shot when the head is up they will not drop as much. Start watching hunting vids to see the moments they choose to take the shots. Time to start really making final adjustments and saying this is what I’m going to hunt with, this is what I’m going to limit my distance to this. Cabelas has the best deals for camo so start watching for deals and getting your hunting gear. Get some maps and start looking at where you might want to hunt and go out into the woods and get a feel for the area.
@@brianmalick2946 and some people can do that which isn’t an issue but I’ve heard it’s easier shooting with your dominant eye, idk I’m still new to archery all together haha
Ok, you are so close to actually pulling thru the shot. Still commanding though. Just try laying your finger on the trigger like you’re doing then just pull. Don’t do anything mentally to command it. Pretend you’re putting your elbow backwards into an imaginary wall. So close! If it’s possible, shorten the release so your finger can hook a little more over the trigger. It was awesome that fella sent you a 3-d target. On the fletching just scissor out the tear. 👍👍👍👍
Yes Sir, you have come a long way. You should have no doubts about putting an arrow in the right spot on a deer to 30 yards. I very seldom shoot past 25 deer hunting. Just watch about any video of people at a 3-d and see there are a lot of people that don’t need to be shooting arrows at live animals.
@@whatisarchery I’m 35. I don’t claim to be a pro but I’ve been BowHunting since I was 19. I have witnessed a lot of the good and bad. If you ever want to travel and hunt feel free to come down to south Alabama. You and your wife are more than welcome my friend!
