I don’t think I’m ready for this. For me, Echo did the impossible. It gave me the courage to come out as gay to my friends, family, and even parents. It even led me to meeting my boyfriend.
I love the bittersweet ending. Devon and Cameron's relationship is something solid and true that I wish/hope I could experience one day. I'm honestly impressed how they're still together and going strong after their ordeal.
It's beautiful, and it made me cry as well. To me, it reminds me of all my old dreams, back when I was in college and all I wanted to do was just go on a big roadtrip with my friends. That never happened though. Silly as it is, this music gives me that feeling of old broken dreams.
As the ending is now out I have to say Howly and Paintfox outdid themselves here. One of the most heartbreaking, beautiful, bittersweet stories I’ve ever read. Thank you for creating this. A story that I will take and remember for the rest of my life ❤
God, I can just tell that by the end of Arches listening to this track will make me burst into tears. It has such a peaceful, melancholic feel to it, like no matter the ending we get god knows how long down the line this track will be perfect for letting us sit back and just absorb it.
Bro sometimes I wish some of these VNS were just movies or tv shows that were animated… Arches would be PERFECT FOR IT AND THE SOUND TRACK IS INSANE TO BOOT! Keep up the good work!
Ever since I finished Echo last year, I've saying the same thing: Echo on its own has the potential to launch furry media into the mainstream and break everyone's expectations. With an art style like Amazon's Undone, and sequels and prequels already in development, it would be amazing!
I think this by far my favorite track of the Arches soundtrack so far. I'm happy it's the main theme of the game, it gives me a warm feeling. Like I'm being welcomed by something. It also has a very nostalgic touch to it. But it also feels like a great conclusion track, end credits roll and this song plays.... Amazing work, truly!
But this game is about breaking that circle. When you break off part of it, you would get an *ARCH* . Whatever happens, this will be the end of Echo, for good.
Same. I just finished playing the game one hour ago and damn, this genuinely makes me cry. I loved echo too, but i never cried there, i felt sad, and at times afraid, but it never got to the point of actually making me roll out tears. Arches straight up made me cry, and now im here, 1-2 hours after, listening to the ost and the tears still roll, love it so much
I can say with certainty that this track alone gave me the insane emotionally backed motivation to create projects of my own now. It's such a powerfully moving piece. NEED to edit this. After playing what is available of this VN, a safe bet is to say that this song is very underrated and in fact eludes to what anyone will experience.
Every track you make is gold. Your works for these VNs made up most of what I listened to in the last month. They are super chill compositions and make me feel at ease in much needed moments.
Ahhhhh yes, some weeks ago I was first listening to Departure Songs and "A Gallant Gentleman" being the first song I was left there half perplexed. Kinda makes me wish for a remix thing with this song with a climax like A Gallant Gentleman, but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoy both pieces.
I don’t know why, but unlike Echo’s theme, it doesn’t give me this feeling of anemoia. Maybe it’s because of Echo’s softer soundtrack? Or the rustic colors? The more cartoony artstyle of Arches compared to the painting look to the others? My point is that I don’t understand why Echo just FEELS so vastly different from the rest of the games in the Echo series. However, what Arches does, is still remind me of the past that I never had. Reminds me of a sunset, for some reason.
I've been listening to the soundtrack non stop, the notes are so great, the vibe and the feeling it sends its so powerful and beautiful, I wish I could listen to it on Spotify so I can add it to a "Chill trip" playlist
Damn i dont know music theory but the chords in this and the FbtW theme create such a tangible sense of wonder… like stepping out of the wardrobe and into the snow
I’m probably not even close to getting this VN done, but wow. When I first booted up Arches on stream, I just sat there for about a good minute or two letting this whole song play out. Right from the get go I knew this was going to be one hell of an experience and it certainly does not fail to hesitate. How The Echo Project manages to get the most talent people to write their stories and compose music for their games will always be beyond me. Well done on these tracks man. Well done.
It’s crazy to think this came out a year ago. Time really does fly and yet this is still one of my favorites. I remember when this just came out. Love your music and your games, keep up the good work.
i've been following echo project for a while but when arches launched i never expected this quality in music, i cant name a reason but all your songs resonate me in a way i dont fully understand, sometimes is a nostalgic feeling, sometimes bittersweet, keep doing your best, im totally wanting to hear a lot more.
THe wait has been so much suspense.... I hope all will turn out well for our protagonists, This music has a comforting sound yet underneath is a somber melody of tragedy and loss.....
I never noticed this, but it sounds like the Hum is playing in the background of the track. A really nice touch to make the track sound creepy to those who've played Echo in a way that people who haven't wouldn't catch onto
Han pasado los años tan rápido que ni siquiera me di cuenta. Vuelvo a esta canción y recuerdo los bellos momentos que pase, no me arrepiento de nada y estoy a la espera de vivir más momentos especiales como en aquellos tiempos.
The ending f*cked me up the most compared to other endings of the Echo project 😢 However, only con on this game is: no option to choose. It was a pure visual novel, not a game.
Wait wait wait! Does this have both the smoke room and echo themes in it? it’s hard to hear but it’s there? Am I the only one? ‘Court & Page’ and ‘Echo Theme’
To be honest i miss Arches but the game have happy ending, i want another story of this couple but knowing they happy now made me think this is the best ending
Anyone know the track that plays when Cameron is walking beside the lake and sees the cat girl in his vision? It also plays at the beginning of the little prelude story
I'm not sure what it's actually called. But, considering the author is putting a lot of work into it (writing, good character sprites, commissions for background art, etc) I wouldn't be surprised if it's an original piece made for the game itself.
