*PLEASE replace Jester Confit with Magician's Souls in that decklist, I was cramming in Dragoon and it slipped my mind completely* Also god knows where I lifted that image but I can assure you Buster Dragon is not a Warrior-type monster
Not gonna lie dood, I wouldn't be pissed at all if you did seperate videos in order to cover HEROs, its not our fault Konami tried to link alot of them them all together into one big ass synergistic ses pool while the other whole alot of them ended up being lazily wasted pack filler at best.
Imagine playing in a casual setting and you pull out a Slither or a Ra before he can get his Super Buster Blader though. Inconsistent AF but then you have a time challenge to see who pulls out their god card first.
Me reading it's effect as a Red-Eyes player: "This a good effect! Red-Eyes finally has something to deal with card effects! I can't wait to use this!" Then I hopped on YGOPRO and realized EVERY deck can use Dragoon
@@hsalfesrever3554 I know right? They made the card so that us red eyes players could have something then everyone and their mother starts using it. Why couldnt the condition be a red-eyes and a spellcaster?
Now watch it force Konami to give the Predaplant Link Monster an errata so that it can only cheese out Plant & Dragon Fusion monsters (Don't say they won't give Verte Anaconda one cause it hasn't hit the F&L list. I mean if Konami can errata Armory Arm due to Fish OTK then they can errata Verte Anaconda because of Dragoon)
If you follow his twitter, you’ll realize Rata-Mom is just awesome. In another one of his videos, I remember him mentioning he caught his mom dancing to Devil Trigger
I have long figured out it wasn't a shoe, But I was shocked to learn today that it was a upside down sword hilt, I thought it was just meant as a weird emblem shape!
I always thought it was some kind of chalice or something from a ritual, as a right of passage to become Buster Blader. Which means it would be filled with dragon blood.
I half expected Shape to end his speech with "You're living a fantasy. There is no easter bunny, there is no tooth fairy.... and there is no queen of england".
I have no clue how anyone thought it looked like a shoe?! Then again I'm not the right person to judge seeing as I've thought it was some weird ring/amulet up to the point Rata pointed it out...
Buster Blader. The story of a warrior on a dracocidal rampage. Then, after a newborn dragon with 6 legs imprints on him, decides that instead of killing the baby dragon, he'd just go on a genocidal rampage of everything that could threaten the adorable thing.
this isn't a request, just a suggestion: you could probably roll darklords, forbidden, and solemn into one video since they're related, if that's something you'd be interested in doing.
6:37 Oh god I didn't know Dragon Buster actually held the sword with their tiny arms, I thought it was just in the ground or magically floating in front of them. That's somehow exceedingly cute, but also kind of unsettling with how disproportionate those 2 front arms are.
For a short review: with the Onomato cards uniting all 4 archetypes, you get synergy in summoning many monsters for Xyz plays. Decent utility with Gagagabolt, Gagagarevenge, Dodododraw. Gagaga got the most support whereas Zubaba got 4 monsters.
@@thatman666 I know how the deck plays, since I play it. I just think he could make some really funny jokes based on the fact that besides a few cards, the 4 archetypes hardly work with each other. Yet they kinda force you to run them together anyways.
"why else would they give a level 6 synchro to a deck based on a level 6 monster" finally someone said it...... They could of EASILY slapped a alternative summoning condition on it to try and keep whatever aesthetic they were going for. "but but they won't just change or add card wording that hasn't been used before to fit a synchro into a archetype" THEY DID IT WITH FING HARPIES AND THERE SYNCHRO MONSTER!
It seems like it’d have been so much easier to name the “Destruction Sword” archetype the “Buster Blade” archetype, that way Buster Blader could actually be part of the archetype.
Well clearly it’s because Buster Blader isn’t part of the archetype in the OCG. They don’t want to print “not including Bluster Blader” on each of the cards.
@@GurrenPrime I’m guessing it’s for future proofing. In case they ever decide to give Buster Blader a super OP main deck retrain in the future, it won’t be searchable by welp.
Maybe for HEROS Rata could just split it into parts for each one, giving him a ton of content to not need to come up with idea for, but also not too much shit to do at once to be overwhelming
@@EvilMastermindPeter I DO want the HERO video...or rather it could be a series of videos, one for each type. I don't ever want him to stop or for AA to end, but it's my favourite archetype bar none...So fuck.
Holy shit, Emblem is a sword hilt!???? I’ve literally always wondered why the translation team called a boot an emblem. 19 years of ignorant bliss, gone in a flash.
I love the bit of him asking his mom about yugi. His mom acts just like how he describes on his twitter, and hearing rata speak serbian(? forgive me if its something else, im not all that familiar with balkan languages) was very nice too. another great vid, rata, can't wait for the next one!
I love this archetype. I won a locals by using the "super poly" to fuse with my opponent's Kozmo Dark Planet. He didn't negate the activation because of the protection from targeting, so after confirming the activation I got to explain to him that super poly does not, in fact, target.
Buster Blader: The only good dragons are the ones who never comes out of their stinking hole. Sees Buster Whelp: Awwwww aren't you cute? who's a good dragon? who's a good dragon? Yes you are...... Yes you are. Ehem I mean I will take you and train you in the art of dragon slaying and take you to legendary adventures then someday you might become a worthy adversary for me and our fight will be legendary. But before that........... who's the cute Lil dragon? Yes you are... Yes you are.
I mean, I've always known Emblem of the Dragon Destroyer was not a shoe, despite the uncanny ressemblence. But I never had any fucking idea what it was.
I never saw the emblem as a shoe but as some weird trophy instead. As a kid my logic was that he was so good at killing dragons that he won a trophy for it.
See, what scares me is that because Rata talked about Dark Paladin due to it having Buster Blader as one of the materials, he'll have to talk about *The Funny Man* if he makes an Archetype Archive about Dark Magician.
hey rata, i've been here since the 100 sub era and i just want to say i'm so fucking happy for you man. you really deserve all the recognition you're getting. your videos singlehandedly got me back into yugioh and i rewatch your archetype reviews all the time. i don't mind the slightly inconsistent uploads if it means we get good quality content. much love brother
The buster blader dragon artwork is some of the best in the entire game. It really is top notch furry artwork. That buster blader dragon chick is just so adorable without the cuteness being pushed too far like with certain other cards.
Pretty sure you can get Dragon Buster equipped in an impactful way much easier in an actual Buster Blader strategy than you can in Cyberdarks. Like, if you try to attach Dragon Buster to Cyberdark Edge or Cyberdark Dragon, the opponent can run over it with a Metal Fish. As for the new stuff, I’m pretty sure that you can make the Buster Blader Fusion + Buster Dragon for about the same effort as getting Cyberdark End Dragon out with Dragon Buster attached. And I get the feeling that almost nobody is gonna be still trying to use Cyberdarkness Dragon for that combo, even though it does mean that the opponent needs a Summoned Skull to run him over instead. That said, it might still be a fun tech option for Cyber/Dark. I just don’t think it’ll be super consistent, compared to running a full Buster Blader engine, or sticking to “Cyber” cards.
@@enlongjones2394 It takes 10 times more effort to get any of the Cyberdark Dragons to the field with the Dragon Buster than it is to setup the Buster Dragon-Destroyer Lock, one requires you to dump very meh monsters, and for 2 of them you either need 3 very specific monsters in the Main Deck, or 2 very specific Extra Deck monsters, or 5 monsters for the last option. AND having some Fusion Spell to do it (at which point you have probably won the game) while the Buster Lock simply needs you Normal Summon Whelp, add Prologue, make Linkuriboh/Almiraj with Whelp and set Prologue, and on your opponent's turn you just dump 2 fat monsters and say no to the opponent.
Probably, if they get another name and not a garnet. A summary of the synergy is: "oops all Cyberdarkness Dragon synergy and memes". Also funny infinite on-fleld/hand monster negates because Buster MD retrain. A more detailed version is: -Buster blader doesn't need to combo off a lot, so you can play through Horizon and Nachster restrictions with ease. -You can discard memories for chimera, which is what you want anyways. -You only need 4 MD names (5th is dumped by Horizon, OG cyberdark Dragon) -Your endboard should be cyberdarkness with 1-2 equips (2 if you do Buylon with noodle into hardmaking Formula Synchro) and you have the Buster Blader backrow (maybe traptrick and Dogmatika as an extra). Next turn, get buster dragon, get fusion blader, equip another card to cyberdarkness. You have 3 negates and 2 pops (formula into Satelite Warrior). Funny Synergies: -If you negate and destroy a monster from hand or field with the cyberdarkness negation while BB retrain is on field, you gain an equip right?. Cyberdarkness doesn't care who has the Equip. Btw, not OPT both effects. Again, the deck is not broken by any means, but if Konami gives Cyberdarks a way to consistently make cyberdarkness... Oh boy.
i would be fine enough with a cyber angel althoughi guess the cyber dragon video is inevitable. minimum next support report will need to mention cyberdark end dragon
Dragon Sword can make for a pretty spicy Cyberdark tech card. I can't help but feel like Konami is aware of this too as they are unbanning him just as Cyberdark is getting new support in the upcoming structure deck.
Remember that Buster Blader is in duel links as well as anti-meta deck. Now, with all the Blue-Eyes around, the Buster Blader shall rise and give some steel to those dragons.
The Toon Table engine could be used with Skilled White Magician for gimmicky plays. if anyone wants to play the deck on extra difficulty. Necro Fusion could be used to summon Paladin. Dragoncaller Magician synergizes with the deck to a minor degree. And you can always try to use Hermos and Red-Eyes sword for extra big number unga bunga. ALSO cards like "World Legacy Guardragon" help the deck quite a lot Again. More gimmicky options if someone wants to spice things up for fun. EDIT: ALSO You could use the Endymion Cards and the Selene queen of magicians Link to gather Spell counters by using Toon Table if you wanna include Miracle restoring. the Endymion boss monster even has a Scale 8 to match the Scale 2 of Dragoncaller Again. Still gimmicky, but still interesting for self imposed challenges of "i use at least 1 of every buster blader related card"
My gawwd what unga bunga warped format did you come from? Seriously! You just named like 10 monsters that are completely irrelevant to the deck and somehow you're making them fit! Godspeed you glorious bastard
@@trashboat6436 i just edited to add extra stuff like world legacy guardragon spell, because it helps the deck quite a lot and thanks for the compliment
Interesting choices. Necro Fusion makes me think you’d be running something like magician souls to mill DM, plus the draw effect synergizes with ds fusion even. NGL, saw DCM and the double original attack sounds too juicy, thoughh the pen effect is situationally useful.
Duel Links player? Besides Dragoncaller, I could see how you'd have gotten some of those ideas. I've seen Necro Fusion in Lunalights too; it can be pretty twisted. Buster Blader already has pretty good REBD synergy in Duel Links.
