From their 1975 album "Dance Your Troubles Away" on the TSOP/Philadelphia International label. Composed by Ronnie Tyson, Bunny Sigler. Group Members: Archie Bell, Lee Bell, James Wise, Willie Parnell.
I remember when me and my lady were going through hell and I was ready to leave her. It was on a Tuesday morning when I was listening to Phala-phala FM and this song was played by Rofhiwa Nethengwe who is the presenter. I stayed, and we are still together until today. It made me realise how important she is in my life.
This is indeed timeless. U can listen to this song over and over again..Woow!! Well composed..Masterpiece. #Wonder who is still listening to this song in 2022??# Beautiful song
5 years I searched for the CD. When I eventually found it I was over the moon. From 1981 when I first heard the song as a ten year old I fell in love with SOUL music. Thank you dad this is why you will always be in my heart. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten
My wife just requested that I search for this song. She thought it was the O Jays and I thought it was the Dells and rememered that it was the Drells. It was one of our favourite love songs.
This is a classic song from Archie Bell and the Drells. I opened for them in Texas. I even recorded in Pasadena, Texas on the strategy album. You might say that Archie is one of my idols. Some folks say i sound like him and Eddie Levert of the Ojays.
It always brings memories of the family back in the days where we use to share meals on the same dish....the sad part is that most of them are late now😢😢😢
This used to be a heart soothing hit. Many folks thought it was The O,jays. Reminds me of an old friend of mine from Bushbuckridge Mpumalanga South Africa. Pity she,s late now.
first time i heard ths song thaught it wz O'jays,i gree wth yu man.i played it like its for the last tyme(repeat)until i fell asleep.i love it its very touchy and even my fiancee loves it,its like our prayer cause its always no:1 on the playlist.
Never heard this before . So greatful for this song . The best yet. Can't get enough of it. Why can't you hear good music like this anymore. A very touching song .
it reminds me of my beloved uncle who passed on many years ago , the man who got me started into this music thing , he would sing along on his knees with every emotion showing on his face . thank you my music teacher Johnnie Mc Cavity Matlokotsi . the cat man .
am just 22 years of age but my this song is a HIT !!!!! i first heard it from my father in 2013 who recently passed away this song reminds me of him...
I was In love at that this with a man Name Alvin Richardson this was in the 70's I really relate this to him. I really loved him but those kinda promises you can't ever make . live and learn.
Sept.1st: Happy birthday Singer-songwriter Archie Bell. Archie Bell & The Drells. Philadelphia International All Stars. Thank you and God bless. Thanks for the upload, FrankeyHoboken. Blessings
I'm sure most of the Southern Africa commentators were listeners of Radio Bop at one time. These were their anthems. This reminds me of the Boycey Diale, Tebogo Matiime and all the rest of the dejays. Nearly forgot my country lady
Awu takes me back to Radio Metro days back in 1995 1st time hearing this track on a Sunday on Grant Shakoane show, from 3pm to 6pm shubaba to shubaba. Those were the days
there was my favorite DJ from the former radio Transkei ,his name is Mzwandile Mangxaba, the guy knows knows music,he is the one who introduced me to this kind of music.bro Ad wherever you are I love you
@@bulelwampofana8093 Hope you can help me, there was a jazz track that Ntsikelelo Maphosa used to play on his weekday sports show as a jingle, been looking for that jazz song, I remember around 1994 he used to open hia show with that jazz song and play it as his jingle track, if you can tell me the artist if you know
Many folks who were old enough to be enjoying music at the time of this song's peak, had mistaken it for an O'Jays super hit, probably because of Archie Bell's voice which sounded like Eddie Levert's.
