im on sonic's side... Sally over reacted when sonic said that he needs to fight eggman. i understand that when he was in space for a year that she thought he was dead for a year. but she had no reason to yell at him like that. and she had no reason to slap him across the face and call him selfish. he's saved her life, god knows how many times, and he sacraficed his life to save the entire planet. so, she had absolutely no reason to start that fight and break up with him because over reacted. (not trying to start an argument with those who r on sally's side... im just stating my opinion)
Another reason I hate Sally she takes things to far and sonic is in the right that's why I pretend like Sally isn't a part of the series and why in my smash brothers story I'm pairing sonic up with rosalina
I totally understand Sally, not saying that I'm on her side, she just wants sonic to be safe and have a life together. But it isn't right for her to slap Sonic after he came back for A WHOLE YEAR and tell him hes "Selfish". Sonic on the other hand, he sacrificed so much for Sally and the people of Mobius then went to outer space, after a whole year he finally came back, then all he gets is an argument with Sally and a Slap. So that explains that I'm mostly one Sonic's side
I hate it when people justify the slap as if Sally has sacrificed far more than Sonic ever did which is just like when they justify Amy hitting Sonic with her stupid hammer in Sonic Heroes, Sonic X, Sonic Riders and Sonic and the Black Knight (these games would have been far better without this old-fashioned version of her) and even sometimes fanmade videos like “Amy doesn’t want to wait any longer” by Toonsite Animation. No wonder Sonic doesn’t have girlfriends!

They can be more than love interests. Btw, the 2010s had the worst writing for the characters. Especially Forces by turning Tails into a bigger coward than you could imagine before 2018.
I'm 50/50 on this. After hearing the argument for this. They both have strong cases. Sonic's concern is to make sure the war comes to an end, but Sal just wants to see that he'll live to see another day. Neither is wrong in this situation.
True but Sally didn't have to smack him especially THAT hard and Sonic is trying to save the world if he just stood with Sally in that case their side would more than likely lose then what'll they do. I respectfully disagree. Sally had no right to slap Sonic or call him selfish. Like I understand she missed him and is concerned for his wellbeing but the thing about heroes is that they always go out of their way to help, or at least try to, someone when they need it, even if they end up dead afterwards. Similar to what John Paul said, Its like Batman leaving Gotham City police to take care of the Joker alone to start a family with CatWoman
14:45 The infamous SLAP scene! I don't really hate this scene and here's why: Yes, Sally was out of character a bit. Her fiance had been 'dead' for over a year and she just watched him nearly be killed. After all the drama they've been through, I think Sally sees taking the throne as a time to be slowing down and really thinking about her future. A future she wants to have with Sonic. But he constantly is running off into danger. On Sonic's side the war is still going on. He's the only one who stop their worst enemy, and he's seen more than enough to know that there are more important things than what he wants. That also includes a future with Sally. Maybe he is being selfish to always leave her behind to worry and dread if he's going to come back alive. Especially after the whole space/death thing. Sonic knows a lot has been sacrificed and he wants to end the war against Eggman to prove it all was worth it. Both of them made good points in their fight. This doesn't mean I'm not a fan of this couple, cause I am. But this showed that those two still have some maturing before either of them is ready for a mutual commitment.
I agree that the slap is not the problem but I thing that the fact that sally pretty much said in front of all of knock hole city that you all can go to die as long as I can be together with sonic was never truly acknowledged with actually would have open lost of possibility for future story's like the citizens start to trust less and less in sally the freedom fighters start to debating if in her current shape sally is fit to be there leader or that older and sill love interest of sonic like Mina and Amy got to Sally to explain for her what she has done and that put sonic on changes will eventually destroy what there love about him and other stuff like this.

Sonic and Sally breaking up?! So heartbreaking! I think Sally's slap was pretty reasonable because you could see how hurt Sally was when Sonic passed away. That means she isn't selfish. She just missed him. When she saw Mina hugging Sonic, Sally wasn't jealous, just feeling clingy of what she witnessed.

This is another reason Sonic and Sally are my favorite video game couple. I'm not at all ranting or pissed that they break up because they're such a great couple. No this break up is another reason I love them so much. Because this break up was powerful, emotional, realistic and quite heartbreaking. It didn't feel forced, it didn't feel sappy, no no, it was real and powerful, and it hit the right note. Bravo to whoever wrote this issue, because this break up was way more mature and emotional than any of the Nicolas Sparks shitfests I had to sit through.
I like Sally Acorn but she was out of character. This issue, 134 A.K.A. The Slap is one of my least favourites as it introduced Ash the Mongoose, who is a real jerk and the fact why people hate Sally Acorn as she is one of my favourite characters in the series. Ian Flynn made the comics better before Ken Penders's lawsuit.
I have a feeling that Ass Mongoose (not a typo, like many other Ken Penders comic characters, he is one of the worst Sonic characters) was inspired by Reggie Mantle (and his carbon copy Jason Blossom), other Archie Comics characters that are nothing but two-dimensional, misogynistic love rivals of Archie Andrews (if people can accuse Sonic for standing women like Sally Acorn, Amy Rose and Mina Mongoose up, they could damn well accuse Archie Andrew’s for doing the same shit to Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Cheryl Blossom and etc in Riverdale).

So, this is the infamous ''The Slap'' issue. It wasn't so bad for me. I am not in the side of ''Who was right? Sonic or Sally?'' These things happen a lot, like the real life, but we need go ahead with our lives and forgive us each other and maybe go back, as a couple or friends. Anyway, this dub was amazing and ''the broke'' part with Elise theme in the background was touching.
The problem with the comic is they want Sonic to be the bad guy so bad but he isn't to be honest he's being sympathetic like he went through hell and he's being called out for it and Sally is a character

Fans even the writers of this comic said this issue did not sell to well. Why couldn't there been another reason why they broke up? All the writers did was messed up Sally's character demeanor in this issue and that's why we have Sally haters.
Also the reason why Sonic's father was the exception to be deroboticized because that the injuries he suffered were too severe. Being the last of the Robians was the only way for Jules to be kept alive. 5:30

Except did Tails really have his heart rip out or is it just that his lust for a woman that is two times older than him super creepy because he felt the same way as Sonic since the end of issue 134 like he shouldn’t be so proud of destroying Knothole, letting Sally plummet to her doom, make wveryone think he was dead for a year from issues 125-134 and ONCE AGAIN throw a temper tantrum at Eggman in issue 175?
So I have my own opinions on this. I think the main reason that Sally displayed her emotions in the fashion that she did was because she believed her boyfriend was dead for about a year and while it's true he's alive now she doesn't want to lose him again. So she wanted him to be with her because if she was forced to have to go through that sort of pain again she probably wouldn't know what to do with herself. I don't think Sonic is being selfish if anything he was being self less considering how many times he sacrificed himself in order to save others. Both of them displayed valid points but the situation could have been handled privately instead of publicly in order for them not to make a scene. Plus Robotnik just declared war so looking at it strategically it would be naive if not sheer stupidity to take one of your strongest warriors if not THE strongest warrior off the battle field.
Tails had no right to be mad at Sonic in issue 155. It’s like he was justifying Sally poking him with a stick in issue 7, getting mad at him for killing her in issue 47 and putting Sonic in danger by breaking up with him for wanting to be a hero in issue 134!
The entire comic dub is fine, but that argument near the end was actually pretty shocking and if another cartoon or comic couple had that, then it would be really surprising.
Another nice dub. The only problem I have with this issue is that it would've gotten my heart a little more if it weren't for that the illustration reminded me of Animaniacs. What they had on the cover was good. If that stayed with the rest... Like Tails finally knowing something about his parents.
I understand Sally was heart broken after believing Sonic was dead for a whole year. But was this is unacceptable, Sonic did everything he could to get back home and wasted a year of his life. He was only thinking about the others before himself, and all Sally did is overreact, bitch slapped him, and called him selfish. She even sounds like she only cared about Sonic more than her subjects. Seems to me that Sally is the selfish one. This may sound crazy, but I still support Sonally. To me, I don't blame Sally I blamed Archie. He made her COMPLETELY out of character.
Thus is the beginning of the end. After which the Freedom Fighters splinter off, and in their weakened state, the Dark Alliance STRIKE, picking them off one by one. Sonic is beaten by Flash Man who freezes time and places sonic in a chamber. Tails is taken down by Gravity Man, Knuckles is beaten by Gemini Man, Antoine falls to Skull Man, Rotor is brought down by Flame Man and Bunnie is beaten by Elec Man. And Sally is brought down by Omegus, who was formerly known as Sigma.

Say, I've been working on something, and I was thinking, from all the comic dubs I've seen (even though I've only seen a few) you guys show the most Panache. OMG!!! I have been a fan of Sonic since I was a kid and seeing someone dub this comic in such a proficient manner was amazing** It was like watching a play. Awesome job guys and ladies!!! If i could give three thumbs up thats what this deserves cant wait for more
It's issue 134 comic dub but every time sonic says something it's ear rape but every time it switches panels the jimmy nutron scene changer happens, and when the scene changes a random wwe add starts to play , when the argument happens and Sally says something you can here a wwe crowd says what, when a new character comes from somewhere the metal gear subtitles that show the characters name and who is voicing them appears and when knuckles appears you can here his rap in the background and it will get louder when he says something,when sonic comes up with a witty comment or comeback oh's can be heard ,when the red fox comes on screen the song gold digger plays ,every time a door is open the start of all star starts , and when comic is going to end you can hear the saindflde song start
“Is your feet blue?” That question hasn’t really been answered today but most likely is for it being based of SATAM as his feet are blue there tho in AOSTH his feet are the colour of his arms.
Might be a coincidence, but its ironic that during the scene were Sally was being a bitch, the theme song of Princess Elise (a despised character from a terrible Sonic game) was playing in the background.

Normally I'd say something like "I don't care how but but get her some chocolate stat" but as somebody with anxiety I'm almost convinced that she also has it. I get it's not an excuse and she's channeling it into a panic fit but but Christ I kind of feel for her like I've literally been in a situation like this, not like with a romantic relationship but with other things that I was afraid of losing two to haunting memories. I can tell the anxiety is eating her alive. Now I don't blame sonic, because I feel there's other reasons as to why he didn't quite recognize it right away. I often theorized that both characters are autistic. Which would certainly explain a few things and why sonic being afraid of dating, (running away for amy and shit) felt more comfortable around Sally. It would also explain why a lot of Aspe's or to lean toward sonic as an interest.
very good voice acting everyone! this was really well done, especially the end! the emotion was awesome, i actually never liked th art style in this issue though...
