Hi Daniel, its Matt and Momo here. You need to do the rest of our rooms please 😂 this is amazing!! ❤️🥰🔥 Thanks again for taking the time to put your amazing creative brain to a thing like this. The amount of time and effort to produce a video like this in such a short time is amazing. I didn't expect it so soon. You really didn't disappoint, really smart unique ideas, and the standout attention to detail that you provide, it really feels like these designs are very achievable! We love it! We will keep you updated on our progress, and hopefully you can eventually see the finished result in person! ☺️

I would like to see a solution for the insulation. You could do an air gapped mimic wall framing fabric or paper to use static air as insulation and the frame can mimic the traditional construction. Or you could do a full wall curtain. And if you want to minimize these changes only do the North wall since that is where most benefit is gained.

Amazing project! Daniel, right now there are some invisible sliding door hardware that are quite elegant and not so pricey and I think is worth checking on next projects for your minimalistic approach. This would have fit the room much better, since the barn doors hardware seems too clunky and it is the only thing out of line here for me.

Beautiful transformation! And for some reason, “Japandi” cracks me up though I love the aesthetic. Some while ago I built an ottoman and used round ‘puff’ feet (think pork bun). Does IKEA offer this style? You might want to look at stacking these for the two seater instead of conventional legs . Ironically these would reflect the beautiful hanging light design. For how much emphasis there was on functionality, it's odd that the finished design removed all the shelf space in the kitchen and the closet near the entrance. Sure, this looks great if you're trying to capture stock photos for a design magazine, but how can anyone actually USE this house? Where do people put their jackets? Where do other appliances like the microwave go? A lot of thought was put into making the place uncluttered and functional, but the end result isn't practical at all.
@psyaiya
@psyaiya Год назад
4:55 I think you missed the part where he said that the kitchen island built is done with cabinets. It's a bit confusing because the picture shows 8 cabinets but he says 6 cabinets at 600x400mm, and if you're using bar stool seating as depicted which are higher than normal then it might be two layers of 6 cabinets (12 cabinets) for 1200x1200x1600 mm or 2.3 m^3 of storage space. That's plenty of storage space

So...I heard that in Japan, houses devaluate immediately after you buy them. You buy a house for 187k usd and after 30 years of paying it, it is worth even less. is this true? i need a japanese here who can confirm or deny it...
@RossHall-UK
@RossHall-UK Год назад
Sort of. House market here doesn't work the same as the investor led markets in Europe and I think US. You buy a house to live in, so what you pay in mortgage is more like paying rent and at the end you get to keep the house. The land the house stands on makes up a large chunk of the value. We've had a few old houses our way bought, pulled down and new ones put up because it's more cost effective than trying to sell the old one. Our house was nearer to the top end of values because it had just been reformed (renovated), whereas one that's not been touched for 8+ years over the way is selling for about 80% of what we paid. Our house will drop in value the further from being reformed we get. Across the way are some brand new houses that cost upwards of ¥40m and it'll be interesting to see what happens to their values given they've better insulation, solar power etc.
