Hi guys! I wanted to ask how to do this properly with the CabRig. I understand what it's about, but I'm failing miserably at implementing it... I normally go straight into an AI with my guitar and from there via USB-C into the MacBook, where I have various plugins that I also use in a DAW. If I go directly from the CabRig-Out into the AI, everything sounds a bit "dull". The Architect software only works via USB-C from the Blackstar Head to the MacBook, of course. But what exactly is the signal chain like if I want to use the amp in my DAW via the Architect software...?!? I don't quite understand it... I'm happy for any help, thanks!
Thanks for your comment! At 2:51 a new project is opened via Logic Pro X, the last project you had open should open by default but you can use the shortcut CMD + N on Mac to create a blank project! Hope this helps!
I'm toying between this and the spark, I had a Blackstar tvp and loved it. Are there downloadable pre-sets for the architect software like there is with the spark tonecloud? I really just want to be able to search and download, I'm not looking to start tweaking settings and spending time building my own patches. I.e. I want a john mayer tone, or a slash tone, with tonecloud you can find them and youre done within minutes. Is this the same?
Yes, we have the online community built into Architect. Here you can search for presets and load them into your ID Core V3 amp. There’s also the dice button to randomise amp and effects settings. This can be really great when trying to explore different tones. Hope this help!
Can I add the patches from the Insider Community? How can I do that? Can the patches created with ID 60 or Silverline be stored in my ID Core V2? Is there an index about the patches categorized into amp model?
Hi Mattia. Yes you can upload patched to the online community with Architect. Download the Architect software and use the online community to browse and add patches. You can share patches across all of our digital amp ranges too, though there may be slight tonal changes. I hope this helps!
When you connect Architect with ID TVP 15 there is no cab and mic sim, presence and resonance knobs and some effects which you have in this video. Are those options available only with ID Core?
I'm having a problem registering my product. I'm a little upset that I need to register the product so that I can download the architect software. I've created an account, found the correct product name from the list, got the correct serial number, added the name of the store that I purchased it from but when I attempt to upload the receipt of purchase it won't load.
Hello E&C, please could I ask that you attempt registering your product at first without the receipt, by providing the model of your amp, the serial number and date of purchase. Your receipt can be uploaded at a later date.
That's some cool software. I was just thinking about how limiting some of the effects on the IDcore v3 are, especially the lack of a 3-band EQ. Glad I came across this because I learned about another (more expensive) amp that had software like this and thought I made the wrong decision. Nope, the IDcore v3 is still a good decision. Now to find my micro USB and to see about hooking it up to my big 1x16 bass amp for some more "umph". I know there's no 1/4 inch output jack on the IDcore v3 to run into another amp, but do you think it would work if you run the blackstar through your computer, and the computer into an amp? I have my computer hooked up to speakers which I can connect with my 1x16 bass amp. Dunno if that's too much work for what it's worth though.
Hey! Thanks for your comment! You are able to save patches to your amp via Architect, check out this video by TheGuitarGeek from 15:18 on how to do so! Hope this helps!
Hi, is there a way to see if patches are compatible with my amp? I am using the 10w V3 and everytime i load patches from the community it always says it is not the same amp.
Hi Aiman, yes all patches will be compatible with your IDC V3 10. The reason some patches may suggest the amp is different is because the Architect platform works across many different designs like Silverline / ID Core high Power models etc. This means that some of the effects are slightly different. An example might be a patch designed with a Flanger effect might be different on your amp because that segment is an envelope filter on the V3 models. It is safe to try any patch you download and adjust / edit to taste from there.
question Cab Lite do you need headphones to use cab lite ? and also with patches when I was in the Architect forum download patch it will state this patch was not will with version 3 ?
@@Mr-Safology I am returning the amp the hum was bad there is definite electrical issues with these amps there is loads of people saying the same thing , the shop where I purchased it heard it from my phone they said oh that's not good, and Blackstar has not responded first Blackstar product last Blackstar product ,
Hi Brian, Cab-Rig can be heard via the USB recording output, or via the 3.5mm specific Cab-Rig line output. This could be a stereo mini jack to 2 x 1/4 jacks into your interface or two channels on your mixer or lastly headphones. The feature is built into the amp for a recording direct feature or jamming silently.
Hi Brian, this maybe down to the Cab-Rig lite overall master level output could be too high, causing some overtone distortion and unwanted noise. Try bringing this down within the Architect software & it should cure this. Also, if your pick ups are high output and you prefer a tighter tone, there’s an optional noise gate to use if you wish.
@@Blackstaramps cab rig was not used the shop heard over the phone it was that noticeable Noise Gate was on the shop will be issuing a full refund, it happens but I am not sure if I will go for an ID Core again there has been more people experiencing the same issue,
How to on effects loop in Blackstar Silverline deluxe head. Insider doesn't work for patches anymore after flash became obsolete. Not able to use effects loop for my looper through architect...
Hi there! An update for Architect (1.0.2) was released on 27th Jan which includes the effects loop mode switching functionality. Please auto-update to this latest version and that should resolve for you.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, Architect is fully compatible with your ID:Core 10 V2. Architect is also fully compatible with Big Sur, but the discontinued INSIDER software is not. Hope this helps!
We recently released the latest software called "Architect". It is an updated version of Insider, and It is compatible with ID: CORE V3. You can download it from here: blackstaramps.com/uk/architect Hope this helps!
Hey Robert, could you pop an email over to our product support team at enquiries@blackstaramps.com - they should be able to get you up and running 👍 in the meantime try a different USB cable if you have one available
have you trouble with connecting to pc ? My 2 pc doesnt recognize that device ;C idkk wat to do, i update system, net framework and still doesnt working. Can anyone help me ?
Hey Marcelo, if you are still having problems please get in touch with our support team on enquiries@blackstaramps.com - they will be able to get you up and running!
Every channel has multiple delays, and multiple reverbs but not multiple distortions. Seriously??? Better love the one option that you get. This should be as versatile as the Boss Katana.
My questions would be... 1. Tuner range? Can it tune instruments to 432hz/ alternate tunings? 2. Tap tempo for modulation, is it variable and does it stand alone away from the delay tempo? 3. Delay tempo, can it be tweaked? Can it maintain a 90bpm while the modulation is perhaps running a 60bpm tap tempo? 4. How is the grounding of the amp? The power socket is three pin and the amp power input is a two pin, will there be any noise issue? Thank you so much... Had the first generation BlackStar Beam, Blackstar Fly Stereo and HT5R.
I have a V2 40 and found in the settings menu an option for noise gate, can be set to "low" or "high." But not the pedal as shown here. Also don't have presence or resonance controls for V2s
Hi. I have problems connecting the amp to my laptop. Architect software does not recognize the amp. I have been searching on the internet about this problem to no avail. Do you know if I need additional settings or drivers? I can not connect the Insider either. It sends a message saying I need Silverlight to download something, but the link to Silverlight is non existent... Can you please help with the issue? Thanks Jordan
The big differences are the Architect software featuring our new Cab-Rig lite platform for direct jamming via headphones or recording via USB. Cab-Rig comes with a huge choice of cabinets, mics on or off axis, and speaker tweaking. Giving you some amazing control for recorded tones. Unlike IR’s which are a snapshot these are totally customisable by the user. You can also direct live stream or pre record video / audio simultaneously via our streaming output. All by using a TRRS cable. Finally one of the other big changes is that you can power your ID core V3 amps with our PB-1 rechargeable lithium battery for up to 8 hours portable battery life.
@@Blackstaramps Also V2 has an unstoppable hiss sound. I hope you handled this problem with V3. I was hoping to stop this hiss sound with Architect software but no luck. DO you have plans to fix this problem with the updates?
Dont show the 2 High Gain channels the only real reason to buy these Amp's or this version actually !!!??? Thanks for nothing these Amp's do Hard Rock & Metal really well but Blackstar never gives us Videos on how well they do but search YT and you can find people who do they are very good considering the price of the ID: Core v2 v3's capabilities in those Genre's !!
I have the id core 100 and artist 30..2 great warm sounding amps...if i had to base buying a blackstar amp off this demo..i wouldn't....worst tone i ever heard...
Sounds like they recorded the speaker output of the ID:Core and not the in-DAW audio. The speakers of the ID:Cores are really not that great. With headphones or by using the USB out to a decent interface/speaker combo its a whole diffrent world.
@Greemfy Exactly what i was talking about...I wasnt saying this guy is not a good player..but if i was looking at buying this amp and it was awash in all that reverb and effects..i wouldnt buy it b/c it sounded awful..He says it was not a tone video...Well if your gonna demo the amp..better get some good tones if you wanna sell it.
@@ImOnUToob Im aware of that..but wouldnt you want the amp to sound good?..There new software is meaningless in a awful sounding amp...plus its there newest release...i wouldnt buy it based on this.
