Sarah DTD And that's a very naive and stupid thing to say. Equalizing all of the complex geopolitical processes into "some maniac wanted to blow stuff up and now we're screwed" is dumb. "You wanted war you have war" is a paper thin commentary on politics. I've heard political albums that dwelled quite deeply into Orwell and political satire (Like "The Animal Farm") and connected it with texts of modern philosophers and psychologists about the state of human culture. I've also heard concept albums that treated the Rhodesian Bush War as a case study of European colonialism and post-colonial culture. That's a good, interesting way of writing music about politics. Writing lyrics in the vein of "You take peace and spit it out as war now you're gonna' regret it" is not interesting. Mankyliam Or maybe I've just read thousands of lyrics and I can distill them to their basic premise and message? Also, "fuck you fuck you" was an exaggeration.

To here the news is probably one of saddest things I've heard all year. I never knew that Tom actually had cancer and thought the band cancelled their U.S. tour because Tom had family issues. Founding out about this yesterday made me shamefully regret that I stopped listening to Architects a few months ago. I was even more shocked to find out he was only 28 years old which makes me feel worse that someone at that age had to go through a terrible disease that no one wants in their life ever. He fought desperately to make it while still trying to perform shows for the fans. Tom is what inspired me to start playing guitar and I'm glad that I did start. Because of this tragedy, I will make sure to buy their latest album (maybe all of them) and will pay for concert tickets to see them the first chance I get. My thoughts and condolences go out to Sam, Alex, Adam, Dan, his family, the fans and any former Architects members. R.I.P. Tom Searle. You will be greatly missed.

I agree that for some people Sam's vocals might lack variety at times but you have to give him massive props for what he does have in his locker. His tone is instantly recognizable and his vocals overall are incredibly powerful. It sounds like he has a nuclear reactor in his throat.

+Michael Whitney I laugh everytime I read a comment like this. As a vocalist myself it boggles my fucking mind how anyone can say shit like this. Monotonous? His tone is from a parallel universe dude... If ANYONE could replicate what Sam does even fractionally - I don't think they'd ever stray far from it either, it's simply unprecedented. And for what need would he need to? Since when does having more than a couple tone variations mean anything? I applaud those who do it and pull it off but for the MAJORITY of vocalists who try to do too much tone shifting they sound like pure shit and it's usually completely unnecessary. When I look at almost any favorite vocalist of mine one parallel runs between them... They don't change up their tone too often... Because they're fucking good at it. To each his own I suppose. End rant.

+oPolarisBreacho he is amazing but u cant deny his is monotonous and as a vocalist my self when i give hyperbolic basis on one screaming tone i cant change tones after that xD so thats whats probably happens with sam too his usage of this tone is such hyperbolic that he cant change tones happens to many big vocalists for example the vocalist of mice and men when he tried to sing for suicide silence he couldnt really achieve it cause of his use of yelling at this point .its like a lock and when u overdo it it locks almost forever.nevertheless amazing

Meaning of the song : It's about how Isis and groups like that that are currently terrorizing us and mostly the innocent people that happen to live in that warzone are all the product of America's ignorance. Many wars that were really just covers behind their real purpose of getting oil. Also by reacting to such groups by Bombing places and killing more innocents you're planting the seeds for those innocents to have a reason to join one of those groups. It's a vicious cycle that won't end. There's also a underlying message that it's all just a laid out plan and that all of this is done on purpose. This is what i'm getting from it. Don't be hostile. If you think i'm wrong, correct me. Let's have a discussion. We can all benefit from that. Sonically the song follows what they did on Lost forever//Lost together which is in no way a bad thing. in fact it's quite in your face and heavy. I'm digging it.

Of course mainstream medias never, ever goes in the direction of answering/raising that question, they're all about feelings (mostly fear, shock, hate) because feelings are extremely efficient at overshadowing reflection, analysis and wisdom. Today, in our western societies, we're not living physical and brutal war : this one is entirely intellectual. We're in really bad shape, but it's far from over :)

There are a number of other factors, strong religious dogma, Saudi Arabian interest in the oil that ISIS can trade for weapons amongst many others (one of the reasons ISIS exists so strongly). Terrorism has existed in many forms for many millennia and in many cases entirely separate from American interference but it would also be ignorant to say that American interest in the Middle East hasn't fuelled fires that were starting to kindle.

Damn guys. So sorry to hear about your loss. Great band and tom was a stand up guy. Props to him though, he got to do what he loved till he left this world. That's the shit that counts. Unfortunately Tom was the main songwriter for the band, so you might not hear too much of them in the future besides the touring they're gonna do for their latest album. After that, who knows. At least you still have their last album LF/LT to listen to. It's amazing, in my top 10 all time for sure.

I'm listening to this as a result of hearing about Tom's death. And it is an amazing track. Humans should strive to find what their passion and make it their life. That's what he did, and I sincerely hope his family and friends can take some comfort in remembering a life lived to the fullest. RIP Tom.

Been listening to architects since FTTWTE, animals. It's pretty good, I enjoyed a lot. Then found 'royal Beggars', I feel the vibes coz it's sooo related with my feeling. Then I found this, "a match made in heaven", it's the greatest in my opinion. I love arcso much. I'm crying. Personally, I enjoy almost all architects song. The themes, instrumental work, vocal... All aspects. I appreciate newest album, enjoyed it. And also it's bring me to this old treasure. Keep rockin 🤘
