I never liked what I heard from Architects until this song dropped and then I got it. I have now gone back through their discography and have realized the greatness.
Your reaction is the same as mine My girlfriend got a text from me in the morning when i first listened it because she didn't know what was going on... I just wrote: "Holy fucking shit! I'm going insane right now!" This band means so much to me! Met them backstage once and they are all such nice guys.... I have their album AOGHAU inked on my hands... They are IMO the most important band this century!
Pix Wibmer I love it. AOGHAU is one of the best albums ever written. And the hidden messages in the album (which I didn't know Tom had cancer) were incredible. When I listened to AOGHAU after Tom passed it all made sense and really shocked me. Architects won't be the same without Tom and I'm so glad he and Architects have had such an impact on our generation and generations to come. \m/
This was the first appropriate reaction to that song. To me this is the best song ever written, the best music video, the best thing that has ever happened to music. Absolutely incredible. The lyrics, the sound, the performance, everything about it is just perfect.
Whether you're religious or not, it's shit like this that's makes you hope for something beyond death. My condolences to the band, and hope God gives them peace. Rest In Peace Tom...
I don't normally like reaction videos but this one was spot fucking on. Just as speechless as I was when I watched it. Might be the greatest metalcore video.. maybe ever? The emotions that flooded in the first time I watched it were just unreal..
Best reaction video yet I absolutely love the real and true reaction you gave pulls at the heartstrings. This is amazing and epic song and video as well. I broke down as well after seeing it.I still have not stopped watching the video. It's been on repeat for me since it got released. Much love and respect R.I.P Tom the heavens have a received another genius and musical life changer.
AMAZING !!! Felt the same way. Love, how Dan is apparently playing as Tom in this video transcending to another plane of existence. The part "Death is an open door" remainded me of something. Just checked the lyrics for Memetno Mori and there it was, this exact phrase, in the end just before Tom's final statement: ... It's a promise that you cannot break Was your life worth dying for? The universe survives on give and take Death is an open door It's a promise that you cannot break Was your life worth dying for? The universe survives on give and take Decay is the only law Swan song A declaration of endlessness I swear I will not look back As I return into the black When the veil lifts, how will I know? Will I see God? ... That's why I cannot listen to Memento Mori - it's hits too hard with Tom's sudden passing.
Synth Runner Dude. Everything you said is spot on. Dan was living through Tom in this video and song. I think that's why it's hard for me to watch. Memento Mori is hard for me to listen to. All our gods have abandoned us from start to finish is story. To end that album with Momento Mori is emotional but needed. As "Architects" fans now and for the future I think it will only get easier to listen that album. And if not easier hopefully more peaceful for everyone. \m/
This song/video is so fucking good. Pretty sure the idea and visuals from this video were taken straight out of the movie The Fountain. Which is totally awesome. That movie is incredible and correlates with Architects and everything they’ve gone through. Amazing.
well if or when you look at Wage War's - The River, if you choose to watch the video its about cheating shouldnt be that emotional. Also sry for the spam i know it might be a bit till you get to the song but im just excited to see your reactoin to it. R.I.P Tom
Crown of the Dead empire nah he hasnt, he was even explaining how he wishes they would make a full albumb, obviously not know they already were. So i think he thought those three singles were there only songs. Also if you look at his uplaods he has only done witness.
I got to get on that. I don't have too much time now with my newborn and all. But when I get a chance I will do it for you. EVEN THO I don't like Wage War that much. 😘 \m/
I just noticed on that picture on the right of the screen that states ARCHITECTS + DOOMSDAY letters TS are put in a row alone. I don't know if that does have any reference with what I imagine but maybe it means Tom Searle as a tribute to him. I got really emotional the moment I saw it. :,(
God damn man, I've been listening to Architects for about a year now but only just discovered about the passing of Tom, and the bands history. This just adds a whole new level of emotion to the song. I'm in fucking tears I don't know what to say. Rest in peace Tom, Long live Architects.
This is the most appropriate response I have seen yet. I felt both demolished and uplifted the first time I listened to and saw this absolute masterpiece. Have you reacted to hereafter? That is a close second to the feels this one gives.
Genuinely the only reaction video I've ever watched which matched and mirrored every thought and emotion I had 100% when I saw it for the first time. Thank you so much for posting this.
I have never seen a band pull so much emotion into a song before. Right when he started singing I could hear the pain, the anger in the screams, and the confusion of the video. My heart goes out to these guys and I hope they are doing alright. This is a changing point in musical history, and it deserves to be heard. Phenomenal band, phenomenal people. Much love!
Great reaction man. I tear up every single time "what if I completly forget? What if I never accept? Cause when you fade away it's like a brand new doomsday....YEAHH!!!" Great to see someone else be emotional about it.
I'm in love with the CGI in this video. It's like watching the eclipse on acid. It also did so with so much respect to Tom. I was never a huge fan of Architects, but this was well written and well filmed.
Dead Like Disco you should watch the movie The Fountain with Hugh Jackman. Pretty sure that movie is where they got the idea for this video. Also the movie is incredible.
I knew you'd enjoy this one. Even the music video is good. I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be Tom playing as Dan, and Dan ascends into the universe and then Dan is playing himself at the end holding a fragment representing what his brother left behind. Wisdom, knowledge, love etc. I know you usually dislike cleans, but what did you think of them here? at first I was like uh oh, did they go in a different direction? But then they hit us with that amazing Architects sound we all know and love. I am so fucking hyped for this album.
Memento Mori This song is incredible and the video is emotional. Architects have few cleans here and there, with this song I thought (at first listen) they were changing their sound. Maybe leaving the screams behind and for a second I was bummed. But when that sound of "Tom" kicks in and the break before the screams you already knew their gonna hit this hard. And they did and I'm so happy for them. This album will be incredible. Cannot fucking wait.
Thank you Man for your reaction. Thank you soo soo much. We Love Tom Forever ❤ thank you for your emotional reaction. I can unterstand this soo much. THANK YOU
it's difficult to comment on this song without being biased knowing the history of the band and whats happened last over the last year. That being said, I think it's a truly solid Architects song and a wonderful legacy of what Tom started
It's hard to NOT go into this song unbiased. I am truly at a loss for words. I feel as if a beautiful chapter has closed but a new wondrous chapter has begun.
No disrespect but if you think All our gods have abandoned us is one of the best albums ever then you clearly haven't heard Lost Forever//Lost Together cause it's like 100x better
Indeed Bro.... damned, it's ever and ever difficult with this song...since 2017...but...after the Tom's dead... & the video is so...emotional impact !!! The same feeling... but the life continue... Thx for this moment, a sad but great moment, sure. (RIP Tom and thx for your lyrics)
Yeah, it always gets me emotional, even after the 25th view. I cannot get myself to hear it without the video, yet. I always get goosebumps and the part 'I have to do it for you' always brings a tear in my eyes. But it gives me much needed energy, confidence and had helped me make soome tough decisions. Powerful, raw and envigorating, the emotions are a given.
this song is absolutely amazing, hits me reallly hard.. 2 brothers ive known for most of my life lost their dad few years ago, he was an amazing person had all the time in the world for anyone, watching this makes me thing of him and i was literally in tears watching this video. Was so well done showing Tom going into the light and all, moving to someplace better whatever that is. So much respect for the architect guys for just continuing without Tom and making such a great song. He would be so proud of you guys! Im sure many more of you will be pulled at the heartstrings by this song as much as myself cancer is a fucked thing we need to beat that shit
