Ah 'Hollow Crown' era Architects, my favourite. I was obsessed with this album aha, so heavy, so fucking groovy and just so good.

Hollow Crown hits hard. Their newer stuff is cool (Holy Hell is their best album of the newer era), but I sometimes wish they revisited their early mathcore sound, specially Hollow Crown which in my opinion is their best album up to date

Everett, I see you in comment sections everywhere, in mine and other channels. I honestly didn't expect this to be a band that you were into like that. You seem to have a nice wide range of bands that you like. Am I wrong?

@@Hoopsick Not wrong at all. I'm open to lots of subgenres of metal and even deathcore. But there are bands that I listened to that I only like few of their songs. If I really leave a comment, is mostly because I stan the band or I just like the particular song the reactor reacted to.

Not watched it yet, but THANKS! Architects always a banger! Please do more of it! If I could wish for something, it would be the whole "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us" Album... It's just sick from start to finish, especially if you know the story about Tom and that this was basically the last thing he finished in life and it gives so much more meaning to each song. Greetings from Germany! 🤘

I'm glad you're doing more architect reviews brotha! I've listened to this band since their first EP and their progression from then is mind blowing. They are literally my favorite band. I'm definitely still bummed that Tom Searle(guitarist) passed away from cancer in 2016. He seemed like a down to earth/humble guy. I really need to see this band after all this covid-19 crap passes!

Notice how the start of this song is really similar to Possession by Whitechapel. That always stood out to me cause I started listening to both bands around the same time.

You could check out 'Numbers Count for Nothing'. One of my favs on this album. Also Dan Searle is a very underrated drummer imo.

Architects are awesome! Hollow Crown, Daybreaker, Lost Forever Lost Together and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us are all 10/10 albums. Personally LFLT is my favourite. Broken Cross, The Youth is wasted on the young, The Distant Blue are all reaction worthy! A match made in Heaven, Gone with the Wind and Gravity of the AOGHAU album. You'll be hard pressed to find a bad track o any of thos albums though, take your pick 🤘

Right after this album, they made The Here And Now, which is almost unrecognisable as Architects, super generic, and really inhibited their popularity. I'm sure people have recommended the ever powerful A Match Made In Heaven, but Elektra Amber did an awesome cover of Mortal After All. You should also check out The Tempest or The Escape by The Agonist; Lullabies For The Dormant Mind is an incredible album, but The Escape also plays to Alissa's strengths really well
