That tone is awesome. Is there anything in particular you needed to do to set up the bass for this tuning? Anything to be aware of if I wanna do the same?
Doesn't this make the intonation go out of whack because of such weird tunings? How do you manage that and get back to standard tuning without having problems? Or Do you use different gauge and have specifically set such a tuning only for this bass? Please help, a little confused here😅

Eq settings on the ultra are full band compression all the way up, low shelf and 250hz are flat. Low end volume is at 3o clock. 500hz is removed. 1khz is boosted nearly full and 3khz is cut almost off. High shelf is flat. High gain all the way up. High volume at 12 o clock. Cab sim is foresters clear. Bass settings: bass full. Treble full. Remove mids. Both pickups on. Hope that helps

I'm using the Darkglass X Ultra pedal and it's built in cab sim. In terms of bass go for what you like the look ofand what feels best to play. Most 'metal' tones can be easily achieved with the right equipment.
@@swarm6ix_bass I have a friend who switched from the Ernie ball bongo basses to these EHBs and they sound killer. I played one of his bongos once and it was super heavy. I’ve heard the EHBs are lightweight, and those Nordstrand pickups are crystal clear. I just wish a shop near me had them so I could try one out.
