Oh man. You missed their massive upcoming. Theyre still phenomenal now and by far in my top 5 fave bands but man when they first got really noticed during the hollow crown years. All i can say is we were blown away
I did to back in the day tbh. And then about two years I got to see them live. Oh MAN that show blew me away. They really know how to do it. I wasn’t even there to see them necessarily. But they ran that venue without regard for human life. So wild.
Wassup Troy. I want to talk about copyright infringement for a sec. I noticed you have a cool website where you can find good, free transcriptions of songs and here's even a video lesson on a song. I also want to create, and actually sell, drum lessons on metal songs I find very interesting. Can I do that, or is it illegal to sell a groove/fill that isn't actually yours? Uploading a cover to RU-vid isn't really kosher (I also love to do it :D ), but Luke Holland's career started at posting covers. Now I'm confused. I'd love to share my ideas and research on metal songs for a couple of bucks, but I don't want to pay big fines due to copyright infringement. Are you getting into trouble because of doing these videos and transcriptions, or aren't you because they are free? Can you help me out? I'd love to get an answer, so I emailed this message to you as well. Thanks a lot! Your colleague and fellow drummer, Eric P.S.: I love this Architects video. Fantastic cover of an awesome song.
Troy Wright Awesome man, I'm looking forward to it! I have a cover of 94th street by The Word Alive and I transcribed the whole thing and posted a PDF in the description if you want to mess around with that!
You're a goddamn force of nature man. Watching you perform is like physically experiencing an earthquake, only everything shakes in perfect time...jesus.
Excellent production quality, commentary, and most importantly playing! You are definitely going to be one of the most sought after youtube drummers with innovative products like this, good job!
You ripped this track open bro.. just as good as Dan himself. I think I like your style more actually. Dan appears to play more clam and collectively (prob bcuz he made the track), but notheless you've got this badass flow as well. Not to mention the ability to get the most sound out of a simply deceiving kit. Nothing flip sticking flashy, or incredibly show boating, just pure, raw, skill. I Enjoyed your cover. Keep it up man
This is a great cover. I don't know how many times I've watched it but, when i want to listen to this song. I just come watch your video. great job man, you earned a long-time sub. Keep being awesome
This is not a request but more of a idea/suggestion. Your technical tight style of drumming I think would be well suited for songs from the band Gideon. Especially the newest record. Very fun but challenging parts. You are my most favorite drummer on youtube to watch. Keep the videos coming. Kudos.
Great choice of Song, their entire Lost Forever.. album is a masterpiece! I think their drummer gets way too little exposure. Your video may change that :)
Can you make a lesson video for increasing your double bass speed and independance of your weaker foot ? how to work on that etc. I really love your videos keep them comming !!
HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT PRACTICING WITH YOUR FEET... YOU PLAY AND KEEP TIME WITH EASE. . FOR SOME REASON LATELY MY DOUBLES ARE OFF MY SINGLES SUSTAINED ARE OFF I FEEL LIKE IM HAVING TO RE LEARN AND TEACH MY FEET ALL OVER AFTER 8 YEARS OF DRUMMING. PLEASE HELP. THANKS. AWESOME COVER
I was in the same boat for ages recently, I simply had to go through teaching myself again, easing back into it and before I knew it I was comfortable again
I think Troy said there's no reason to start double pedal stuff with the left foot. Something along those lines. I've noticed he always starts with his right for. I guess whatever feels most comfortable to you :)
@@KGTv123 I know this is two/three years old, but Matt from August Burns Red always starts with his left foot even though he's a righty. It's all just preference.
