Architects Ben and Alexis are back on Gemology and this time they will be REACTING to different Assassin's Creed games.
The games include Assassin's Creed Syndicate, 3 Remastered, Rogue, Origins, and Odyssey.
From the London of 1800s and 1700s in New York to way back in ancient times of Egypt and Greece, Ben and Alexis will give their insights and tell us about architecture and how much it has changed through the years.
Stay tuned for an awesome episode!
The Assassin's Creed series is an award-winning video game series that currently consists of twelve main games, seventeen spin-off games, several short films, and various transmedia projects. Each of the main games has spawned novelizations, adapting and adding to the story of their respective game.
The entire franchise is developed primarily by Canadian studio Ubisoft Montreal and published by French video game company Ubisoft, with the exception of Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles and the mobile version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which was developed by Gameloft, Assassin's Creed Chronicles by Climax Studios, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey by Ubisoft Québec.

Why did you choose to show them footage of Aten (A Mythological Afterlife from a DLC) in Assassin's Creed Origins instead of an actual city in the base game? I feel like that choice really misrepresents the game's adherence to accuracy.
@victorcatalanp.1162
@victorcatalanp.1162 Год назад
I said the same thing to myself, also in odessey, they started with a generic fortres istead of Athens or any other iconic place. They need to work more in the game footage.
@ezioassassin2028
@ezioassassin2028 Год назад
@@victorcatalanp.1162 They also mentioned AC Odyssey was set during the Etruscan period. Now either she messed up her history or she was told it was but either way that is entirely incorrect. Odyssey was set during the Peloponnesian War (The war between Spartans and Athens) in Greece about 100 years after the end of Etruscan period (The Etruscans were in Italy not Greece). They should've shown Sparta or Athens, not some random fortress that may or may not even be a real fortress. They should've also shown the city of Alexandria or a small village along the Nile for Origins. Hell, show Cleopatra and her house or something.

Assassins Creed 3 starts off at the year 1754 in the first chapters. Then time skips to the real protagonist during 1770+ , one of the later missions did involve that protagonist participating in the Boston Tea party.

The facing, originally composed of fine Turah limestone stones, has almost completely disappeared. Only a few blocks remain at the level of the bases of the Cheops pyramid, resting on the stones of the platform. The fine limestone of Tourah was indeed a material of choice reused by the quarries of the Middle Ages, in particular to build the mosque of Sultan Hassan between 1356 and 1362.

A cordial greeting to you!!...No one better than you, to analyze this incredible singer who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, RU-vid and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in RU-vid to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality.....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bDX3FhmyNac.html

You should get them to play some of the discovery tours from assassins creed. Assassin's Origins Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla all have them. They are museum like guided tours where the player is free to walk around, explore, and interact with the world free of danger (Enemies and combat is disabled in this mode) all while taking optional guided tours where the game teaches you about the time period and the cultures, lifestyles, and sometimes architecture of the area
@JTGallant
@JTGallant Год назад
Of all the experts react series, I find these architect ones suffer the most from lack of direction. It's a great idea but never seems to pan out the way the others do where the experts give us insight to what they're seeing, feedback to accuracy or thoughts on possibly being impressed by something. The gameplay doesn't match what would be the most suitable for them to digest nor do they seem to have enough info about the game prior to going into the video. So we end up with unanswered questions, speculation and tangents instead of organic reaction and commentary. Just a thought.

Those experts are really cool, but people choosing footage are just throwing in random stuff. It could've been much better - there's London in syndicate and older version in Valhalla, there's Paris in Unity and older version in Valhalla, Odyssey has Athens, Origins has Alexandria and monumental aqueducts. There's just so much cool architecture in those games, instead were looking at pieces co led together from RU-vid.

You guys need to hire someone to just walk around and explore in these games, because the architects have so much useless knowledge that doesn't get to be fully expressed because of a lack of direction and slow enough footage to really look at the environments.

The areas/gameplay they used for Origins and Odyssey especially were atrocious choices. But they weren't much better for the others. Severe lack of views of the cities (from high vantage points or otherwise), unfocused camera (probably cause they keep entering combat) and way too much traversal through little alleys where you can't see anything but the walls around you. Also this person has no traversal skill. And at least try to direct the architectures through it a bit by telling them what country/city/town it's supposed to be if they couldn't guess it.
