When I first saw the video clip, with those funky wigs I said to myself: Electric Callboy, is that you?

I get Rammstein vibes from their sound, especially the guitars

This song is honestly top 3 for me out FTWWTE and Holy Hell (haven’t heard the rest but can’t imagine they are too different from the holy hell sound tbh) this song was OK at first but like any new sound the more listens I gave it’s honestly unreal. The bass before the breakdown is fire

A lot of people are hating the track because it’s “generic”. For me, it’s not even that. A lot of the same people listen to “generic” hardcore and metalcore all the time. As long as it’s heavy, they’re happy with it. This song doesn’t boast the same sort of lyrical genius Architects is known for. The chorus is pretty cliche. On top of that, aside from the pretty good riff, there’s nothing too special about it. Overall, it kinda feels like a track that could have been cut from their last record. It’s not horrible, just not as polished and evolved as Animals. A song which is very similar in many ways but went the extra mile while this song really doesn’t.

This song is pretty good, not their best track. It’s a bit generic. However it’s still decent enough. It gets the job done. Basically animals 2.0 I hope the rest of this album is better because I absolutely love architects.

tasty riff indeed. I do agree is so different than what they even released last year. I will always love architects, and it's great they are doing something different.. Finding an Identity of their own past the Tom era. We could have lost them after the All our gods have abandoned us cycle.. Thankfully we didn't, and they are still here growing each year, with each release.

It's not "bad" by any means, they're all fantastic musicians and i'm guessing there's a big audience for this sound. I don't even mind if they're trying to reach a bigger audience, respect the grind. All that said, it's absolutely less interesting to me in pretty much every way than pre FTTWTE. I used to feel that Sam cared in every song. It was so easy to hear his pain/heart/intention. Now it just feels like they sat in a room and said "how can we write a good rock song?" Just my opinion tho!

Miss their older stuff. Not impressed. Sad too cuz I love architects.

feels like a song that didn't fill it's potential to me, I would've loved if Sam went heavier on this song as there was a lot of playing room, but I love industrial, linkin park and loved their last album so I hope they continue in this direction

Opening sort of sounds like the Ghetsis theme from Pokémon BW

As a long time fan of the band its super hard to say anything negative because with everything that has gone on it just feels wrong to say anything. However what I would say is, not that the band isn't capable of creating music to the similar level as previously done (its hard to guess because they simply haven't tried to do that) and with the new music its like they're purposefully resisting adding anything extra to their sound, it sounds so stripped back musically and so much more emphasis is now given to the vocal melody which it wasn't before, Sam would be almost monotone in some songs because of all the musicianship going on behind him. They'll always get people complaining about the new sound, they have had that since Ruin came out and everyone moaned it wasn't Nightmares 2.0. However just go back and listen to any of their older stuff, forget that its "heavier" because in some instances it really isn't but (sounds so pretentious) actually listen to the music, it has so many layers musically going on, the tempo changes, the way the drums and guitars change throughout the songs, the dynamics. I just quickly skipped through Nihilist and there are like 8 different changes at least in what the song does. Tear gas has maybe like 3/4 if you really want to count a half time as a change.

If they stuck with this sound I'm all for it but I hope it will be consistent and not just a one off. I do love Industrial sounding music and although the lyrics are generic doesn't stop me from loving the song

You guys should check out the band Project Vela their song “Watch You Leave” it is a couple years old but great song

I would say "old sound", they seriously sounds like 2005 generic rock band. I instantly get Nine Lashes / Red / Egypt Central vibes. It just sad that band with such a great sounds evolve/devolve to something like that. There's a lot of band sounding like that, ignoring if it's good or bad, but not too much bands that sounds like OG Architects.

This song sucks. We’re all just trying to Tell ourselves it doesn’t because it’s Architects that wrote it. To me that makes it so much more of a bad song. They used to write with passion and then they came out with this ? It’s laughable.
