One of the best visual documentary of Gaudi, no artificial music, focus on details and time to enjoy them, congratulations!

When Gaudi finished architecture school, his professor famously said "We have put our stamp of approval on someone who is either a genius or a madman. Only time will tell." Gaudi is so unusual that clearly people are still arguing about which one, even 100 years later!

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but to my eye, this edifice is breathtaking. When you see it in person it literally takes one’s breath away. I’m normally loathe to use this word for non-human subjects but in this case, the form is sexy. Thank you for posting this video!

... and no other architect has even approached to create such amazing landscape to date.

Every inch of this house is designed with so much thought and love, every minute detail a work of art in its own right. Whether people like the building or not, it's nothing short of ingenious. I find it very pleasing to let the eye wander across the intricate shapes and curved surfaces...can a house have sex appeal? Seems this one does.

In 2018, i was fortunate to be able to spend 6 weeks in the old quarter. I made regular visits to this site, but there is much more than La Familia. The Parks, the Music Hall, the restaurants where you have to stand up to eat (and drink). Oh. as all of the natives told me: Hold onto your purse, and cameras and watches.

Łącznie z oświetleniem i wystrojem wnętrz. Ten budynek to piękny sen wariata. Zresztą park Guell i Sagrada Familia też.

Zgadzam się z Tobą,też mogłabym tam zamieszkać,a na spacery chodzić do ogrodu Gaudiego.Barcelona jest urocza:-):-):-)

The Casa Mila complements the elegant buildings in its proximity, giving the impression that it was once as they were -- before it began its metamorphosis into an organism. A hallucination of itself, the building rebels against traditional architecture, yet Gaudi does not attempt to destroy the past. He does not fear the beautiful nor the detail that is loved in traditional buildings. It is all here, inviting human beings to explore, linger, and live in it.

A traditionalist view as to what "should be" is the enemy of creativity. Who could not appreciate Gaudis style? Casa Mila is gorgeous to me

REMARKABLE; Gaudi faced the SAME issues we face today as Architects; financial pressure, getting light into the centre of buildings, structure, facades, light & air, services. NOTHING HAS CHANGED

There are mordern apartments being built all over my city that look like an imitation of this. I think what's groundbreaking about Guadi isn't just that he expressed beauty. He also predicted the future.

In today’s world, all big buildings have a committee, usually the Board of Directors with an appointed head of the project. The board is reduced to a steering committee. During design presentations, there is also a cost estimate submitted. The committee goes right to the bottom line , TOTAL COST. In almost every case the bottom line never changes.Not too many boards will approve a project that is over budget and takes too long to build. AND there have been many lawsuits for projects that are over budget and cannot be finished in the required approved budget. Look at Raphael Vinolay and the Kimmel Center, Gehry and the Dormitory he did at Cambridge.

It's so strange that such a ultraconservative, and celibate architect made such sensual, flowing, and just straight up breath taking work. ;- ;

11:46 Wealth not from the colonies? the Catalan bourgeoisie at the beginning of the century was not a bourgeoisie with properties in the colonies, (colonies that had ceased to be Spanish colonies more than half a century ago at that point) but because of the new industries that were installed in Catalonia and the Basque Country...

Wer Gaudi gesehen hat ist für alle Zeiten von der Idee des Jugendstils infiziert. Er ist für mich der größte Architekt aller Zeiten.

When you see it in person it is beautiful. Almost a living thing. It gives off an organic sense of warmth and beauty. So different then the dead linear buildings being constructed in our major cities.

Jesus christ will you all shut up? This discordant, disharmonious gaudy use of space and visual influences appears to be an attempt at crossing Aladdin's Cave, Hogwart's Train Station and the Krak de Chevalier. It's an affront to aesthetics aight yo dawgs?

I don't agree with Gaudi's architecture myself, but one cannot detract from his ingenuity. He dreamed up these forms long before deconstructivism was a thing. He worked out all details and load calculations on his own. He deserves some recognition for that, I think.
