Thank you. The *most valuable content* and *most organized* video I've found on Midjourney. One of the first videos that doesn't waste the viewer's time with information that experienced users already know. *Subscribed.*
@@MakingPhoto - That's absolutely clear, the videos are valuable for all levels. My point is simply that many authors providing "tips" on generative tools -- fail to provide any valuable tips that someone wouldn't recognize on their own. In additional to being exceptionally well-organized, your videos are respectful of the viewer's time which is not common in many other videos on this subject matter. Thanks again!
You are a wealth of info. Every time i check out your vids, i learn a whole lot that really helps my workflow. More than any other content creator in the AI image generation area. Im not a noob,I’ve made over 25,000 images so far and daily get my images chosen for MJ’s gallery ( not a measure of my image mojo, often my least fav’s get the love, my best get ignored lol). The point is as much as one thinks they might know about MJ, it’s not intuitive. Thanks for making my path easier.
Your videos are incredibly clear and informative. I've been playing around with Leonardo but I think I'm going to commit to Midjourney based off of the information you provided. I wish the gallery was sharable externally! It's such a powerful feature and showcase of your designs its a great business asset. However its very restrictive being only available to Midjourney subs. Even a private link made available to a collection would be sooo useful. It would save the need for external websites for your works.
There is a way to share. Go to Visitor's view (button in the header) and the link will change in the address bar. You can share this BUT it's only viewable to other MJ users. MJ is making a lot of changes to their website, so it may look/act a bit different.
Midjourney is working on their website design, so things are changing almost daily. This is a good start video! I'll put a new one out when the website changes stabilize.
Thanks for this! I've been meaning to sit down and make collections, but I haven't yet. I didn't know about ALL this stuff though. I never realized the value to ranking my own images. I'll start doing that from now on.
I've always loved the simplicity, yet informative styles of your video. Regarding your video workflow, is it all done in Canva? (I think that's where you mentioned it one time before.) Thanks for you work.
Thanks, Marcus! I do the basic work in Canva. But I make video assets in all sorts of programs. I use InShot, daVinci Resolve, RunwayML, and even PowerPoint sometimes!
Thank you for your video. It was very informative and useful. I have a question: I was unable to create a collection. When I tried to do so, I received the message "Currently, images added manually to collections may not show up in the collection for upwards of 2 minutes.” Any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks.
I get this message all the time right now. The MJ team is working on the website and collections are a little unstable. Usually the images show up in the collections. Though I've had to add images again.
Thank you for this video. It's very helpful!! However I alway had a problem when I created my very first collection. It always shows that "Currently, images added manually to collections may not show up in the collection for upwards of 2 minutes." Have I done something wrong?
Thanks! You're not doing anything wrong. The Midjourney team is working on the website and this is just a hiccup. We all hope the website stabilizes soon!
A.I. these days he is really amazing... I also started ChatGPT and Midjorney myself and as of December 2022 I already have more than 50 subscribers, also thanks to your recommendations and videos. Thank you... I like your new video again...
Hi, thanks for the tutorial Something is not clear to me I don't see the view all collections option at all It does not appear on the site at all I would appreciate an explanation of how to find this option
Midjourney is currently testing a new version of the website. It looks like the current website (which will soon be the old website) is missing some features. Unfortunately, the new website doesn't have collections. You can try out the new website at beta.midjourney.com/imagine
I also like to organise my discord channels, I have a bunch of categories and channels on my Discord server. I’m sure the Midjourney storage policy will change at some point, these PNG images are relatively large and their is really no incentive to clean them up yourself.
Thanks - great video! Well done! I have one question for the group. Does the Collection Feature (at 2:19 in the video) work for any of you? I have been struggling to figure out how to make this work for months, but no luck so far. I never get the option to create a collection. It lets me download, but not create collections.
The Midjourney team is working on a new website. They're taking a while. In the meantime, some of the features on the current website are being squirrely - like Collections. As soon as the new website drops, I'll do a video.
Does anyone know what workspaces are within Collections and how we're supposed to use it? You can find workspaces by clicking the three dots and selecting Edit Collection. At the very bottom, you'll see a section that says Workspaces
I'm getting the note, too and sometimes have to create or add to collections a couple of times. Let's how the MIdjourney team cracks the website problems.
I cannot find my images anywhere, literlaly looked everywhere. WHen I open it, I do not get a home option. Going crazy as I need them for my book covers.
The MJ team has been working on the website over the last couple of days. My website is working. Try checking again. Also, check your inbox in Discord (upper righthand corner)
good, for user id address however, its easier to just go to your home page, or anyone else and just copy the web address and also include /archive to go straight to their archive
Yes! But how do you get to their home page without the visitor url? You can easily do this for people listed on the Community Feed. But not everyone gets this opportunity.
Hi, you are so right actually. You do have to view as visitor to see it in your own link. I never get my own so I hadn’t noticed the difference. Tried last night and realized I had to fix my comment. I always just copy a person’s user Id directly from discord and then just click my home link in the midjourney app which is always open in another window, and type /users/(paste num), as I said I then add “/archive” often as well. Actually, after you type it in yourself once, in the future all you have to do is type the first “u” and it auto completes and I just paste in the num. We should definitely have a link in discord that goes directly to their profile…
@@MakingPhoto I just right click (contextual click) their profile name and choose copy id. also in their profile itself there is a copy id in the menu (you get to their profile by clicking their username in a message and then clicking their little avatar pic) obviously if you just go to the menu of any message and "copy id" this is a different id and doesn't work. I think this is why there is so much confusion. it's amazing how many people don't seem to know how to visit someone's archive and see everything they have done that's not private... I see tons asking for the prompts of something and its already there for the taking.
The website has been squirrely. The Midjourney team is working on it, but not very fast. I sometimes have to make a collection a couple of times before it sticks. And it won't necessarily make the collection right away. I sometimes have to refresh the page.
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm looking into create collections, but I don not have that options visible ? I can't find anything related to create a collection, I just can see my entire creations and sort it, but nothing to organise it ?
Midjourney has been working on their website. I'm waiting for it to stablize to do another video. The collections feature is hidden. Go to to the top and click the select arrow. Now select some images you want to put in a collection. At the bottom, click Open Downloader, and you should have Add to Collection option. Click that. In the dialog box, click +New Collection.
@@MakingPhoto I followed your steps, but when click Add to Collection, I click the ones to add, and instead of +sign to create a new collection, I got a message telling me that images selected manually will be added to the collection after 2 minutes, but I have not created a collection so, I do know what it will do... Thanks
@@amayagergoffbengoa3600 Yeah - we're all getting this message. I find Collections is a bit squirrley. Usually if you wait a bit the images will show up. There is a lag, so I sometimes put images in and take them out without realizing I've done it. The website is definitely the weak spot with MJ.
Same here. 2 months later. I am unable to create any collections, they must have disabled it for now. Hopefully its in the works.@@amayagergoffbengoa3600
Thank you for the video, I just started using Midjourny but unfortunately don't have a Collections Tab. Am I missing something or was this feature removed?
There have been some changes on the MJ website recently. I have a "View All Collections" option near the top of the gallery. Do you have a subscription? If not, the gallery might look different. Some features only appear once you have a subscription.
@@MakingPhoto I do not. When I click on an image to add to collection it says "Currently, images added manually to collections may not show up in the collection for upwards of 2 minutes." and nothing ever happens. I've tried multiple times.
Does the full potential of your gallery include such a simple basic thing as the ability to delete an image from your gallery? It seems not. So I don't really think I am interested in its potential until they add the most basic functionality.
You're welcome! Yes, people can see your images on MJ unless you create in stealth mode. But if you set up your own server (I have a video about that), then there's less of a chance people will see your images. MJ has a culture of openness in general.
I’m sorry if you’ve already answered this, but does anybody know how the personal gallery “hot” and “top all” are aggregated? I’ve also found it impossible to find anywhere online or someone explains how a user can find out if their images have been used in the public showcase gallery? Do you get notified? Thanks anyone who could help.
The website is a work in progress. It has been for a while - which is a little frustrating. I've never found a way to see if my images are in the showcase. My Top All shows my top rated images all time - this includes some of my earliest v3 generations. Because the ranking system is also changing, I'm not sure how this affects the top images. Sorry- all I have is vagueness for you!
@@MakingPhoto Thank you so much for responding! Do you have any idea what might be the difference between "Hot" and "New"? I thought it meant it was my most recently liked images, however I notice that my brand new generations almost always immediately appear on this tab. So sad Midjourney hasn't invested even a few minutes to explain what each gallery tab represents exactly.
@@viktorpetroski You can make another account. But if you want to make more than 25 images, you'll have to subscribe to a plan. The basic plan gives you 200 images per month. The next level plan gives you unlimited images per month.
