Ahh my baby girl. I miss the arc thrower… 500, OPS, arc, jump used to be my main build for bugs. Everyone said it was garbage because it took like 7 shots to kill a charger but it wasn’t that bad. Especially with stuns. Killing a charger moderately slower was a small price to pay in my eyes in exchange for killing literally anything else in a second or 2 which allowed me to save two stratagem slots for titan killers. It was beautiful and it was powerful… then the behemoth came out and killed it and afterwards the escalation of freedom update came and peed all over its grave… 😔

If you plan to use the arc thrower now, you need strats to deal with the heavies.. its still usable

@@Boyahente1 that was my build… problem is nothing deals with chargers consistently when there’s more than 1-2. Other than rockets. You can use railcannon or OPS but then you’re wasting that on behemoths and spore chargers when it should be saved for BTs and impalers

7 shots to kill a Charger is a bargain. The Arc thrower never needs to reload or resupply. Those 7 seconds are done quickly.

@@Creshex8 exactly. But apparently this was a deal breaker for most. Never understood why as it had all those other things going for it. When the behemoth released, it was more of a gamble but still somewhat possible. Now with diff 10 relying on many chargers to be a good chunk of the enemies as well as most of them being behemoths (and the ones that aren’t obscure your vision which is not good because it’s only 7 shots if every single one is a headshot) AND the addition of the impaler (which pretty much gave the bugs massive ranged combat potential and now makes it difficult to hunker down and arc a swarm like before), you’re better off just using the blitzer as a replacement for chaff clear and taking AC or commando to be able to quickly deal with chargers, behemoths, impalers and sometimes BTs

@@ci825 I think the perks of the Arc Thrower being able to damage every enemy in the game ends up creating unreasonable demands upon the weapon. No other support weapon in the game is expected to be good against absolutely every enemy in the game, like the Arc Thrower is now expected to be. The weapon doesn’t need a supply pack, so we have a backpack slot free to help us fill in the gaps. Carry a jet pack or a portable shield to help with survivability. Grab an additional stratagem to aid with heavier enemies, like OPS, rocket pods, 500kg, autocannon turrets, etc. And carry an explosive primary to help with chargers and impalers. The robustness of the Arc Thrower really gives us a lot of options. And let the myth of the arc thrower being weak perpetuate, for all I care. They’ll just end up buffing a weapon that doesn’t need it.

Jump pack is amazing, definitely agree it needs a lower cooldown. Or just maybe, a higher jump.

It needs to be like in a 1st game, with a fuel tank. Once you empty it, it doesn't work, but you can jump after jump multiple times without cooldown

Good to see a jump pack loadout. I love the JP but it definitely needs a lower cooldown and thanks for the gifted membership. 😮

I love the idea behind this build and it looks _fun_ in low-pressure situations but to make it funny enough to consider it requires some high ground or slopes to gain real mobility advantage from the jump pack and the range from the arc thrower. When you are in a high-pressure situation where there is more than one tank around and chaff everywhere, frustration would overcome over fun (at least for my play style). if the jump pack provided a more effective mobility gain (imagine being able to aim the jump and use the jetpack as a dash tool) then you could quickly take some angle and possibly get a ton of value out of this combo.

In the current state of the game, I think the shield is more useful than the jump pack in an arc thrower loadout. Positioning, moving around and creating space is easy enough without it, especially with light medic armor and the stim booster. What gets you is the suprise hunters and chargers, and the impaler tentacles with a range that could probably reach you from a mission on another planet. The shield buys you enough time to stim and/or throw a stun grenade and run away, and lets you dodge tentacles all day long. The jump pack is infinitely more fun, though. But let's be honest, who plays games for the fun of it? ;)

Lower cooldown as buff. And higher jump and the possibilty to store a second jump with increased cooldown as upgrades would be amazing ❤

FYI: you dont need to wait for the arc thrower to charge fully to shoot, so you can actually shoot in a way faster rate even tho it was nerfed

Maybe I am missing something, but I don't see the point of this loadout. Just run Blitzer and ANYTHING else. Maybe EAT or Grenade Launcher. Or if you want to have Arc Thrower, then go with Scorcher as main weapon.

@@odaizoh The Blitzer is a very different weapon than the Arc Thrower. People treat them like they are interchangeable, when they are not.

@@EfferusZangetsu I guess what I’m trying to say is that any other primary with stagger would be a better choice right? Like why would you not take the cookout or punisher or something? Conversely the blitzer is great, so if you decided to take it you could choose a support weapon that balances the load out against heavies or something

Cool loadout. I love the Arc thrower tho it seems a bit redundant with the blitzer. Is your thought to use the blitzer for close range? It is nice to never have to worry about ammo.

hey dive comrad, I play a lot of HD, less with the status - to say. Vs bugs I rock The arcthrower, EagleCluster, and impact nades, along with eagle strike and orbital, with the fog== s pam the arcthrower let it aim. I have used it since release and it was nerfed but its still sic!, lotsa mobs coming= cluster Eagle strike and orbital are for jams and biles, Next bot video ill give my setup too- 114 hellcommander alias -SUPERSEXYHOLY

Why are you also using the Blitzer, and not just only the arc thrower? I mainly use blitzer, but with grenade launcher and supply backpack. Ammo for days, stims for days. And the grenade launcher is also great for bug breaches if you manage your ammo well enough

I find the Scorcher is a better pairing with the arc thrower since it allows you to kill chargers.

it means additional enemies in MMO games usually:) and since I play MMOs all the time its something I keep saying:) its mostly used for smaller enemies that are easier to kill

As he mentioned, in MMMOs (Massively Multiplayer Online game), many Boss enemies have a phase were they call extra enemies that you need to kill, avoid or control. These are called "add" (short from additional). So these are not regular enemies, but additional enemies spawned by the boss in specific fight phases. It has later become to mean any lesser enemy or weaker mob that you kill in mass.
