@@TheFrickinShredder Are you sure about that? Insurance for this class of vehicle saves me $870 every year because it falls under motorcycle insurance rates. No gas, no oil changes, no catalytic converter or air bags to steal. The size means you barely notice it on your power bill. I can not afford a car on my pension but my FUV is paying for itself in just 10 years because it is so cheap to operate. It is the only new vehicle I ever bought.
The doors really make a huge difference, whole different look, that paint color is the best i've seen as well. Pricey at 25k but a cool toy nonetheless.
@@themick6586 You mean their top of the line vehicle? You can get the Ryker for 10k and you can actually GET IT not be put on some endless list and not know if the company goes belly up in the next 6 months.
The rapid responder comes with a light bar on top. Only a handfull of the 500 sold are responders and it involves more than just red paint. No big deal, just a fact check - the responder model does not actually look like this and they all have fenders, doors optional.
I have had mine for 15 months. I assure you the expensive plastic doors are just dead weight and an expensive security blanket, no extra safety. Car doors have steel beams in them, these do not, they just make ya hot. The base price was $18K, not 17, and now it is 20K with the trunk included as standard equipment. But over all the video is so different from 100 other Arcimoto videos. I guess the oceanside driving was part of it. I wonder if it is legal to drive this with no front fenders. I have seen no other owners remove their fenders. If you are familiar with this vehicle you know the roof is shipped with completely clear polycarbonate. This guy went with a blackout roof coating, most of us use dark limo tint with 5% light transmission, or a perforated wrap.
In some states it is illegal to modify your vehicle, other states do not require fenders when it is dry, although you will receive a ticket for driving in the rain without fender coverage.
@@olsonspeed Not just a ticket, a drenching of the driver and passenger from the lack of fenders. Not exactly a rocket scientist move, is it? I stay bone dry in a heavy downpour with my wipers on high speed. I look down at the two front tires just a few feet below my face to see a huge volume of water being splashed in all directions but the wind pressure and full fenders keeps me totally dry. The OEM fenders include flaps that extend way down near the pavement.
Interesting vehicle. I was surprised the out-the-door price was about 25-grand. I know custom paint jobs are expensive. Did the paint job of this Arcimoto account for much of the cost over 20-grand?
@@Veraconah Thanks for the info. I hope Arcimoto is a success. Given the cost and availability of new cars these days, and the high prices currently being demanded by many dealers and even manufacturers, it would be nice to see some kind of competition in the lower price ranges of transportation.
Trolls have been saying that about Arcimoto for years. Stock price is not indicative of the success during this pandemic/war economy, sales are. Steady growth every quarter. The new 2023 model is being rolled out, they do rentals and service and upgrades. They have partners like Faction in the new Vegas self driving rental/touring business. Mine is a joy to drive. Every time.
@bloop I am more aware than the nimrod investors that there is no guarantee and investment is long term, not a get rich quick scheme. Your shares were not taken away, they were changed. As always, you can't lose a single penny unless you sell too soon.
@bloop You are asking the wrong guy. I hate stocks. I hate how they have stolen the American Dream from the average worker. I just confront liars who falsely attack Arcimoto.
