⚠Updates & Notes⚠ == Monument== 1) - The average radiation level is very low, only requiring at least 2 radiation protection. However, there is more radiation at the front of the monument (towards the tunnel entrance and puzzle rooms) which require at least a full burlap clothing set or 11 radiation protection. 2) - A red keycard spawns within the left blue keycard puzzle room (One opposite the snowmobile). It spawns at the back of the building on top of a generator. == Enemies== 3) - The arctic scientists will heal themselves if damaged during a fight. Currently, they are the only scientists to do this. == Snowmobile== 4) - More accurately, the snowmobile looks like it consumes 540 fuel per hour or 9 fuel per minute. 5) - The snowmobile takes 24 hours to decay outside and currently doesn't appear to decay indoors. 6) - The snowmobile can drive at full speed in the desert/beach sand. Therefore, if you would like to take it to the desert, I would recommend driving it around the island on the beach. 7) - The snowmobile contains a skin that changes the model. This different looking snowmobile has all the same stats and control as the default snowmobile and is just cosmetic.
4:36 Is the best area to clear out the scientists, if you sit on the fence and crouch down, you can shoot scientists and bait them all over to you so you can just uncrouch and shoot
Sorry to comment this OT here but it's your latest video so I thought it would be the best to get a response. Bases on your experience would you better recommend a Vanilla/non modded server or an higher loot one? I only played the latter and seeing how quickly player gets up to gear it's quite chaotic and even small bases get raided quickly, do you find non modded server more enjoyable in that aspect? Also I think it would be interesting to cover a topic on Ocean bases, you make exceptional videos and I personally would much appreciate a guide on that. Cheers mate, keep the good work up!
Cheers and in regards to the question I personally prefer vanilla. For as long as rust has been around my mates and I have always tended to play high pop vanilla servers (around 150 - 200 players). It was really the grind and slower paced gameplay that drew us to it. However, vanilla isn't for everyone and can be too much if you have other commitments such as a full-time job, so it can always be fun to take a break and head over to modded for a different experience. Also with the ocean bases, if you're referring to building out in the ocean, that could be an interesting topic and could cover specific spots to look out for.
@@JfarrYT Thanks for sharing your experience and yes, that's what I was referring to, I was curios if you had any plans. Thank you for the allround reply
They need better loot crates since most of the stuff you can easily find running along a road. I mean it is a scientific research Arctic Station so it should have better grade loot I reckon. Not to mention the high player count there since launch which is expected I guess.
When recording I attempted to leave it in a base for a few hours and found it wasn't degrading. However, this was tested on the staging branch and it might have changed / been bugged for me.
@@mgdsends I have left my local server running for most of the day and it appears the snowmobile doesn't decay indoors. I had both a minicopter and snowmobile indoors and outdoors. The outdoors minicopter and snowmobile both started to decay (looks to take 24 hours for the snowmobile to decay outside). Also if you type into console "snowmobile.outsidedecayminutes" it returns a value of 1440 (24 hours), while typing "snowmobile.insidedecayminutes" returns nothing.
The arctic base, polar bears, and snowmobile were all released in today's monthly patch. You could read more about the patch notes here if you're interested. rust.facepunch.com/news/arctic-update
Ahhh yes, I should have mentioned that. For most of the monument the radiation level is very low, only requiring at least 2 radiation protection to avoid damage. However, there is more radiation at the front of the monument (towards the tunnel entrance and puzzle rooms) which require at least a full burlap clothing set or 11 radiation protection.
