This mobility exercise enables the military to build proficiency in Arctic Airborne operations in extreme cold-weather conditions. Arctic Pegasus 2014 is a Joint-Interagency Military training exercise held above the Arctic Circle, with a goal to enhance U.S. Army Alaska's mobility and operability in arctic conditions.
AiirSource covers military events and missions from the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

This brings back memories. I went to Northern warfare training center in fort greely Alaska. Those vehicles are called anfibious susves. They were put out first on the heavy drop. Then we jumped out with Snowshoes, and weapons. That was over 40 years ago. Time flies.

While working for the federal government, I met a soldier in uniform. We started talking and he said he was leaving for winter training. I asked where in Alaska he was going. He said he was not going to Alaska, he was going to Camp Drum in New York State.

According to the information, this was a jump to build proficiency in extreme cold weather conditions, so do we have an outside temperature when they jumped?

Dan Rodrigues 🤷🏽‍♂️ can’t be that bad, no eye pro, light gloves, no face protection... just speculation but maybe a low level summer jump?
