To all the people criticizing them, they were just normal kids from Sheffield there, under a lot of pressure to answer questions from press who expect them to think it's their duty, well it isn't, they should be given the freedom to just get on with it and make good music for us. Yeah, because asking a band '' How they feel '' about winning an award is SO PRESSURING isn't it ? What are they meant to do ? it's cause they're INDIE rock. independent. started small and on their own, they got big without the media, so they don't owe them any favours. the fans is what matters, we made them big. if they're rude to the fans, which i've never heard, then there's aproblem cause if it weren't for us there would be no them. but i've heard that overall with fans, 1 on 1, they're quite shy. it's media they hate. i love them!!!

oh now i get it. i've read that they made it big through the internet sharing and uploading their music. they really are great and if it's true what you said about them being shy towards us fans, i'd definitely want to see them but of course i don't want them to be shy around me. i hope i'd see them. thank god for the arctic monkeys!
yea, it started out with small peformaces in pubs etc, and they'd hand out demo CDs. people liked their music so much that they burnt copies for their friends, and evetually people started to share it on limewire. they realized that they'd become famous and could start charging for their music and hosting bigger events. you can tell someone has real talent when they come out of the blue. everyone who's had tvs shows etc and then sing CANT sing. BLESS 'EM!
He didn't have to act professionally. He was 20-21 and just won a Mercury Prize, it's normal that "he thinks it's all right to act like a dickhead", don't you know? I think it was funny.
Ok but im struggling to see how a band with the fastest selling debut album in the uk ever and a second platinum album and played in front of billions live at the olympics can ever be deemed as terrible even if their not your favourite band
