Thanks for posting! 😂This is how we used to sled here in Maine. Fear-for-your-life speed, praying you don’t hit a bump that ejects you from the sled, jarred bones, frozen cheeks (both sets), and wind tears in your eyes. GOOD TIMES!!!😂🎉 I wonder, do kids do this anymore?
I was staff duty from the Army at the ski lodge the winter of 82/83, station there for 4 years.... many bumps and bruises from this trail, spent a lot of time in the valley and up ship creek year round
Drive up towards artic Valley look for parking lots to your right first lot is obviously bottom of trail , stop at the second lot.. grew up in anchorage went to williwa elementary and Clark middle school.. from mt.view
Yup uce!! Where I got my scar on my bottom lip, from you clipping me from behind when I was retrieving my sled in woods😂...did a back flip for the first time and landed on my chin😵
The first minute or two of the video is a small part of the hill, keep watching to see the entire run! BTW, there is no way you could go down on your belly, it is way too fast and way too bumpy, plus I am 6'8" and 260lbs. I was on a long sled with padding on the seat, it was extremely bumpy and it just plain hurt. It was a blast but extremely icy and rough.
