Douglas E. Davis, better known as Doug E. Fresh, is an American rapper and beatboxer who helped shape the hip-hop genre. He is regarded as the first human beatboxer and is celebrated for his vocal percussion expertise as well as his innovative use of sample selection. Fresh's hit songs "The Show" and "La Di Da Di," which have become hip-hop anthems, are also widely known.
