Just beautiful! I do hope someone does a walkthrough tour (my old laptop can't handle it). Has the size of buildings etc been scaled up for Beornings...if my memory serves me correctly they were much larger/taller people? Well done everyone and thank you for the cinematic!

Hello! Not all of the Beornings were necessarily related to Beorn, most of them were probably normal northmen who rallied around him and his family. Remember the LOTR only takes place roughly 60 years after the Hobbit, so barely two generations for men. That being said there will be homesteads designated for the direct descendants of Beorn and will be scaled up a bit to fit their bear like build.

Thank you for that, I was curious enough after posting my comment to google Beornings and found an interesting discussion regarding their origin on the tolkien forums..I think I'll be reading the books yet again, lol!

Ditty Margoo Most of these just fell under the rule of Beorn. Many were just woodsmen. Beorgburh is a fairly advanced village compared to the other beorning villages. Old Ford is a good example of the more Anglo Saxon style.

more like Northumbrian... the Beornings were based off of the Anglo Saxons, largely.

ArdaCraft Well that's surprisingly small! My vanilla world (Midgard) is 90 mb compressed, and is a fraction of Arda's size.

ArdaCraft one kilobyte? Wow, most of the maps iv downloaded are 100-500 mb.

Hearthseeker I'd gathered it was sarcasm :o) , but cheers for the clearer answer, I was curious as my own world is beginning to expand and I wanted to see what sort of HD space I need to reserve!
