Not sure why people have to post bad comments. The person made and programmed the thing and just wanted to put a video of it working on here. He doesn't owe any of you anything. Yes you can turn on a faucet by hand or buy some sort of automatic valve in the store, but the principal is that it is something this person created themselves and I admire the fact that they wanted to show their accomplishment.
If you look really close and I mean REALLY close at the water valve it says orbit on it. I googled orbit water valve and I found that the item number is 62035. Peace.
The video is a demo of a custom built shield for an Arduino. It's embedded in the post on my blog which details the build in gory detail. URL with details of build, schematic, etc. are on my blog at: www.jaycollett.com/2011/05/a-new-way-to-control-water/
how this water valve work? is it with a motor or with a coil? I want to find a valve that when its open , then stay open with out continuous consumption of power
Hello, I'm currently working on an automated watering system for my backyard but I'm not sure on how to program that device, is there a way you can explain it to me via email, or a post? Please thanks so much! you're the only person I've seen do this!
