In this project, I will show you how to create a "virtual Numpad" - using Arduino Leonardo and Nextion Intelligent Enhanced Display. This is very simple project and hopefully can give you some ideas about how to use Arduino and Nextion together. When you click anything on the Nextion display, it will send a serial message to Arduino, and Arduino will then convert this into a keystroke to simulate a keyboard press. As a result, the numpad works in the very same way as the real numpad on the keyboard.

PCBWay is a service for manufacturing custom PCBs. If you click the link above, you will get a coupon for $5, which is exactly the price of 10 pieces of custom PCBs. In that case, you will only pay for shipping. Do you have any experience doing this? Please let me know in the comment section!

Do you have any questions? Suggestions for the next video? Please put those down in the comment section. I try to answer as many questions as I can. Thank you for watching, reading the video description and I hope to see you next time. Good luck with your projects!

If you like this project, here is a more in-depth video showing the usage of Nextion display to create a full keyboard - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ATPutFn6jfk.html

Hi! You did another awesome project! P.S. also you can use for this project Attiny85 (or digispark board).
@andymouse
@andymouse Год назад
Sadly no as they dont support USB like the leonardo (I think ! )

Thank you, but as andymouse mentioned, you need a board that could act as USB device, and attiny is not possible to use. That said, in the CNC video, I have used Leonardo compatible board from DFRobot that was tiny.

@@upir_upir For the ATTiny, there exists the VUSB project - USB in software. But I don't know if this supports emulating an USB keyboard as easily as the standard implementation of the Leonardo (maybe you'd have to do all that with your own code, which could make it _quite_ a bit more complicated) - or if all the necessary code fits into the 8KB of the Tiny85 in the end...

Hello friend, it is possible to make an on-board computer on this screen for the car to track the boost, engine temperature, intake, exhaust, that is, to display 4 temperature sensors on the display. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oSp_qm6s33M.html Here's how it is on the video, only on the big screen

Yes, that should be possible, and using temperature sensors with this display is on my todo list. Hopefully soon.
