"what the hell are you doing in there!" "I'm just painting with heat... um, it's for a video...., wait no come and look at this..." "oh for, every time you do this its another boring ohhhhhhhh my god thats cool..."
Painting with temperature. I wonder if anyone has done an actually good-looking painting using this method yet. Needs multiple heat distribution points at variable temperatures.
That’s interesting question. Painting with light is usually done with photography, since this approach would require for all the viewers to have infrared cameras 🙂
0.0 THIS IS MY CALLING haha dude i had NO clue this kinda shit was possible with an arduino, new to them but always been curious; 100% making a thermal cam already. def gunna try to paint too
Thank you foe the advice i have purchased a 2.4" TFT display , what would be the connections if i am using TFT 2.4 display and have soldered the AMG8833 ton the Arduino uno ?
All the source files - including infrared video recordings, are on GitHub. Feel free to use it any way you want :) github.com/upiir/arduino_infrared_camera
HOW does that infrared camera have an additional lens? When I have tried times capture infrared thru any outside lenses (like a telescope on the moon, for example, or a building down the street) my IR camera sees only the SURFACE if the telescope lens closest ! So what did they do to make the lens bend the infrared light?
According to Wikipedia, the lens is often made from solid germanium- so you just need to get this type of lens. I’m sure it will be impossible to find though..
Thank you! I agree, it looks unreal. That said, I remember when a thermal camera with half the resolution was 10x more expensive, so it’s definitely getting cheaper with time..
can you do some tutorials on how to use touchscreen with arduino, and how to store images and data in SD card beacuse when i use PROGMEM too much with oled it errors with building fail with full storage.
Which touchscreen do you have in mind? I do plan a video with SD card, but a better solution might be simply using a different Arduino board. The new Uno R4 has 256kB of flash memory, that’s eight times more than Uno R3.
@@upir_upir LCD touchscreen, and also called TFT, I already have arduino uno r4 and I am using it but because I have a project filled with smoothness, i need to use an sd card but I don't know how to use it with arduino and oled display, and I want to move this project from untouchable screen to a touchscreen to use less buttons and thanks.
Hi , can i use this for wider area application . ie at a place near garbage box to detect if a person throws garbage outside the bin or not . the area of the frame is 10 m * 10 m and secondly is the sensor 180 degree oriented ?
You can probably do that, but a standard infrared camera (not thermal) with some infrared lights will probably be 10x cheaper with a 10x bigger resolution.
@@upir_upir will the object/garbage be detected within 3-5 mtr from the infrared camera . If yes, can you tell me the model (product link is prefered ) and will i get a 180 degree view from the camera too ?
@@upir_upir another thing to ask sir, is there a sensor that can detect water in the floor? I am planning a robot that can detect water on the floor and it mops the wet area, sorry for the wrong grammer hehe. Thank you in advance for the reply sir
It’s not mentioned in the video. The common usage might be detecting a human, and in that case, max. Reasonable distance is 7m / 23 feet, as at point, a human would take one pixel. Other than that, I think there is no restriction.
This video is an ad for InfiIR... Very misleading, I don't like it. Where is the part where you show us how to get a property image from the sensor? You mention that but then proceed with your ad.
This is indeed misleading. Because this is not a "thermal camera". This is only "displaying temperature on a led matrix" and not camera. If you read the title and see the thumbnail picture, you expect that. But the video content is pretty bold! You get a dislike.
What is the difference between "thermal camera" and "displaying temperature on a led matrix"? Isn´t the LCD just a bunch of small pixels? Anyway, hope you find my other videos less misleading.
@@upir_upirWhat the different is? LCD is made of liquid crystal, color filters, polerazer so on.. if you don't know the difference between LCD and a LED I have no words. I don't blame anyone of not knowing something. But rely on clickbait to gain some clicks and likes is really bold. Create some honest content.
If you can measure 64 temperature values with just your finger, it´s understandable that the amg8833 sensor would most likely not be interesting to you. That said, thank you for your time being here and I hope to see you in the future.
