So when squimpus first made the foxy vhs tape it wasn't as clear but when battington made his version of the same tape he made it clear that fredbear was actually being hung in the parts and service room by a noose

Still doesn’t hit as different as Foxy’s “sailor minutes” and threatening us with *a raise* (Same for Chica’s little monologue, I think it went by faster than Squimpus’s)

Battington has so far, been the main VHS Horror maker that has gotten me to tremble in fear while staying so intrigued

The idea that the reason Chica’s sensors need to be repaired is because the child screamed so loud that it blew them out is just harrowing.

Was watching someone react to the pirate cove preshow, and the dude wasn't expecting Chica to go down when she did so he was doin the "la la la laaaa" but ofc it goes purple and chica screams and the dude's shriek mid-singing was peak comedy

god, there’s something so alluring but unsettling about the “vintage” models, and bat’s animation + sound design skills are phenomenal. i also just love the resemblance to the rockafire animatronics. i think a lot of people nowadays find them unsettling but i love that niche little genre of visuals that the showbiz pizza characters and old rubber-face Rushton dolls / stuffed animals fit into. i personally just find them super visually appealing and i love seeing that aesthetic used more :] i loved the squimpus tapes and they’ll always hold a special place in my heart, but battington’s just hit so different for me. i love them both

I must say that Battington has definitely gotten a glow up in his animation skills since 2019. His FNAF VHS series is really good, but Squimpus' version will ALWAYS be the better one imo.

I am so glad these are being talked about. These are severely underrated and I just can’t get over how realistic each tape is

So I came across these vids one night where I was already heavily sleep-deprived... it was uhh... very striking, to say the least.

omg looks SO spectacular. This visual take on it, I can see how the characters might have been not scary at some point; before we've seen them, before they degraded and were worn down with use.

I was expecting something infinitely more disturbing in that intro, especially considering the content of this video. Also, there’s a Jumpscare at 2:00, be careful. Again.

I love both versions, but my favorite has to be Battingtons tapes. For me, I think its just the models of the animitronics. I LOVE Battingtons takes on the animitronics.

I feel like the first one stripped away what made Squimpus’s scary. Like, it was set tension with the music and the text-to-speech, that tension doesn’t get a chance to properly grow with Freddy’s face glowing smack dab in the middle of the video

These tapes made fnaf even more horrifying than before.

battington is a horror genius. harmony and horror is one of the first horror series that genuinely left a lasting impact of dread on me

Squimpus Mcgrimpus's original tapes where cool and scary, for me Battingtons tapes have been some of the most disturbing videos I've watched

The new designs really do fit right at home in an actual FNAF movie.

I think chica has the most terrifying design

6:07 Fallout new Vegas dialogue be like

I'm gonna be honest, I was kind of worried that Battington was REMAKING the Squimpus tapes. I thought those tapes were perfect as is and that they didn't need a remake. But after watching what Battington has done, putting clever twists on the original and making them much scarier. This is one of those remakes that I think is better than the originals.

I still think squimpus mcgrimpus's tapes are better but the vintage models are better. Squimp's are just more snappier and unnerving. The new ones are good but the timing on the old doesn't let you prossess while the new ones somewhat drags. The old also builds tension in a way that leaves you unnerved but the new one releases that tension for scares. The tension in the old Chika one is just off and the out of pocket speech that replaced the Jumpscare of the video while a face appears behind while talking about a dead bird comparing how she was dead to the bird in the snow not being able to breath but the face falling off didn't resonate the way the first one did and having the eye scare before the speech released the tension built up through expectation. The new one feels it peaks at the stall. But in a bubble the new tapes are amazing. The effects are still great the animation is still great but I still think the first is better for now. But I can't wait to see where the new tapes go
