The saying of "Graveyard are filled with people who had right of way." should be told to every biker. No matter who has right of way, meat vs metal, meat sure lose.
Once again you have done a great service to young riders, new riders, and all other riders. Learning from someone else's mistakes could very well save a life or two. Thanks guys.👍
After a lot of courage I finally watched my first such video . I must say you guys are doing a wonderful job by analyzing these and bringing public awareness. I am a Driver myself and I personally feel that no one should get hurt because of me and watching these videos teaches what all can go wrong. Thank You and I hope you keep this going.
honestly you mentioned, for the first accident, the biker have right of way, but the car already moved out. meaning, the car(dashcam car) gave up his right of way to let the black car pass. im a rider also, and i lane split too. my opinion on this matter is that, if you lane split, u have no right of way. even if you are in a situation whereby u might seem like you have right of way but you are lane splitting. how is the black car suppose to know the bike is coming so fast, especially when the dashcam car already gave way. i will never ever pretend i have a right of way when im lane splitting, period.
Thanks for the videos. Reminds bikers that we are not invincible on the road. Able to come up content on different scenarios on what should we do in an accident? TIA
The thing is most of the drivers and riders do not practice lane discipline when turning. Example, the three turning lanes from Halus bridge towards KPE. The cars from the outer most lane loves to keep close and cut into the middle lane while cars from the inner most lane love to do wide turning and cut into the middle lane... For me, when I am in the outer most lane, I prefer to do a wider turn to keep clear from all these drivers and riders who do not practice lane discipline. Also, it is quite common to see bikes lane splitting when turning... To me, that is a big no-no. never trust other road users on the road... Must be tiring and stressful to see all these accidents videos but you all are doing an excellent job in warning riders about the dangers on the road. Keep it up guys.
lane splitting can be done safely & responsibly :) the issue are bikes go too fast and too close to one another that gets a bad rep. also, gearing up all the time def helps. i think most people take safety for granted on a bike. "the accident will never happen to me" or "i ride very safely" quality gear goes a long way 🏍️ and yes, put one's ego away !
As a biker, lane split is great but gotta practice some road IQ. I don’t think it’s safe for bikers to split when cars are directly parallel to each other especially at high speed. Bikers tend to underestimate the blind spots of cars.
1 important thing, if land on the floor try to roll to safety and not stand up, if car drives away, it is hit and run case. Whoever bang who, by law need to stop and help the injured.
I really don't understand how they drivers riders can don't know which lane turn into which lane, also it's true you said humanity very important. A little patience goes a long way
Those drivers/riders are without road commonsense or knowledge.. The most important is no life lost.. Lastly thanks to 333 for the defense driving lesson knowledge..😅
I have had many instances, lanes 2 and 1 are free and I am riding in lane 3 on expressways and normal roads, not disturbing anyone and no left filter lane in sight. vans and lorries will some how come up close to my back and tail gate. I had to resort to tapping my brakes but they will eventually overtake but can see they are not happy to do so. How then to ride even safer, despite me riding at the required speed stated on the roads mentioned. Am I expected to speed up because they want to on the 3rd lane? How do we educate drivers to take care of the smallest denominator on the roads?
happened a lot of times to me too. But i have a big ass triangle at the front and back of my bike. Not sure if its because of that people bully me. There was once i was pushed out of my lane by a malaysian prime mover with a huge ass trailer. I damn nearly died that day
But honestly, due to safety, most cars now have really big 'A' pillar added to it many people put their phone beside it for GPS. So what was already hard to see becomes harder.
Mark see until damn stress liao sia. the one lorry went over the supposedly rider body or head one... damn crazy bro. hope can make it, for that situation i think is skid either from locking up the wheels(it's a GTS, no ABS, even have also bo bao save you) OR the tire worn out to empahsize on this, all riders out that riding scooters, my personal advice of riding a lot of scooters is the FIRST thing you gotta do to a scooter after you buy it(maybe after getting a phone so you won't holan) is go change the tires to either angel scooter 2 or city grip 2, easily the best budget urban tires on the market. Cmon lah scooter tires are half the price of motorcycle tires dun tell me you no money to pay $200 - 300 for a pair of good tires, you atome 3 month also can. Tires are very impt, scooters have the advantage of getting value for performance tires, just buy only, can save your life. Sorry for the rant i have bad experiences with lousy stock scooter tires i hope to see more but maybe you guys should recover your mental before carrying on more.
i am 60 years old. my baby 18 years old son is taking his first lesson. everytime i see your videos about this advise, i would share with him. really worry man
4th video accident at junction - rider also need to estimate car turning radius and allow abit more if its lorry or bus. Dont eat in their turning area cannot win in that fight. In this video, if you need to be out abit (beyond white line) to check traffic, just stick to the middle of the road. Speaking from defensive riding mindset. Am not saying driver faultless. Driver's obviously blind.
In the yellow box, if all cars stopped the biker should slow down before going into the yellow box, and the car that on the right should inch out slowly, not just go like that.
Noooo noo to avoid banging by other just increase safety gap la don't lane split. If some idiot is tailgating then just let him or her pass. Still avoid lane splitting please. Cons are far more than the pro's.
No I know what happened bro this road has no divider and the car was looking to the oncoming traffic and did not see that the biker has already crossed the stop line. He or she just got a opportunity to yield and quickly turned in unfortunately there was the biker. This one is definitely the bikers fault the right of way was to the car.
Technically it's not the bikers right of way because he was lane splitting. In the eyes of law that yellow box was kept for exactly this reason that it doesn't blocked the other side. Now if they are lane splitting then the lane will always have space thus by eventually blocking the oncoming traffic. You might as well remove the yellow box and let all cars block it.
