I will never get rid of my beginner guitar. I actually bedazzled it and now it sits on my guitar stand looking pretty. I upgraded to a Taylor gs mini in January and it’s my everything. The tone and lightness of the guitar is *chefs kiss*.. I really want to try an electric guitar, eventually get to a banjo, a uke, and a mandolin
Everything is the same except 2 and 3, to me. 2. I somehow heard “don’t walk away” by Miley Cyrus from Hannah Montana the movie 😂 don’t think it’s correct but just listen to the song, it sounds so similar (to my mind) 3. Cornelia street in its original key with chords that Taylor played at the city of Lover Concert in Paris
@@dc.moonlight3714 actually there are many Taylor songs which have similar chords and strumming so I thought 3 was Cornelia street too but in one moment I felt like it was Blank space 😂
This is making me wish I had held on to my beginner guitar 💗 🥺 Sadly, I moved and did not bring it along with me. I do love the “babies” I play now. I got a Taylor when I took up guitar for the second time (after several years of not playing). And my newest “baby” is the twin to your fender (BTW, thank you for helping me decide to get it - it’s love!) 🎸 So fun!
I also use guitar tuna - its great! I have a Yamaha FS700S. Its small (folk size) but I absolutely love it - its my first guitar (I've been playing about 6 years) and I don't plan to get rid of it. It feels weird playing a bigger guitar! ;)
I’m a mom so I know fellow parents who don’t want to buy their kids expensive gear out of fear they won’t follow through with it. However, I think that when you purchase something that isn’t great quality, it’s not very easy to play. A beginner may feel disheartened, like they’re not playing well or they’re not progressing. The action is probably too high, the strings aren’t great, etc etc. and I think this would more likely lead to quitting. Definitely find something reasonable, but something you WANT to pick up and play. ❤️
I bought a Yamaha F335 off of FB marketplace to learn on - have zero experience so really don't know where it falls on the beginner guitar chain, but I love it :)
I know this has nothing to do with the video, but you also wear your watch on your right as well! I do and my dad tells me that most people wear their watch on their left instead of their right and I would always see people wear it on their left and I thought he was right. Then I noticed that you had your watch on your right and I was surprised 😁. Nice btw!
Agree that cheap guitars can work for awhile, but you get what you pay for...I just upgraded to a Taylor GS mini and it makes playing so much more enjoyable bc it sounds way better! I think I was inspired by always seeing your Taylor and now I want another one hahaha
Nena, any Guitart first bought should be set up ... New Strings, neck adjustment, fret needs to be filed down so the frets surface is even to prevent buzz. That guitar is good for beginners to learn basic cords to tuffin there soft finger pads... from there they can up grade later... Love you Vlogs, lessons. Also your very bright, I enjoy watching you, you make me smile. Keep on teaching your one of the best of the best in you tube channel.😉 P.S. I have a 1995 Taylor 815ce ... very rare bought it brand new 😁
so i bought a non branded guitar but the strings are too high and the truss rod doesn't turn. I dont really know what to do about it. Anyone have recommendations?
If the strings are too high, it is in the high action. it's not really good to play like that , it needs to be set up into low action . And your truss rod doesn't really turn using Allen wrench? I suggest, don't repait it on your own. Bring your guitar to a luthier, someone who knows much about fixing and repairing guitars. Let them set your guitar cause that is what I do on my guitar. Usually when you buy a new guitar, it is not already set up so you need to have someone to set it up for you. :)
Try to search using FB , I'm sure there is one. Search about guitar repair. Cause I know there's someone professional who can help you about your problem.
That’s cheap?! I Saw one on Amazon for like 50-60 dollars and I was thinking of buying it because my mom said I already have a violin so I wanted to get something really cheap I’m thinking of not buying it anymore 😢
I bought a guitar from an online store too and my fingers still hurts even after a few months had past since the strings are so hard to press. Maybe nylon strings are better?
yess, actually its recomended to use nylon strings for beginers bc its easier to press the strings. But imo id stick with the steel strings. just take your time and eventually your fingers are gonna be full with calluses so it will stop the pain :) (also if you are a begginer its a little hard to change the strings)
Maybe it’s because the gap between the strings and the fretboard is big. There are some guitars which have strings are really far from the fretboard, which means you have to press harder. I used to use my brother’s guitar to practice and the hurt lasted for so long. But when I bought my own guitar, which has a small gap between the strings and the fretboard, I could play so much easier and it didn’t even hurt. And I don’t really like nylon strings because it sounds somehow different from the steel ones, and you have to press harder to make sound, which steel strings don’t require. But you can go to the store and check it out.
Told my friends Its 90% of a Fender for 50% of the price. Adjust the neck out of the box and change them strings first. It's a completely different guitar. Wood at gig with it no but for cranking out ideas during some downtime why not
Id recommend fender tune also I'd swap out the tuning pegs to locking one as the strings are probably slipping a bit or re string it and lock the string in the first thew turns also you may need to level the neck
Really wishing I kept my beginner guitar. Mostly because Id like to have the beginner one in standard tuning, while my current guitar is in alternate tunings. So now im just doing a ton of research for a cheaper second guitar
You have a lot of guitars can you do give away😭? I really want to play taylor songs with better guitar. I have here but I hate the sound like it's very different to other guitar.
