A story has been making its way around Facebook about a young boy who claims to be murdered in a previous life! Even more creepy, he was able to identify the murderer and the location of the skeleton. Laci explains reincarnation, and how there might be a more scientific reason this is happening.

Just as another way to think about this story: how would a dead person know where they were buried...?

***** Then the theory that this is information that is 'planted' by another person is false, unless that person was the murderer, which doesn't appear to be the case here. (I was joking in my reply to the original comment, btw.) I read the story when it appeared and I concluded, having read up a little on the psychologist involved, that I'd need a good deal more info before taking it seiously and that, even then, I'm probably not qualified to have a firm opinion.

There are countless cases of reincarnation. All of them cant be false or just a coincidence I am sure. Remember nothing happens by chance. Its absurd to say that the universe, life forms and everything happens by chance.

This was really biased and didn't really address much of how many of the stories claimed by this kids are researched and then there are a lot of creepy coincidences that just can't be explained. And there are TONS of stories about kids who remember being random people! There's a whole documentary by Extraordinary People about this kid who is very adamant that he lived another life on the other side of Scotland. Just a regular life in a small village with nothing special to say about it. They ended up finding a house that fit his description almost perfectly. There have been several other reports in India about children with memories of people random people as well that I've heard of. I'm not saying I believe in reincarnation, I was brought up Christian but I don't really consider myself religious or Athiest. It's just to hard to be sure of what happenens when we die. But this video was either dishonest or else very poorly researched. If I didn't know any better, it would almost seem like propaganda ...
@StarsEternity

@fedfoofy
@fedfoofy 10 лет назад
So you think reincarnation is the best explanation of all these kids who claim to have lived previous lives? If you ask me, it's the *last* thing that I would use as an explanation. There are so many other ways to explain these cases than memories of dead people somehow being transported into children.
@fkgabbana
@fkgabbana 10 лет назад
fedfoofy I sure don't! I just find it a bit dumb that this video either missed or consciously ignored a lot of information to give Laci's opinion on the subject. Very un-scientific if you ask me!
@fkgabbana
@fkgabbana 10 лет назад
***** It was a very small village actually. And a family that lived there around the time that was guessed based on his descriptions even had the same number of children, one of which was a son the appropriate age and had passed away in adulthood. It could have been a completely bullshit story but Extraordinary People isn't typically a documentary show about strange things like that! They usually do medical "miracles" or interesting disorders.
@PeytonHelmProductions
@PeytonHelmProductions 10 лет назад
There's literally no reason to argue over religion. I'm a Christian, and if you think that's dumb, that's fine with me. And if you're an Atheist, well that's just fine with me too. I would never call somebody dumb, stupid, retarded, or anything like that because they believe in something I don't. Be nice to people. Why would you tear someone down when you can lift them up? Don't be so quick to hate. Just thought I would say that because of all the arguing going on in the comments.
@PirateDion
@PirateDion 10 лет назад
Calling something dumb isn't hating. How is a religious belief any different than really really really wanting something that's not demonstrably true... to be true. You would probably find it quite foolish if I really really really really believed my pet cat is off chasing mice in kitty heaven. And yet it's not silly when religious folks do much in the same with no evidence backing their claims/assertions/beliefs? Further if I was devotedly religious to the extent I couldn't even see the problems within my own religious beliefs I would find it a kindness in and of itself that people criticized my beliefs if but only to make me think on it more. Imagine for instance you are wrong in your beliefs. How much time have you spent believing in something that is wrong? Wouldn't you rather be right? Be criticized? Question? Examine? Seek discovery? Learn truths? And yet ... the bible seems adequate to you... despite all the problems. Religious beliefs simply appease the nagging desire to have an answer to questions unanswered. If we did math questions and answered 8115x1231= "X" While we could figure out the value of X that answer itself is just a placeholder. God is a placeholder for things we don't know yet. That's all.
@PeytonHelmProductions
@PeytonHelmProductions 10 лет назад
That's a fine point. But I still don't care what 'proof' you have against it. I still am a Christian.
@PirateDion
@PirateDion 10 лет назад
***** Never claimed to have proof. Burden of proof is on the one claiming things. When you can address why it is you go from "Man this book about Jesus is interesting." to "Man this book about Jesus is interesting and is an accurate account of reality" If you can't do so then you realize why your religion will always be subject to disbelief because it has no foundation to work with. Much like any other unsubstantiated claims. Religion just thrives on them, and ignores the fact they really have nothing supporting them. It makes it on par with alien abductions, psychics, and other nonsensical claims that have nothing supporting them. Not worth believing unless you have an emotional investment wanting it to be real, whether fear of hell, fear of death, or sadness of losing a loved one and wanting desperately to see them again, so much so you believe you will.

PirateDion I guess luck just doesn't cut it for me. In my experience things don't "just happen". I'm not saying that everything that occurs on this earth is a God mandated thing, but i do not believe that sub-atomic particles didn't just randomly converge and create life as we know it. I'm to logical of a person to go along with randomness. But i tend to respect others beliefs even if i don't agree.
@PirateDion
@PirateDion 10 лет назад
Olexa Nickolsky And when you can shake the desire for us, and life as we know it being somehow special, unique, or guided then you will be where I am. The notion that seemingly we were guided to be as we are opens up so many problems that I don't even know where to begin with it. It's a presumption, an argument from incredulity. By this logic if we find life on other planets we must then presume that this same entity/force wanted these random planets to have life as well... and so on and so forth... But then you would have to ask, why are we presuming there was a force/presence in the first place? If multiverses are a thing then our universe is just one possible formation out of infinite possibilities. It only seems impossibly rare because to us we're the lottery winner that beat the odds. When you look into probabilities you'd have to come to the fact that any probability no matter how astronomically high is essentially saying "It could happen this way." So why is it unfathomable that it did? And we must seemingly inject this variable that has no basis what so ever in reality thus far? Presumptions just clutter things needlessly. Bad science.

as much as I love and adore science I know that some questions cannot be answered by science. It is possible that people are reincarnated but currently we do not have the technology to be able to prove the stuff and so it comes down to whether you believe the person telling the story or not. If the person has a lot of evidence to back their claim I think it's a good idea to accept it, or at least not think that they're crazy and just totally disregard their story because its outside of the realm of what is accepted.

I sometimes fall into the many scenarios of reincarnation. One thought that seriously makes me sad is that when we die, we are born another human being forgetting all about the family and friends and lovers you left behind only to be back on the earth. You won't even remember them, won't recognize them so they pass you on the street. You won't be able to reunite with that lover you said you'd be with forever. But what even is forever? When you die according to some religion, you go to heaven or hell forever. But what is forever? What if earth is hell and reincarnation is just us in 'hell'... forever

My little sister was about 3 years old and my grandmother was moving house, so my mum went to help her unpack and since it was summer she had to take us with her. We chipped in a bit, putting things in cupboards and so on, then my sister picked up a small cushion from a box of stuff, held it up to my grandmother and said "I used to nurse you on this". My grandmother turned white as a sheet and revealed that the cushion had belonged to her mother, who had used it as a nursing pillow for my grandmother, who had be a tiny 4 1/2lb when born a month prematurely (good going for 1923!). I don't actually believe in reincarnation, but I have no idea how my sister knew that. Maybe she had over heard something, but it's not the sort of thing that would have just been in casual conversation. I like the idea of genetic memory, but there is no evidence for that. As far as I know that was the only bit of 'past life knowledge' she ever displayed, but my family all believe in reincarnation now because of this event.

@reversepolarity8981
@reversepolarity8981 3 года назад
I think there is some scientific basis to genetic memory... but whether its been established yet or not, I definitely do believe there is some credibility to it. I was adopted and had several experiences with it as a child, before a bad autistic burnout/regression at age six. I remembered places where my bio mother had been, things she must have said while I was in utero that make sense now that I know something of her (and things that I understood were *not* my own thoughts). I remember feeling at home in a Synagogue when I was 3 or 4, and thinking this is where I belonged, even though I was raised by a strict Catholic family. On that note, I felt creeped out/uncomfortable in the church I was forced to attend. I also remember thinking when I had the chicken pox that my adoptive mother should have run a hot water bath instead of a cold one because "like cures like". I've always had an interest in Jewish/Middle Eastern culture even though I was raised by Italians and outwardly, I look more European than they do. Long story short, in my late 20's I learned of my adoption and found out my bio mother was of German Jewish descent, my great, great grandfather was a rabbi, and my great grandfather was an "alienist" in Germany who used homeopathic methods. All of it combined has to be more than a coincidence.

most people who believe in that think that you can be reincarnated as other beings and vice versa, this can include anything from bacteria to plants. so what's with the surplus of humans? well humans have a relatively long lifespan, increasing as time goes by due to science technology. the majority of other animals have a much shorter life span than us, don't have their own tech to support them, and/or we kill them in numbers. its a backlog. we keep killing things and they can ether get reincarnated as us, something that dies fast, or we eventually kill. as well as that, if we're to assume its planet-specific. souls of dieing planets have to go somewhere, and any micro organism that managed to survive a trip here on space debre adds a soul. otherwise who knows. an then there's the gaia theory.... what bothers me the most about your comment tho is the "its not". such a definitive statement towards something that cannot yet be proven or disproven in any way.

I'm actually a false memory researcher and this isn't exactly "news" given this was something discussed by Bartlett in the 1930s and source and reality monitoring dates back to the 1980s. This ties in with the notion of "repressed" memories and the memory wars in the 1990s. Based on Occam's Razor the simplest explanation is that these "memories" aren't their own but instead based errors within the source/reality monitoring framework. And the reason I know all this is because I was Frederic Bartlett in a former life... Interesting topic nonetheless!

the reason i think these story's have some plausibility is because the person who died is the only person to have a specific type of information, if a child comes up with this idea that he was brutally murdered with an axe and he was buried in a specific location and no one else had knowledge of the body, how else could it be explained? either A: the parents/grandparents murdered and buried someone, then told the kid, or B: reincarnation.. as for kids only remembering being brutally murdered or famous, these are very unique things that stand out in memory's or dreams, if a kid dreams/remembers they are an old person and eating a sandwich on a Tuesday, that's not a very unique experience and can easily be forgotten. but seeing an attacker bludgeon you with an axe is pretty traumatic..

I have had this memory since I was little of sitting on my grandfathers knee while he tuned the radio and several other family members are also sitting around. Issue is none of those people are familiar to me and neither was I alive when you had to constantly tune a radio. My best guess for this memory is someone told me a story when I was little and I imagined it so completely that it became more of a memory than a story. I have not been able to figure out who must have told it to me. It is, on the other hand, a good example of why some people may think they are remembering a past life.

in all honesty i think child reincarnation actually happens because i've heard of a story where a little girl said since she could talk (if i remember the story correctly) said that she was an average woman, who was married and had three kids and died from an accident, she insisted on it even though her Catholic parents (i say their religion because i know Catholics do not believe in reincarnation and i know they were catholic because the story said so) and psychologists attempted to persuade her that she was wasn't Reincarnated however the little girl only got up set and insisted. so a psychologist in attempts to help went with the "play along method" to get her to stop talking about it and asked the girl about her information in the past life. the little girl gave her name in the past life maiden and married, her birthdate, her social, her address, and where she died and what happened in the accident, her husband's name, birthdate, and social, as well as the gender, names, birthdates, and social. the psychologist looked up the address and contacted the residents of the address and learned that he was talking to the widower with ALL the details matched up even to the police reports.

I got brought into an enemy base, was told to stand at a wall and just got shot, right in the same spot my birthmark is at. I remember blood and a warm feeling (I didn't piss myself) and then everything went blurry and faded out.

I had a recurring nightmare of a terrible airshow crash when I was around 5 years old. It was such a vivid dream - I remember it was a beautiful day, there was lots of American food and happy people, and we were getting tired and just about to leave. I pointed to some neat silver airplanes with flying through the sky, so we decided to stay a little longer to see what they were doing. The planes were "drawing" a heart in the sky and had colored exhaust smoke. They were almost done drawing their heart when two airplanes smashed into each other and came crashing down right in front of us. Debris went flying into the air, and I remember some hit my mom in the face. Her head twisted around in the most inhumane way and she fell down. My dad's face and arms seemed to melt. I turned to run, but my dress caught on fire and I fell down. Then I'd always wake up from the dream crying. I never "finished" the dream, so I'm not sure what happened next. Later in life, I watched the "Ramstein air show disaster" and had the freakiest déjà vu moment. I swear I was there in my dream, but I wouldn't have been born yet. I'm not sure anymore how many details were from the original dream, or how many details were "filled" after watching the disaster at a later age. When I was a kid, I was terrified of riding silver airplanes and had a fear of airshows, so I know those points were probably from the dream. I think I must have watched a remembrance news story about the disaster when I was a kid, so maybe that's where the dream came from. However, the dream was so real and disturbing. How does a 5-year-old's imagination come up with their dad's arms and face melting? Those graphic details make me wonder if there was something more to that dream... I'll probably never know. An interesting thought is that since I was conceived a few months after that terrible air crash happened, if this dream was actually a memory from a past life, then reincarnation can happen super fast! Dreams aside, it's really sad that air show disaster happened in real life. What a terrifying death all of those poor people faced. =(

I know people automatically think this kind of stuff is fake. Oh well. I'm done trying to explain that it wasn't a dream or lie. The best part was that, two years ago, I read an article where a kid told a similar story to his mom. I don't know if it goes against my religion, though. I'm Catholic and we don't believe in Reincarnation. But jeez, after reading my same story from a child whom was almost across the country was phenomenal for me.

He believed he used to be a normal kid living in this tiny island off the coast of Scotland that his parents barely knew about and he had all these details of the house, his fathers name, their dog and the view from his window and then eventually they took him to the island and the house was there and the previous owner had the same name and all the details were correct :/ Not saying its true but I don't understand how the parents could have known about that seeing as its just some normal family in a tiny isolated island.

The reason you and Laci don't know about anyone who said they were reincarnated who doesn't claim to be a famous figure is because you guys have never done research. You've looked at what facebook showed you or the writers of the show you host brought to your attention but you personally don't give a shit. There are plenty of stories of kids who don't claim to be anyone important. Theres a European kid who claimed to be from an island and just lived a normal life with his family there. No, not a tropical island either, a cold and miserable looking place. Theres also two Asian kids who claimed to be monks who died in a bus accident. Nothing special there.,............... Technically reincarnation is real and happens everywhere and to everyone. Energy is never lost so they say and only transfers. Its peoples emotions that make them want to think that they deserve the right to remember all other forms of existence they have once been a part of. We more than likely have lived many times... we more than likely are not just our own energy but in fact a mesh of many energies barrowed and shared and stirred up like a big spiritual stew. Enjoy what you can remember but don't be afraidto just let go and ride the never ending electrical life wave.

***** If these "dreams" people report after death are hardly linked to one story or another unanimously why would you follow any of the stories we have now if it ultimately seems to be a self produced delusion created by your brain when you "die" or are near death. We have Muslims having Islamic "dreams" with near deaths, Christians, Hindus, etc etc. The correlation of these folks not having one story to tell after they "died" and were revived should be quite telling that we simply have no idea what, if anything, is there after we die. And if you accept this fact, then taking one story over another is quite pointless as you're essentially blind folded while attempting to throw darts at a dart board. How good do you think human imagination is to accurately hit that bullseye? This is probably why various Hells and Devils were developed to keep people afraid, controlled and hoping they don't end up there. Being religious is quite silly in light of all this. Be theistic sure. Wishing/Hoping something exists out there, but don't follow some religion that pretends to know what's out there, if anything.

@PirateDion
@PirateDion 10 лет назад
***** Well at least you're honest with your reasons and didn't make up some silly story about Jesus coming to you and discussing the finer details of Catholicism to you. Do you believe in a hell then? Do you like such a place? If you were a god, would you not remove such a place entirely and at worst end the existence of people not going to heaven instead of needless and pointless torture? If you're looking for a good god concept, any Christian flavor of god seems questionable.
@PirateDion
@PirateDion 10 лет назад
***** Alright well as the Catholic god is exclusionary with who goes to heaven, where do those who do not go... go? Also the Catholic god/Christian god has it stated in the bible that there is a hell, admittedly for fallen angels and Satan. But as there is seemingly only 2 otherworldly places and if we're excluded from heaven for arbitrary reasons such as not worshiping Jesus then either we cease to exist, or we go to hell right? So essentially if you are following a Catholic god, you're mix and matching traits of that god making it different and thereby not necessarily eligible for "salvation" from himself if the version you're worshiping/believing in is different than the one the bible depicts. Curious as to why people don't remain agnostic and leave it at a "I believe something is out there after we die."

@dimitrimodesto7666
@dimitrimodesto7666 10 лет назад
Just because a few people try to make profit out of these stories doesn't mean that reincarnation isn't true. And the study that was presented still doesn't account for all the hundreds of thousands of people that have had reincarnation recollection, and from those that had, many whom were able to find evidence of the person they recollected in their memory and also provide full blown detail that would not been known by people other than those with close proximity to the recollected person. And the vast majority of them don't have a profit mindset when trying to find out about their past incarnation. It's kinda ridiculous to say that all people that remember past reincarnations think they were someone famous or had a tragic death in a war. The media, especially the American media only reports on those stories because they are great headlines, and at the same time they are so outrages, it kinda helps solidify the materialistic notion that reincarnation is bullshit. Just because a few scumbags want to make profit from reincarnation, and might create false stories, put their children into lying, etc., it doesn't mean that reincarnation is a scam or false. Science hasn't proven the existence of spirits and reincarnation, but at the same time they can't disprove it. Especially when you take into account all the personal experiences of the millions of people that have witnessed these things. Lastly most of the scientific research presented, especially on D News, of why people think they saw a spirit or think they have memory of a passed life, is mostly experiments conducted in bias of the topic.

It's been demonstrated that children at an early age are unaware of the process of learning. Try and do this little trick next time you meet a toddler - First, ask him something he does not know. "Do you know why chameleons change their color?". After he admits he has no idea, give him the answer: "They do it for camouflage, so they won't easily be seen". Without waiting, ask him again immediately: "So, do you know why chameleons change their color?". This time he'll probably give back the answer he just heard. If he doesn't, explain it better until he gets it. Once he told you about the camouflage, go on and ask him: "How long have you known that?". And the killer response will probably be... "I've known that for a very long time"!! This means that even an implicit suggestion by an adult about the possibility of having a past life, may cause the child to sincerely think he "knows" about his re-incarnation from birth, and casually present it as a fact whenever he's asked. Human psychology is fascinating, isn't it? :-)

Actually, there are many cases of children saying they're reincarnated "regular" people. One of them is documented in the documentary "The Boy Who Lived Before", a little kid recalling very specific details about his past life in a small village, just a part of a regular family. That documentary really gets you thinking, to be honest, and I'm a full blown atheist. They take him to the house of his "past incarnation" and he gets all weird and quiet, and they say after the visit he calmed down with the reincarnation stories and moved on with his own life. Really weird. Seriously weird. I expected him to go crazy when they go visit the house, recalling stuff that happened, making a show... but instead he looked like he was disappointed, melancholy, as if in a little grief, and then he just let go of the whole thing entirely. Weird.

Well, I don't really believe in reincarnation but I do gotta say that there've been certain things and experiences I seemed to have known about in great detail before someone told me or before they happened to me. It's all very everyday-y stuff, like for instance I had a very vivid dream of a kiss before my actual first kiss and it felt and tasted exactly like the real thing. What I think MIGHT be the case though is that maybe our DNA saves certain memories and thus experiences can be passed down to our kids in a way? I mean DNA memory is basically what primal instinct is, isn't it? Maybe certain other things sometimes get passed down to us by our ancestors in the same way?

I am, as a Buddhist, not using the term 'reincarnation'. Instead I use 'rebirth'. IMO, rebirth in the earth again is a very rare case because there are billions of planets in our universe in where we can rebirth. These planets can be at thousand years distant for light to travel from earth to them. In these planets, the law of nature may change gradually as they are farther awy from the earth, e.g. some of them may not be four dimensional time and space like the earth we live. Any abstract space we learn in math could be existed in one of these planets. This explains why someone is smarter than others in math as he/she might have lived in the abstract space

I remember my past life very vividly. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some coincidences that cannot be explained. 1. I love the 1800s time period and reading about it is my past time. 2. The 1800s was when covered wagons were used. 3. I remember riding in a covered wagon on a long dusty road. Explain that.

My brother, when he was 4, he was trying to climb on the furniture, and when my mom asked him what is he doing he told us, he once was a soldier, who loved one girl very much, but he had to jump from the plane with parachute which did not open. And so he jumps and tell us he won´t see his girl anymore. We made fun of it, but then we realized he did not see any movie or hear any story similar to this. Weird part - he did not remember this when we confronted him with his story later. Maybe it was just a game...

i used to know a guy who thinks he was reincarnated many times in his life, he even paid one of those palm readers and she said he has fought in every american war as different men in past lives (he really likes the military and when offered to join the infantry he coward down and became a cook in the national guard in this life) but she also told him that he was a king of egypt, and a whole punch of other bullshit.... i was joking with his wife about how isnt it amazing that nobody has ever had a palm reader tell them they were just a shit farmer or a coward, or some other really shitty thing.... he over heard me (side note, im not his friend, he pissed me off and accused me of sleeping with his wife, please also note i did not do that either, she isnt very good looking if you ask me... and i didnt like him, i was only a friend to the family) when he heard me say that he tried to make me feel bad that i said that, and replied with "amazing how out of the 100 other lives you lived you were amazing, but its this life that you are a pussy"..... yeaaaaa i havent talked to him in a while..... funny story though

And what if assasins creed series is partialy right? What if certain traumatic memories can be passed to next generation? It do not have to as impossible as it might seem, considering epigenetics and stuff. young brain can definetly make up some pretty/nasty (or pretty nasty) details. I do not mean to start about Jung's "collective unconsciousness". But it might have something to it.

HOW CAN YOU BE SCIENCE SHOW AND BE SO UNSCIENTIFIC?? I ussually like listening to DNEWS but this video has gone to far.... If you think your smart by suggesting that ALL the stories about past life memories of young children are either just from suggestion or parents trying to make money you are a fool. Have you actually done any research to find out about any of the stories?? (Which would be scientific.....) or would rather just guess that there all fake because somehow you know with your super intelligence?

Kids come up with a bunch of crazy thoughts. Just like having an imaginary friend, or having a split personality (like I did when I was young) and can believe in it because they don't know reality all too much. Ask the kids about what their reality of their past life was and they'd be clueless. "What was your past occupation and how did you manage between saving and paying the rent and hydro?" "uhduhhhhhh"

KiloPaSKULL Music I can see where you are coming from. I don't believe in reincarnation, it first of all just doesn't make since to me and second, there would be no point in God. I am a Christian and a lot of people think it's "just" a religion but it's more then that. It's a relationship with God. But anyway, the brain is the strangest part in the human body and it can come up with some strange things that seem true but aren't. Like you can honestly imagine yourself as anyone and think it's true.

@HekaAlchemi

life is what animates you. which is why humans and non-human animals aren't inanimate objects. We have life. what gives us life is our spirit and/or soul. To say we aren't a spirit is to say we are basically inanimate objects, which is ridiculous. Life is what separates us from an iphone. This spirit is made up of energy. energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Maybe this is everyone's first conscious experience, but I really really really don't think so, and after we die in this life, there will be another. The conscious experience does not end. It's impossible for our consciousness to stop existing.. It is not a reality.. and it's not even scientific. We cannot observe anyone's consciousness not existing.
@Flameo326
@Flameo326 10 лет назад
The question is, Where does our consciousness go after we die? 2 Corinthians 5:10 says We must all stand in front of Christ to be judged. Each one of us will be judged for the good things and the bad things we do while we are in our bodies. Then each of us will receive what we are supposed to get. We will be judged by Christ for all the bad things and good things we have done on the earth. Romans 6:23 When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done. Since you have sinned according to the 10 commandments and Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Against God, You will be sentenced to a spiritual death or Hell for all eternity. However, John 3:16 says "God sent done his only begotten Son so that whomever shall believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." If you believe in Jesus and turn away from the world (repent or turn away from your sins) You shall be granted Eternal Life in heaven with God. Will turn from your sins and believe in Jesus the Son of God?

***** "We have life. what gives us life is our spirit and/or soul." What is a spirit/soul and how do you know that's what it is? "To say we aren't a spirit is to say we are basically inanimate object" Lol no its really not. "The conscious experience does not end." How do you know that? "It's impossible for our consciousness to stop existing" Again, how do you know, since you say "impossible" that must mean you have no doubt, surely you would not say you know that 100% based only on faith so what evidence do you have? "It is a non-reality" If this is a scientific term do tell me what it means, if not you're simply talking out of your ass. "We cannot observe anyone's consciousness not existing." This was by far your dumbest statement. We can't observe pixies living under your fingernails singing praise to Allah can we? Does that mean that since we can't observe them they're real? If that's the case ANYTHING we can't observe must exist according to that logic.

Hillyhab That would probably be the 'nothing' or 'no' color, which is probably absolutely impossible to conceive with our rationale for some reason.... maybe because we don't know 'nothing' or simply that 'nothing' doesn't exists! But for peace of mind I reckon most people would pick 'black'

While I definitely hear the logic of "power of suggestion," the question I still have is, how can certain intricate details be remembered when no one else remembers it?
