Both verions of Sounds of Silence are good, but what i think takes Disturbed's version over the top is the lyrics are an emotional warning; kind of a call to action. Simon and Garfunkel sound about as emotional as can of soda, but thats also the nature of folk music. It's a beautiful rendition, but there is this "why aren't you paying attention" rage to Disturbed's version that I find very appropriate.
