Are Cowboy Boot Socks Worth It? 

Hello again I'm a Afro American male for the Midwest who just recently bought a pair of Ariat cowboy boy boots and love my boots,not too many African American males has switched over to a pair yet trying to start a trend I hope so. Just being me I guess

I don't necessarily like the sock pulled all the way up to my knee, but I dislike boots rubbing against my leg more. Tecovas sells a 3 pack that are decent socks.

I recently was turned on to wearing soccer socks after my boot socks failed to stay up and one of my legs got shafted. The sporting goods store was clearancing some, so I gave them a shot and I love them. Those babies sure stay up no matter how active I am.

I've worn these socks for many years. They are excellent and wear like iron for me. Furthermore, they stay over my calf an never fall down, which seriously annoys me. They are a medium weight and work well in colder weather our with boots that fit on the larger side. Lastly, they are offered in a smaller size, which suits my small 7.5D foot size. Nice video. I wear ankle socks with my 13 inch high boots 😂😂. They are honestly really comfy for hours upon end.

I wear wolverine boot socks. They’re moisture wicking and cost $4 a pair at rural king. One thing I learned in the Army as an infantryman is to buy quality footwear. Your feet are your foundation if you don’t take care them your whole body starts to collapse.

I have like two drawers full of socks. I’m like you that first new sock feel is amazing. I don’t know how people are wearing ankle socks with these boots. They eat my calves alive, especially on the side. I own the same socks and love them.

I got some of those and they tore through the heel after 5 uses. Darn Tough from then on. It’s like putting on a new pair of socks every time. Darn tough socks are warrantied for life.

A sock brand called Pair of Thieves started showing up in my area late last year. Not boot socks but similar to what you describe about being very supportive and not falling down.

I love Dan Post boot socks. Also, everytime I’m near a BootBarn, I stop in to pick up a new 2-pack of the socks, just to keep newer ones in my inventory. As of 1/2023, their price has gone up since this video. I paid $19.50 +tax yesterday in Cali. But I don’t care, they’re worth it with boots.

I’ve been using the wrangler boot socks off Amazon. The black ones are my everyday boot socks. Funny is the grays are thinner. The black is amazing. I tried others not these Dan post ones yet. But wrangler socks are super fantastic. Thanks again for the great job

Wrangler tall boots socks are the only ones I have found to buy where I live. Dan Post products here in Canada are rare...mostly just their Boots.

Wow to be honest I do experience a lot of stress on the ball pads on my my feet and my socks do fall down in the boot. So after this video I am going out to get a pair of boot socks and some leather conditioner for my Chinese Durango boots. To be honest I don't care as much for the Durango boots as much as my $300 pare of Dan post boots. My Dan Post boots are my favorite ones and only for dates and peeps I am showing off for. Now the Durango boots are for work and I only picked them up for $14 at the same thrift store I purchased my Dan Post for $12. 🤠🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

They are definitely worth it for a # of reasons. I wear my boots a touch bit..I hate the snug feel. So the thicker socks help that big time. Great, informative videos. Thank You

I wore Gold toe over the calf socks for years, but recently there quality has gone downhill. I can't even wear them anymore with boots, because the seams dig into my toes so bad. Crew socks always fall down on me, but over the calf is hard to find. I need some decent over the calf socks that won't dig into my toes.

I like the tall socks to protect your legs from getting a skin rash from the cowboy boots upper edge rubbing against the skin when walking.... especially if you have hairy legs...lol

Not enough wool content for me, I love wool more than any other material. Even in the Summer wool makes a difference to foot health.

I wear boot socks, but only when I head to northern AZ and the weather is colder. But mine only go up to the calf.

Hi Jeremiah, Another great video. I wear Dan Post boot socks with all my boots except the Sendras as the are a bit more snug. I tried many brands of boot socks but Dan Post are by FAR the best I’ve tried. Never seen them in bulk at a lower price but will be watching the comments Incase someone else has. Thx. Russ

I wear Dickies steel toe boot socks. They have arch support, reinforced toes and heel, and come up to the knee. $6.99 at Walmart! They are a thick sock and possibly could mess with your boot size but they work for me. Take care brother 👍

I don’t wear boot socks as such,but I do wear over the calf tube socks that go completely over the calf to just below my knee. They’re the only thing that stays up;shorter socks slide down and come off when I take off my boots. I hate it when they come off like that.

The thickness of socks plays a very important roll in all my boots. Some take a regular thickness. I have a pair that if i where a cody james winter boot sock they turn into magic.

Hi Jeremiah-Great video! I always wear over the calf black socks so I appreciated this video. I have some of the Dan Post socks too, but I actually wear black adidas or under armour black football/soccer socks or gold toe black nylon dress socks with my boots. Always black and always over the calf. I usually buy 6 pairs of socks at a time myself. I also love socks almost as much as I love cowboy boots. Thanks for this awesome video!

It's necessary to buy the knee high boots socks when you're wearing regular cowboy boots to avoid the high stiff leather shaft cutting into you leg flesh when you're walking unless you're wearing roper boots then you can use any regular socks because the leather shaft is shorter and softer feel

Thorlo running socks come right above the ankle and make me feel like a millionaire. Boots feel great and I rarely wear anything longer.

Theyve been a big help now with parkinson's but before that I wore high white Sox I bought by the bag in big box stores and did just fine. Wrangler does make an excellent cowboy boot sock however

I’m starting to wear compression socks I’m 60 now and my feet aren’t like they used to be plus I swell a little so the compression socks help my legs and feet high socks are the best for cowboy boots plus you don’t want them falling down high socks or compression that’s all I wear

Hey, Jeremiah! I bought a new pair of black Dan Post boots in a very smooth leather. Would you recommend these kinds of socks to break them in a little or should I stick with a thicker merino wool sock? I love the idea of having an almost knee high sock just for more comfort.

Darn tough wool socks. All year long. Wool has a natural antimicrobial property and cut down on foot stank after 14 hour days working on your feet.

Best socks that I use it carhartt force the longest pair they get I can’t remember the length but they never fall and they’re so. Comfortable but they’re expensive I think you get 4 pair for 20$ try them you will not go back

Hey man, love your channel! Learned alot about boots from you haha, just got into western boots in the last year. I'm up to 3 and 1 western work boot, all ariats except for my recent pair of Justin's distressed goat skin boot (very nice looking 😎) but it has the glued in leather insole, not used to it, I feel like they're not as comfortable as my ariats, you have an opinion on what I can do to make them more comfortable? I tried adding a new insole but it made the boot waaay to tight.

There’s a hundred over the calve socks out ther for boot socks dan post I’m not sure is the best I have a bunch of different boot socks I know one thing ariat are 3 for 20 dollars roughly they are junk now ther a lot of them I thr best may be called best darn sock and a lot cheaper than dan post I have a pair ordered to check them out my heels bother me as you get older you lose the fat in the bottom of your heels so a sock that has some extra support in the heel is bet for me I’m trying all different brands to see what is the best but dan post is about 20 dollars a pair so I will try them I don’t like ther boots but will try ther socks may be good will see

I love cowboy boots sucks. I have tried Justin socks, Dan Post socks and a few others but wrangler makes the best sock and I have about 15 pair. They're the only ones that hold up and don't fall down they have a special whicking agents in it that at letsmy feet to breathe and not sweat in the summer time in they keep my feet warm in the Winter time most of all these socks do not fall down ever and the stay in pla e when I position them on my actual foot.
