You are welcome. DCs remains separate from the JCF but Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF), blue seam, was the one that merged with the JCF

Friend it is the same as a civilian you have to go through the same process. The JCF does not respect DC enough to have a cross over program. They take strangers off the road and turn them I to regular police and a same DC teach them the work I have many DC friends and I know total madness that's why JCF have a big problem they can manage human capital in the JCF eyes you are booth on the ground nothing more. The force need to be modernized and Jamaica become a federal republic not a ceremonial a proper republic like face or the USA and the JCF name change from it's colonial name to Jamaica Constabulary Servise JCS

Yes boss agreed I read the act and that's what it say DC can be promoted JCF promote them friends not base on competence at times. It can be clearly seen.

And one at the telecommunications division and one that was a bodyguard for the commissioner.

Typically, all contracts are 5 years. However, there are time when a member gets a one year contract due to maybe their work, worth and conduct within the force. Expected service time goes up to age 65... retirement age

That one kinda tough. Hip injury is no simple injury. It tends to hack up in rigorous physical situations. So I doubt they’ll recruit someone with hip injury since the training itself is hard on the body

They will have to resign the post of DC to be promoted to those ranks if they have a certain skill set needed by the organization. DC cannot be promoted. Only the regular force has a rank structure. They will have to switch to the regular force

it's a convenes for certain people to include them, as friends. The point is a civilian can't become a gazetted rank police so they use the DC systemin to join the JCf just like how they do with the ISCF turn them into regulars all of them resign and become regular at the rank they were at or higher in some case. The whole thing is corrupt and I believe the minister needs to put in place a proper rank structure if he cares for DC and crime-fighting.

I know qualified DC with degree that can help and solve nuff this mess Jamaica face DC who have certain specialised talents and JCF don't see it fit to promote or chance them over to officers yet them take civilian turn them in DC and promote them corruption at it's highest. That's why why I tell police friends of mine especially DC who no get good pay have a second job and don't allow anyone to use u without u getting something in return. Why the JCF make it do difficult for good DC to join the work total rubbish backwards.

DCs are not recruited on a regular basis. It's only when there's a need. They haven't stopped. Maybe there's no need for anymore at the point in time.

Yes you can move from DC to the regular rank if you're over 35 but if you have special technical skill/s that is needed by the JCF.

It’s not a special technical skill but you can join and cross over whenever there’s another opportunity comes up. It’s not done often so it’s not a guarantee

I did the exam Yesterday, No It’s Not Hard Basic Grade 9 Math, English, General Knowledge You Will Be Ask To Write An Essay base on topics provided.

Check your Parish HQ. They are the ones does most of the recruiting for DCs. They will be better able to inform you of recruitment dates

District constables work more than the regular police,it more than you saying we worked more than the regular police we teach the regular and they disrespect us only use us.

You know it goes both ways right? Young DCs are taught by regular police officers especially when there’s no other DC at a particular station. I admit, Dcs work hard and over exert themselves sometimes but understand this, there are some lazy ass ones too. I’ve seen my fair share. Hey, but that’s not what this is about. DCs are ill-treated by many and it needs to change
