@@amazingamerr115 bro if you can I’d try and buy today or maybe tomorrow got mine on sale for 374 new and 278 with trading in my series s it might go back to 500 next week after Christmas
Before I start the video, answer is: Buy the Series S for ports, backwards compatability, and emulation. You're welcome (unless you want to stick with your PC)
Oh on the contrary, batteries are built in for a reason on most things these days. To force people to have replace an item when the battery degrades over time versus just the battery itself...
If you haven't bought one yet you can't go wrong with the Series S. You have 2 options and both are affordable. And will definitely last until the next generation Xbox is out.
Idk why would anyone would consider a digital xbox atm. For $350 you get series x /w 1tb and a disc drive for 4k movies. It's weird they just released the Black Series S 1tb model for $350 followed by a sale for the xbox series x. The only benefit I see to owning the Series S is the size for travel use. I
I am planning on buying the Xbox X sometime in January 2024. I wanted to get this on launch but it's been out of stock until recently . I hope the prices are reduced even more , I stopped playing games for many many years & like to start playing games from time to time . A racing game & Halo Infinite & GTA 5 are the games I be getting . I'm in the UK.
In my opinion even with the disadvantage of being strictly digital only I gotta say 250-300 is a steal for a next gen system, while I do agree with single player experiences Sony does beat Microsoft on it the average person can't just drop 400-500 so most people like me who look forward to the multiplatform releases would just go for the series s
@@TheMahayanistas someone who had the series s storage was a big issue also the fact that games would cut off certain features for the s especially with the console only 376 at gamestop or 350 other places it’s worth it I traded in my series s today at GameStop and got a x for 278
Holy crap Fanta! I had no idea quick resume could mess with your games like that! I’m always switching between SOD2, Hogwarts & Borderlands, and have always noticed that SOD always gets laggy. I’m going to try closing quick resume games. Thanks Fanta! : )
There are no Sony first party games. I bought PS5 to migrate my PS4 games and play 4k. Exclusives for Sony won't be here until 2029. The Insomniac leaks show that.
I had a series s for about 2 years then upgraded to a series x and sent the s to my brother who is in the navy. My gripe with it is that it automatically updated some xbox one games to s/x optimized and now they have to be on internal storage to play them and there is not enough space
What's the actual difference between the series x and an Xbox one? They seem to have all the same games? Online its just like "oh 4k high fps blah blah" but i don't care to spend $350 on a console plus whatever a new TV costs these days for just that.
Upgraded from a xbox one x to a series x for $350.. 6 months ago. definitely worth it. It's much more snappy, loads faster, & runs quieter. It's a solid deal. + I no longer have to worry about getting to the cash register and look stupid for not realizing it won't run on the xbox one x. ^ Can't recommend for $400-500 unless you have an xbox that's older than the xbox one x.
As a PC gamer, MS has made so you don't need to own an Xbox. Yet, Best Buy had XSX last week at 340. Yep, I didn't need an xbox, but I have one. It's a great system. Especially for playing 360 and OG xbox games.
The reason why console manufacturers like Sony and Nintendo don't want backwards compatible is simple. It's about the money. Instead of just being able to play old old games they want you to buy them again. Sony started this with remastered games from PS2 on PS3 and Remakes on PS4. Currently GTA 5 is on it's 3rd console and second remastered edition.
I believe that exclusives for both PS5 and Xbox have been meh also lol I got a used series S earlier this year and I love it, it gets turned on more than my PS5. I use it for Game Pass and COD, I’m able to get 60FPS and while you can tell there is a difference in graphics it doesn’t bother me. If you are able to find the S for $150 get it and I would suggest you look for an expansion card also but if you come across the X for $350 that’s a no brainer.
Next Friday I'll be buying the Xbox series x, I had the series s for 3 years and it's been hell. New games are released in low resolution with low fps so now that it's $367 at Gamestop in Walmart I can afford it
I bought the Series s for 140 from Walmart about 2weeks before christmas. I might have played it 10 hours at max, my switch that is 7 years old has been played probably over 100hours and my PS5 probably about the same
gears of war1 is on pc gamepass, the rest are console only until 4/5 i think, so theres a few gears games are console only. i tried to find them on pc but theyre not released.
Just bought a new Series X that my buddy had laying around for $300, and im having a difficult time finding games that i really want to play that i dont already have on PS5.
I'm in my 50s, I'm not too keen of many of the new games, except for a few here and there, I like older games and that's why I went ahead and got ne ann series X for Christmas.
@@ohgoshitsjosh3682 As a pc player myself as well with a 6yr old pc & a xbox one x. I ran out to buy a series x for $350. Too good of a deal to pass up on.
For $350 I picked up a series x today. Haven't owned an Xbox since initial release of the 360 and we all know how that went. Now have all 3 current gen systems.
Hey buddy after a decade with original Xbox one, I decided to get a pre-owned Xbox Series S and love it. I barely play disc games especially since bs has to download to play a physical game. Digital only wins for me.
I always kept my one x is rest mode so I never had long booting times. All these years later I turn on my one x and the game is ready to continue where I left off instantly. As I’ve always focused on one game at a time being able to quick resume multiple games instead of just one was never a feature I would have felt the need for. One x still holds up for me since you’re largely playing the same games series x users are, oh and I still have access to the precious game pass Xbox fans wax so lyrical about, not that I ever use it.If I fire up my one x, which is very rare, it’s mostly to revisited games like mafia 3, state of decay 2, jump in do a few missions to kill time when waiting to do other things or when I’m simply feeling nostalgic. I have a lot of physical games for my one x I barely even started like far cry 5 and 6, Alien isolation, man from Medan, house of ashes, Late shift to name but a few. Whilst they are all good games I’ve just gravitated more towards games I own on other systems. I play my ps5, my ps3, my ps4 pro mostly and occasionally my 360 s because 360 games in my opinion look better on it because they’re running on a 24 inch hd monitor as opposed to a 55inch 4k screen like my newer consoles.
"Console-only" exclusives were finished last generation. Xbox isn't a console anymore, it's a brand. Putting Xbox Game Studios games on PC is totally fine with Microsoft. If you mean Xbox exclusives, not "Xbox console exclusives" then yes, there are several.
xbox is nice cause no matter what hardware you have or will have you only buy a game once. you'll always own that game, and the game and all its data/saves etc. will follow you on your account forever. Even if you get a new model down the line, or want to play on pc, you own that game, no matter the hardware. I can still play old og xbox games or 360 games I have, no upcharge or anything. memory management is also nice too, even if you have to delete a game to save space or whatever all your saves return if you re-install it later. you don't need to pay any monthly fee for that, it just works.
Its worth it because its the last console of xbox that will have disc drive. I sold both of my series x though. I dont play games anymore. Waiting untl they make real new gen games
Gears of war is my favourite game i love playing it and so do many of my friends so you might want to check your facts before saying nobody plays it anymore sorry to burst your bubble young fella but it started on 360 and is going strong on my series X and it will continue to go strong long into the future, it must be nice having xbox consoles for $350 but here in Australia they sell for $799 but i will gladly buyback console for that price as i love all gaming consoles, disk version only i hate how things are going digital i prefer to have a physical copy
Series S is for those who want easy backwards compatibility options. Ports and emulation. You can obviously play current gen games too. Most games play 60fps. I have a ps5 and a series s and that’s the perfect gaming setup. That’s how I would treat the S. Amazing side console
Microsoft already banned the emulators a while ago. It was the only reason I got a Series S, and I got rid of it when the emulators were gone. If I don't get to do what I want with it, then F it.
Sold my PS5 to get a Series X and I haven't missed the PS5 at all. Xbox MAU users is sky high and profits are soaring. Worth it? It's the best ecosystem in gaming.
I'm still on my MW2 360 My question is if I'm going to finally upgrade only for a new console to drop next fall, and i wont be able to play the next Fable after all
I recently trade my Xbox Series S on GameStop and they give me $180.00 for it. I ended up paying $170.00 for my Series X. For that price is it worth it??
We got exclusives, Xbox got plenty they just not as famous as Playstation exclusives. Games like State of Decay, Psychonauts 1 and 2, Hellblade, and HI fi Rush(I heard that one is porting to Nintendo) aren't as eye catching and don't turn as many heads as famous names like God of War and Final Fantasy. But Xbox has exclusives for sure, definitely!
So I can trade in my jet black ps4 pro to Best Buy for $110 in trade value…which would make the Xbox X $240… However I am a streamer who already has a solid 1440p gaming rig ‘12700k/xtxh 6900xt/2x2tb 2x1tb nvme gen 4 drives etc etc…’ So I would only be buying it so I could play gta 6 when it launches… The PS5 slim with spiderman 2 after the trade in would be $340 but after paying for the ps5 extra service it’s back up to $480… I really want the ps5 but I think I am gonna just wait for a Craigslist super sale on a ps5 with extras (where I live the market is flooded with deals)… Ok this was a useless comment, but I’m gonna post it anyways to boost the channel a little bit…
Love your videos man! BUT I would argue on one of your points… the controller…. “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” except the Xbox controllers while comfortable and when they work as they should are great controllers but the QC issues these controllers have is disappointing. There are numerous complaints on buttons not working or failing. I have a few controllers that work great, no issues, and have had for years. Others I’ve had some issues with buttons not working, buttons getting stuck, etc. so yea, the controllers are the biggest issue for me. Otherwise, the sales that ran on these consoles for the holidays absolutely worth it at those price points. $350 for a series x… yes!
You’re right, I’ve heard issues from people too, but I’ve never experienced them myself. Even my first Xbox One controller that I spilled beer on 9 years or so ago still works fine! I guess I just got lucky?
@@FANTAVISION awesome to get a reply from you! lol again big fan! But yea that’s awesome! lol one of my main controllers is my old Xbox one s controllers no issues! I got the halo series x and the A button had issues registering so I unfortunately had to buy an extra off eBay. Bought a Stellar shift controller, no issues. Elite core controller no issues (so far). Bought another series X on black Friday with all the sales going on, for my office, the controller that came with it, the A button would get stuck randomly. So it’s hit and miss!
I’m a PlayStation man but I’m thinking of getting an Xbox for a bit while I wait for some more games, I can currently get a series x on eBay for cheaper then a series S, should I do it?
Right now Xbox barely has any new exclusives but I still purchased the Series X because most of my online squad mates are on Xbox. While for my PS5 I play for the exclusives and single player games like Elden Ring and God Of War.
Ya I picked up the xbox series x $350 despite having a pc & a xbox one x. I've had it since 2018... I starting to feels it's age. I figure for $350 for faster load times and better performance is worth it + I could always sell my one x.
Never had an Xbox, got one Xbox Series X for 380 euros 2 weeks ago, PS5 SLIM is still too expensive (550 EUROS). I still prefer my PS4 to the Series X in terms of games(I own more than 200) and the controller is better for "the hands", but Game pass is superior to PS Premium, and its awesome the older games you can play, its a shame the retrocompatible program has been shutdown since 2021. And of course, its a good console, but there are not many new games, its already weak for new playstation games, its even worse for xbox. I would say the big studios are trapped in a loop of lack of creativity , and at the same time they dont invest in modern versions of older games like Resistance and Killzone from the PS and xbox no longer having a backward compatible program which would bring a lot of money to them. PS: I actually like Gears of War, but yeh the first 3 ones are the best!
I would disagree about Xbox heavy hitters vs Playstation. Playstation is the same copy and paste formula. It gets old so fast. At least Microsoft gives variety.
I will say this - I have a PS5 and Series X both, on PS, i have around 1,000 digital games I bought over the yrs and counting, and have 184 platinum trophies and climbing. On Xbox, I have only 100,000 gamer score. I dont buy games on Xbox much because there simply is not that many games I am interested in. I am always buying games on PS, even the 50 cent indie games on PS Store are great and not even a available on Xbox store. If you like trophy hunting, PS is much better because there are around 4,000 games to buy in the PS store. Game Pass used to be great, but mostly now it just adds indie games for 10 yr old kids. I dont even play my Series X anymore but on PS5 daily.
Why would anyone want the series s when the series x is better and does the same just better? Then there is the whole physical backwards compatibility with the series x; why limit yourself to an inferior unit? Get the series x and still have space for downloads as well as physical games.
I honestly don't think the Series is worth buying yet. There's no exclusive MUST PLAY games on it (yet). And I don't care if you have one and like it, good on you, but the Series S is underpowered. If a PS5 is available or you have the money for a PC- go down those paths.
See, unfortunately for me the xbox is just the halo machine. There is no prominent title pulling my attention to the new xbox generation over the ps5. The best one I've seen by far is HiFi Rush. Every new title they've been trying to push so far has just failed to capture me. I haven't even seen any gameplay footage of starfield, but I've got no desire to watch any either. This coming from someone that really really enjoyed the Xbox 360 and even had the xbox one for a time.
I bought a series x a year and a half ago. Its a really good console. I feel like i play games more because of how good the console is. I feel so satisfied that i dont think ill have to get a next gen console right away. Might just wait until im forced to get the new games.
@Terminator-lmao df you talking about dude came to hate for what 😂 as a ps5 owner you tripping we got like 13 remasters of old games and dlc content pushed as full games Xbox is a better console and especially now going into the future
I was with u but u need to do more research on Xbox’ first party games because you arnt just wrong but completely off. Xbox is first party exclusives ridded with microtranactions? But than named Starfield which has zero.. how about Grounded? Pentiment? Forza? U need to do more research
Forza has LOTS of DLC. I would argue car packs are close enough to microtransactions. Starfield wasn’t included in my discussion on microtransactions, just that it was disappointing. Sorry for the confusion!
😂😂😂You really can’t see why the series X is dropping in price? You really see it as a steal? It’s because series X isn’t selling well. People have seen through the hype and opted to avoid Xbox this gen in favour of ps5. Ps5 is vastly outselling series X in most parts of the world. I still have my one x. The only way I would even consider getting a series X is if my one x stopped working, just to make use of the physical games I still own. People want new games, not enhanced games they’ve already played🤷”Sorry! I don’t make the news, I just report it”-Myron Gaines
I don’t think I ever said that I’m surprised that it lowered in price, I’m just surprised by how low it’s gone. And for sure the PS5 is outselling Xbox, that’s not even up for debate. Not sure why that’s relevant to wanting to buy one though?
We know its not worth buying. Listen, i love my xbox, i just switch it on and start gaming. I dont get harassed by windows to do updates, and i dont deal with jet engine noise fans. That doesnt make it worth it though. With all of the money i spent, shoulda just got a PC. its kind of sad because xbox was revolutionary. Remember halo 1? Yeah...
@@TheMahayanist I don't prefer the console, I prefer the ease of access. But, a better product that does not make. The pc people think they're better... because they are 😂😂
I hook up my Xbox series x hola infinite limited edition after hold it for 3 years put away my Xbox x gear's war limited edition a Seagate expansion 2 TB got that for $308.00 out pay 450 to 500 soooo fast
And elite series 2 halo limited edition never open that I only play MW 3 fornite buy Star ⭐😇😺👐▶️⏯️✨ starfield limited edition play once believe or not it so real it's dope but I am in battle pass and black cell sick
Xbox is Trash the series X ain't even been used to its full potential hardly any games to represent the power they are a flipping joke series s waste of time you have to have Internet or the damn box is useless that's crazy 😊
The thing with the Xbox (especially the Series X) is that they are really solid pieces of hardware and I actually prefer it to the PS5 in that aspect. The issue is the lack of exclusives and the user base is much lower. For the same price, you can get a PS5 with the same games, a ton of exclusives and a bigger user base. If you have a PC capable of gaming, it's even more pointless to own an Xbox. The only reason to get an Xbox is if you are just loyal to the brand. I wish Microsoft was more competitive but it feels like are just making Xbox to make it. .
Xbox has the better console experience. Playstation has the better exclusives. My PC has both with the downside of it costing more up front, but I don't have to pay to play my games online and I get better discounts too. I personally don't think the Series S is worth it unless you can get it super cheap. A lot of the games coming out these days run very poorly on it, but I think the Series X is a very compelling option for the lower prices its been going down to lately.
Nope not worth it, because of the SSD I saw or read somewhere that if you update your Xbox series S/X the SSD will be corupt. Is there any truth to this ?
