I’m a Hokie and have been to plenty of games in the Swamp since I moved to Tampa in 2001. Gator are passionate and have high expectations, as they should. But they are not toxic. They’ve been welcoming to me and always seemed realistic as a group. Every fan base has a knucklehead or two but Gator fans have a great fan base.

Gators fans need to come to grips with reality - Coach is not the issue - He will need 4 years to get them to 10 wins

This years schedule is brutal. Then you have the same schedule next year. Florida will be lucky to make a bowl game. His buyout is very high as well.

Here's the deal- we DO have high expectations but the question is should we?? If you zoom out and look at college football history we're really and truthfully new money. We didn't become "Florida" until Spurrier arrived and then got lucky to land Urban after Zook didn't work out who by the way was a light's out recruiter. We're like Mark Cuban compared to the Rockefellers and DuPonts that Alabama and Ohio State are. A 15 year run proves we can do it but we certainly haven't always done it.

No we're just passionate and want our team to win and be somewhat competent. If Alabama, or Ohio State, or Oklahoma was going through the same thing their fan base would be just the same.

I have no doubt that death threats were made against a recent past head coach. None whatsoever. And he won big games in the swamp and @ LSU. Whom I believe is our greatest rival year in and year out.
