Are Gaming Sleeves CRINGE? Pulsar eS Arm Sleeve Review 

If you don't have oily + sweaty hands, you'll never understand the friction skin puts on and why those long sleeves are real good for such challenges.

Absolutely must use if you use a glass pad. I fingertip grip my mouse so it totally works for me. I'm also using the one with poke through hole for the thumb since my lower palm makes contact with the pad all the time. The sweat sticks to the surface very hard for glass pads, a sleeve completely negates it. The sleeve I bought costs 2$ for 4 pairs from Taobao and it works so good already, definitely don't need a 20$ one.

Sleeves in the south aren't cringe at all. It's so humid that you basically need it or your skin is going to stick to your mouse pad.

Hey Boardzy, the best sleeves I've tried in term of "less friction with the surface" is the Lizard skins performances that you showed on screen. That's the only one I recommend since I've tested them. (I have 100 mousepads for testing)

Definitely a must for glass pads and the palm covering one esp., but yeah, the whole bouncy spandex airgap layer that's not flush to your palm situation was just way too annoying to get past for me. Also agreed on being nearly unusable on control pads; couldn't really do it with my Zero. Good to hear that they work well with a Raiden tho, might be the next Artisan pad I try out, thanks! Another thing I'd mention for anyone considering a sleeve, I think it's similar to the finger tips touching pad vs. not touching thing. As in, you will lose the touch sense feedback from your palm/wrist/arm and will have to adapt your aim.

A regular sleeve helps me a lot. My arm gets sweaty and sticks to the pad, destroying my aim. The sleeve helps with that.

Definitely a must have with glass pads. The palm one works for me with my finger grip grip since the base of my palm rubs on the pad with my RVMSE

I think it depends on where you put your mouse, back in the day i used to put my mouse close to the edge of the table and leave half of my forearm hanging in the air when i play. Friction was never a issue. When I moved to placing my forearm on the table, then with sleeve and without sleeve makes a huge difference.

Try every sleeves inside out when you do it on different Pads. Can Improve friction a lot.

What about with a razer strider? Any thoughts for that pad?

I use an Artisan Zero and on the Y axis my forearm gets stuck on my desk. Is there any way to fix this if the eS sleeve is not compatible with the pad?

Hello, I'm planning on buying 1 of these (Arm Long) sleeves but I'm not sure what size should I chose because I have a gaming sleeve at home which I'm not using due to the fact that it cuts the blood circulation in my arm after wearing it for a few minutes, I can feel how my fingers are getting colder and my arm tingles. My arm measurements in relaxed state on the widest points (Wrist - 16 cm / Forearm - 26 cm / Bicep - 31). I'm just a bit confused because according to the size chart the L size is way below my arm measurements and I'm afraid of not getting the same experience as my previous sleeve. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Oh. I've been using a drawing glove with fingers cut off for basically this purpose. My wrist is on the mousepad and it tends to affect the mouse feel a lot when it's extra humid, or I'm just getting those gamer sweats. These full arm sleeves are a bit of a meme, but I guess they are useful if you rest your whole arm on the mousepad? A palm sleeve might be even better for me since my thumb still tends to drag on the mousepad.

Living in a country with high levels of humidity and gaming in a place where I sweat a lot, besides using it for reducing friction on the arm I use sports sleeves to prevent my arms from sticking to the pad because of the sweat my arm produces.

i bought two Finger Long ones (one medium & one large), I have super skinny arms and the medium fit me well, I'm a finger tip grip guy that sweats a lot in general from their hands & this sleeve did help with that, just keep in mind that it might add friction depending on your pad, it did with mine and I don't mind it personally and another side note, when you put it on, don't stretch it completely back or it will start to fray from the part between the pinky and middle

I use a sleeve on a cloth pad for not just the consistency but also I have a very nice artisan pad and I don't want the pad to get dirtied by my forearm rubbing on it which no matter what will transfer skin oils and cells to the mat. And personally cleaning a mouse mat never feels the same again

I personally own this sleeve as well, used it for about 2 weeks now. The fabric is very soft, just make sure to choose the right size. I have the regular long sleeve, but the fact that there are several choices is just more beneficial. I main a skypad, so having a sleeve literally makes the experience 10x better than using a skypad without a sleeve. The stigma against sleeves gotta stop, you're not a geek for using one lol it helps prevent all that dead skin and sweat absorb into the pad and creates a much more consistent glide on the pad when your forearm isn't getting stuck.

whats a good sleeve for the artisan zero soft

i use a palm grip but the lower part of my hand touches my pad and it literally pinches my skin between the surface and the underpart of the mouse, i NEED to have that part covered by a sleeve :) idk if i'm the only one to use a palmgrip w/a part of the hand touching the pad

When the sleeve is incompatible, reverse it inside out. The mesh directions have to be the same. Since I got my sleeve, I can't play without it. Finger tip grip here. It also helps with keeping the mousepad clean since your sweat and dead skin does not "immerda" the pad. It may causes extra palm swear in summer, but I fixed the issue with a mini usb fan pointed on the hand.

ever since i bought a Hien i have started to use longsleeved tshirts because the pad hurts my arm too much, my hair on my forearm gets insta stuck between the fibers, but an arm sleeve would probably help a bit but ive tried one at one time but it was too tight and too thick for my liking so im just using long sleeved tshirts

I tend to use it during summer, as I have sweatier part of a hand around my wrist and it makes moving my hand inconsisten without sleeve.

why wasnt it good on artisan zero. i thought the saturn pro and zero were similar pads . both were soft and smooth? so is the zero rougher and faster?

As a person who's having friction problems when playing fps games i need one but i can't seem to find one that is nylon/spandex sleeve, only sleeves for cycling or motorcycle

sometimes, when i just got out of the shower and my skin is still kinda soft, i get kinda of a rash on the arm from the friction with the mousepad, so in those cases i normally use one of those thermal longsleeve shirts, looking forward to buying an arm sleeve now

Sleeves are really good for keeping consistent friction between your forearm and pad. If you game in a room that has AC on 24/7 it might not be as necessary, but once you start sweating, without a sleeve your forearm starts sticking to the pad. However, some sleeves have stitching patterns that catch the mousepad and give you pretty inconsistent glide. From what I can see in the video, the pulsar sleeve looks like a good choice.

i have a pulsar sleeve, short arm one. Quality isn't too good, starting to tear from where I pull it. Hasn't broke tho, getting a longer arm sleeve would probably fix the issue. Would I recommend one? Absolutely, just get something that is actually stitched together edit: had it for only a month so far, the tear can be pretty noticeable at times but still works well

I use a short sleeve forearm only, works great for me on any speed/medium/control pad I own even Cordura, no going back for me. Thought it was nonsense but turns out the opposite. Tried a long tennis wristband and a tattoo cover before gaming products. Volleyball sports alternatives could be legit.

I bought the palm-covering version when I switched to a glass pad since there would be a lot of friction from my hand/wrist area. I don't think I'd use it for a cloth pad.

The heater in my room is broken so im always really hot and it fucks with the mousepad so sleeve is pretty needed for me, i also like the palm version because i don’t like the feeling of my palm touching the mousepad

I have oily sweaty ass hands and my arm gets stuck to my cloth mousepads, these sleeves helped me overcome these obstacles big time and it solves a big problem for a certain group of people.

Personally using Cordura pad in hotter days it is extra necessary for me to use sleeve, so I won't be getting sticky to mouse pad. I use just normal compression sleeve made out of Lycra which in my country costs like 6$.

sleeve is good when your arm get sweaty, it helps me a lot i'm using it just in the summer beccause when it's 50 C hot the sweat makes your arm stuck in the mousepad

Since I sweat way to much when gaming, or doing any activity, I need a full sleeve with a part that covers my palm so that my palm and forearm doesn't stick to my skypad

only reason i use a long sleeve shirt or one of these sleeves while gaming is the fact that i hate thre feeling of my skin while trying to play games and some shirts just dont feel right

That type of sleeve is great for fingertip grip, so your wrist does not stick to the mousepad as you rest your wrist on the pad. I use that type of sleeve.

Ive been using sleeves since 2018 and they are quite helpful and the palm sleeves are better because they reduce the friction for the bottom of your wrist and the other sleeves only cover your arm.

palm ones are mostly for fingertip i would assume (I use finger tip and have used some sleeves off and they were palm and I like it)

I use the ball of my palm as a pivot point for aiming, so for me a palm sleeve would be a necessity since that's the spot that sticks most to my pad (superglide). But I also have small, thin hands with long fingers and all these sleeves are designed for man arms :/

I play CSGO and in the summer period I can't perform well if I don't use a sleeve. My aim becomes so inconsistent because of the sweat causing friction.

tbh i just use a basketball shooter sleeve because it has an elbow pad as I have cubital tunnel and can't play otherwise. Plus with a glass pad it helps as well.

People use those palm ones for small mousepads/ high sense, and i can tell by your setup that the sleeves wont help you much, a lot of people who use them typically rest their forearm slanted on the edge of their desk, and when you start getting clammy/sweaty, you can’t flick at all because of it. Anyone who wants one, definitely get one if you think your arm is ever getting stuck to your mousepad, it will change your life

If they had something that covers the wrist area i'd consider getting one because thats the area that rubs the most on the mousepad for me EDIT: Typed too fast, I see the ones with wrist covers now - might consider one

I will probably end up getting one. I use a Hayate Otsu and because I live in Texas it gots really hot, plus my room's AC is complete shit, so I sweat real bad making my arm stick to the pad.

I NEED the cover on my grip, bc I have a big Palm which is always on the mousepad, when I aim. So if i dont wear a cover for my palm, it sticks on the mousepad and fucks up my aim. Its especially important for high sens gamers moving the most with their hands.

i use the palm one because i got large ass hands and my wrist is moisty from sweat and sticks to my mouse pad and i have worn out skin on the wrist from playing without it, the sleeve reduces the friction needed for me. Since i have big hands i dont even notice the sleeve over my palm. (size wise i can palm a basketball with little to no effort)

I just like to use it to keep my mousepads clean. The 1$ ones from ali will do just fine, but it does make me look like a nerdy ass nerd tho.

i bought a pair of sleeves to prevent oil and sweat from sticking onto my desk, right after i removed my armrest off my chair. I prefer clean surface but also prefer to clean once a week instead of everyday.

I really love using a sleeve otherwise my arm gets stuck on my desk from sweating. Makes my aim way more consistent and overall better experience

can also use it as a wet suit when you take your mouse on your jet ski - to wrap your sandwiches

For me personally I had to use a sleeve with the skypad because my arm/wrist kept sticking to it so I bought their own, I think it's pretty good, I know some people don't like the palm covering but I fingertip mainly so it's okay for me, I will say I agree with the comments about using claw,; I've been using claw recently to mix it up and I don't think they work so well for claw when they have a palm covering. In terms of the Artisan Zero I think one of the only sleeves I've used which offered "zero" friction was the Flashe Xsleeve version 1 or 2. Although the sleeve is good, their customer service/QC is another issue. For anyone reading this and interested, I'd recommend H4X sleeves (they are the same 80/20 mix of fabric if I recall), the pulsar sleeves, flashe xsleeve, and skypad (also same 80/20). Although I do think each sleeve is going to interact differently with different pads due to material/pad material and weave etc.

I have similar sleeves - arm warmers - for cycling, I might suck a little less at gaming when wearing them behind a PC but nah lol 🤣

Today is the 19th of august, i live in Italy, there are 35 °C outside (95 °F) humidity to the roof, i don't have a A/C (and i lived 43 years with out, pretty sure i will survive without), just seeing that sleeves make me sweet even more XD It can boost my k/d ration by three, i'll not gonna use it XD(but i'll keep it for the winter days, sure XD )
