I give them 3 strikes of quick chatting take the shot after bad challenges then I’m out. It’s my fault for solo queuing and I don’t expect anything of my teammates other than good sportsmanship.
at least we get less completely delusional toxicity like plats/diamonds get because their rank is full of kids lol. We get more leavers but less shit teammates that blame anything on you while playing like butt
Anyone else notice how Leth commented about how Paste kept throwing the ball away in his first matchup against him, and then when Leth sees him again, Paste blames his tm8 for the very thing he had been doing?
Literally was about to comment about that. The fact that he also gave away possession a lot and couldn't follow up his teammates awkward saves (which some of them were due to paste's own bad positioning. Notice how it's always his teammate making the save instead of him) is absolutely hilarious.
I wish this series could go on forever in the c2-gc2 range, it's so easy to learn from you man! If I actually had the patience to practice my mechanics I'd say you've made me a GC, but I don't, so you've made me a c2 with nothing but good positioning and consistent saves
As a C3, Yes the toxicity is rampant. I usually just ignore it or block them. The way I got over blaming teammates was grinding 1s which I still do, as that helps me focus on my game alone and improve myself. Do that enough, and you’ll be in a place to support a teammate who might just be having an off day
Been watching this series and I have been hard stuck at GC1. Even watching these videos has given me a different perspective and I am now getting close to GC2. Crossed over into around 1550 MMR. There are so many great things to take away from this. It just helped me slow my play down and asses where the players are on the field and if something is threatening or if it is just someone doing stupid flip resets or air dribbles for no reason. They do that a lot in GC1.
I haven't solo queued 2s in months but I did yesterday and with your advice of patience I went up a whole rank (into C3) in a few hours. I queued early morning (like 5-8am) here in Australia and people were lovely. About 8 of us kept queueing against each other, mixing up teams and chatting about random stuff between goals. First time ever that I've enjoyed interacting with people in-game. But then the -toxics- regulars woke up and so I got off lol
I mean, at 8 am lot of kids wake up xD, probably between 2 and 6 am you get best people, there chill and enjoying their games. Unless you go into some tryharder
@@Clau3012 Yeah 100%. What's funny actually is that I partied up (in VC too) with a kid who turned out to be 10 years old for the last few games of my session. I'd never used VC before but we did great and got to c3 together. He's been playing since Xbox launch in 2016 and had better mechanics than me hah
I hadn't played RL for a large part of the last year until a few weeks ago. Similarly, haven't watched RL youtube for a good while either. But man, Leth, you're such a positive person to watch, your attitude and overall character is just warm and enjoyable to watch. Not to mention entertaining. Would you be able to add like a short 1-2 minute free play recording at the end of each video explaining like one skill to practice around what rank you are? Or maybe make a video going through different skills at different ranks. I really liked the ending of the previous video where you explained the back post ball control options in free play.

Just the other day had someone throw a tantrum in chat and then just sit in goal the rest of the game because apparently I went for a ball that was "his". Shit like that happens *constantly* in high plat / low diamond. Haha
I'm in Champ 2 in doubles. Past two days I've gotten teammates telling me I'm bad and too slow, all while they miss shots and ball chase. The best part is that at the end of the games we won and I had just as many goals and points. lol
We need to see a video of Leth letting out all the toxicity. Just hearing Leth say that his teammate made a bad play after receiving toxic remarks made my day😂
@@safye4 His team mate was already doing dog shit passes and saying "take the shot" with neither being able to cover the net if Leth went for the pass. The team mate was toxic BEFORE the own goal.
Yeah leth is actually annoying af when he tries to white knight any time he sees people arguing, which is legitimately every time he sees people arguing. Like why are you trying so hard to make people get along, just play the game dude. And then sabotaging your own team in a misguided attempt to get the other team to stop fighting? Not only completely unnecessary, but also irritating to watch
i am C3 and can confirm this toxicity is common. Most evenings playing, I first lose 2-4 games with toxic teammates, then find a nontoxic one, we team up, and win back the lost points.

It’s literally like this every other game. At least your tm8 is playing. Half the time I start up a game in ranked and my tm8 is afk for the first 20 seconds and then want to ff asap when they return because we start losing. They even act like it’s my fault they were afk. Ranked is just a toxic cesspool.
Yes, this amount of toxicity is very normal. I'm champ 2 and this has to be 50% of my games. The other 50% are people leaving with 4 minutes left, sometimes without any goals from either team.
This episode is proof that some days you can tolerate it and other days you can’t. Most of the time you just ignore it which is what we all should do. Just like not dignifying bad behavior of toddlers….

All the toxicity comes from the plats who were toxic years prior, they finally grinded to champ level. I never talk in champ anymore in fear of being yelled at by everybody lol
Yup, C2 to GC2 is so toxic. I regularly get teammates that chase, cut you off mid play, go for every ball (even if it mean they'll pass to the opponents) and let you deal with the consequences and then trash talk when you can't. I always take it on me when they make mistakes, we're not pro (and even then, we're all humans), it's fine, just get over it as fast as possible and try again. But no, they need to make a mountain out of every single missplay from you which, of course, throws you off. Thanks for reading, see u in game, and be nice pls
while i'm not even champ my friend is gc1 and i queue comp with him we do pretty well and these videos definetly helped me keep up some more. He thinks I have a good amount of potential at ranking up into mid to high champ
high c2 here, yes the toxicity is very common in this rank. So much so to where I barely want to solo q anymore and I have team only chat on because it affects the game so much sometimes. I just hit c3 for the first time and don't even want to queue
its kind of just champ where most toxicity starts, people started viewing champ as "breaking through the barrier" and that they're getting better, and everyone starts to assume their always right and not the one making mistakes
Europe here Im c1, going down sometimes to D3 (almost d2 one time), Diamond has many AFKs for some reason, Champs are toxic. The amount of smurfs - unbelievable
I've noticed many AFK around the same rank. I've seen a lot of smurfs too lately almost as though they were bots because of some of the shit they were doing.
the higher i've gone up in champ the more toxic everyone is. No matter what. It's insane. Some days I'll even que up in Casual to warm up or just to listen to music and play the game vibing, not really trying to sweat and people get mad about that too. No one understands fun anymore.
I had been starting to wonder as this series went on if he was ever going to run into someone who recognized him, then the first game of this vid ActionPants comments woah, and that question was answered lol. Good on AP to not say anything the whole game though to not ruin the experience for anyone else. It definitely looked like he was trying to play a bit more cautious and calculated knowing who he was playing against and yt was watching lol. The conversation postmatch was great too.
I feel the higher up, the more is expected of you so toxicity is at its peak, at lower ranks it’s only toxic cos no one has a clue what’s going on just ball chasing and hoping for a open goal, your still proving the biggest point that you don’t have to be mechanically brilliant to be a champ player, another great video 💪
Yes. The higher you get up the ladder of most skillbased things, the more people think they know better than anyone else below or along side them.. while they're dealing with the a bunch of others that ALSO think the same way. Ego is gross and just makes things messy. It isn't that serious.
I have been in champ for three seasons now. It has been the most toxic rank in my experience. Everyone thinks they are entitled to grand champ and thinks they are the greatest player to walk the face of the earth. I only queue ranked with chat off now.
This is most definitely a lot more common and way worse in diamond lobbies.. I’m diamond 2 and Jesus is the toxicity in these lobbies dumb annoying.. every single game I play is just toxic
Sorry you're getting so many toxic games, man! Hopefully it simmers down in GC, I don't see a lot of it in GC3. Maybe once every 7 or so games I see someone go on a flaming spree, but it was very VERY bad in GC1 and GC2. Loved the video as usual, keep up the fantastic work!
Gosh, I'm in Plat/Diamond so the really toxic levels of the game and that is all too common in my games, unfortunately. :/ I just play to have fun and rank up. Always love a toxic jerk raining on people's parades for no reason other than to be a jerk. Anyway, love ya ,Leth! Stay positive! :)
I’m a diamond 2/3 and the toxicity is rampant. You have the kind where they talk shit right away then you have the kind that wait until the very end of the game when they’ve secured the win and there’s no way they can lose it. My friend and I play 2s together and something about a team that talks shit early just snaps something in place in our brains and we play better just so we can “what a save” they the rest of the game. We only talk shit back, we don’t start it. Have some damn respect lol

Yeah I agree. I am around 1650-1700 in 2s and am trying to get SSL, but the issue is that all the tips youtubers give advice to basically just low ranked players
Legit just had a session of ranked 2v2 with randoms at C1 and 2 games my teammate threw the game calling me the noob when they were ball chasing and missing lmao. Champ 1 level is super toxic for sure, everyone has a massive ego and if they are losing they think it MUST be their team mate even tho theyre too aggressive and force us into bad situations and 2v1's.
Nice! Around November of 2022 I was stuck pretty hard in GC1, but since then I've been grinding hard and recently got GC3. It just takes some dedication!
This is what every player is capable of .. just at these lower ranks everyone’s to r2 trigger happy. Don’t take it as him ruining other peoples ranks just take the lesson of being patient & not having to be mechanical to get wins 🤝
