Are Legendary Pokemon Shiny Locked In Scarlet and Violet?

They probably won't be huntable until gen 10, since that's how it's been since gen 5. Zekrom and Reshiram became shiny in ORAS by Portals Xerneas and Yveltal became shiny in USUM with wormholes Solgaleo and Lunala became shiny in Crown Tundra with Max raids

Well considering that the box legendaries have been like shiny locked, since when gen 6? it's not surprising anymore

Kinda wish they weren't locked hopefully dlc will change it I'm kinda tired of events mons unless it's mythical

What be their obsession with locking all the legendaries as of late? Normally its the Box Legends, now they be going like "NUH! NO SHINY LEGENDARY PAINFUL HUNT FOR YOU!" ... Lemme go through pain if I want to Game Freak! >:C

I hope they do become huntable later on in the game and it would be cool to ride there shiny forms if possible

WARNING SPOILER (kinda): you can catch a second box legendary at the end of the game, but nobody is talking about it and i'm really wondering if this one is huntable since it's a static encounter, but i can't find any info on that, enven With spoiler ppl only talk about the first one

Ofc they are shiny locked pokemon company won't give us shiny of any new legendary ☹ to start games they just don't do that I'll give credit to bdsp for having almost no shiny locks but then that wasn't even gamefreak good on them!!!

I already knew the box legendaries would be shinylocked but at least they’ll do mystery gifts for them. I love their shinies and they don’t change to a lightly brighter colour thankfully.

It's so lame that they want us to get these shinies via events so they lock them. That's just annoying. Just let us hunt them if we want to it's not that hard gamefreak.

oh man... I though the 4 relic pokemon werent locked... well, better know it now than spend 2 days trying to get something that you cant xD

locking legendaries behind giveaway events is just as lame as some random person doing shiny giveaway streams.

Well, thanks. This video will help me in knowing not to waste several hours on an impossible hunt. Although that sounds like sarcasm, I genuinely mean it. I didn't know whether the legendaries were shiny locked or not, now I do thanks to you.

I hate it. I miss the old days when you could shiny hunt the legends. I don't need you to give it to me in a stupid event later. I want to be able to work for it myself.

Shiny locking has always felt as _unnecessarily_ limiting. If people want to sit there and retry to get a pokemon for days/weeks+ so they can get a recolor why don't you let them?

Can someone tell me what legenss are locked and which ones aren't?

I see that as a problem because when they do this events where they only give them not only are they taking away the idea of one catching it by the own means of the player but they almost never do this events on a worldwide scale, at least in my case I'm from Costa Rica and i have never seen any of those events here

They never become randomly huntable in the games they’ll do giveaways for promotions that’s so annoying really wanted to hunt these two
