I voted for this man the last time he ran for presidency-even though I knew he wasn't going to win. Two party system sucks!

Nader brings up a very crucial point. In order to adress the problems of society, we need to change the system, yes, but also the way people view politics and how they understand them. As long as most people are completely uninterested in politics or how the power and resources are distributed in society, there will always be those who capitalize on their apathy and grab that power for themselves by changing the rules when nobody is watching.

Awesome stuff, just some comments: At around 21:00 you start talking about Buffet's tax reform ideas. For one, I would start with someone like Pierre Omidyar and his new media venture because I think he's more credible. Second, there was a documentary made by Jamie Johnson, I think it was either Born Rich or The One Percent, he speaks to a granddaughter of Buffet's who was basically excommunicated from the family for actually following through on some of her radical ideas. She spoke to Buffet's quest for an image of the friendly billionaire who cares, while unable to even live it out truthfully in his family circle. I would just be very cautious in helping to prop up Buffet's persona, as he himself works hard to do so. And off of the Jamie Johnson point, I think it would be interesting to start interviewing some of these children of the uber rich. Most might say no, but I bet Jamie would be willing, might even hook you up with more. You recently did an interview with Chris Hedges on the mentality of the super rich, why not ask them directly? Thanks and as always keep it up. Y'all are my favorite news org (tho DemocracyNow! is a close second).

Thanks for doing this. I remember him back in the 70's, and my dad just told me he was a nut, but his ideas make a lot of sense, 40 years later.

Good old Ralph Nader. He called Obama a Uncle Tom for the rich in 2008 and Fox News attacked him on that, Yes, Fox News attacked Nader for his remarks against Obama. The same Obama who Fox would call a ''socialist'' later! Still Nader is limited to a social democratic platform. But I rather choose a social democratic platform then a right-wing party such as the Democratic Party. Ralph Nader is a good fighter for consumers against big business. But I still believe that social democracy is not the answers, since capitalism hates regulations and will do anything to return to pro-capitalist politics!

Paul Jay is a great interviewer . He does ask tough questions which is rare these days . Nowadays its either you see a progressive being praised by a progressive interviewer , Or a neocon being praised by a neocon interviewer . and that is it . very refreshing , thank you Paul , for the old bbc(not the current British Bullshit Corporation) style of interview , asking both prosecutor and defense questions like competing lawyers do in a court of law .

Nader's done and said some good things in his life (and some things that weren't so good). He's done more than most people, so I can't criticize him. Even his naive ideas have a kind of charming naivete. But (with that said), it's a little silly to look for a millionaire or billionaire to "save the world" by throwing money at progressives. Imagine where the Real News Network, for example, would be today, if it had started out with a wealthy sponsor.... the sponsor would have pulled the plug once Paul Jay started doing controversial news segments, or found a way to get rid of him and replace him with someone way more mainstream. When you have a wealthy sponsor, you're in danger of the sponsor turning his or her wealth and power against you when you ruffle their feathers.

I voted for Nader in 1996 and 2000 . And Bush and company didn't win(steal) the election because some of us voted for Nader . And what I know about Gore now , he probably would have done the same as the bush regime .

Warren isn't very good on the drug war and military industrial complex. Research her. I think Grayson is one of the last good candidates.
