FOAMIE & BUCKETS: season 1 episode 213! Nike SB has been DEAD for at least the last couple years. When I say dead I mean no hype surrounding the sneakers. I believe at ComplexCon Diamond Supply released a couple different pairs of the infamous Nike SB Diamond Dunks which included the Canary Yellow Diamond Dunks which immediately garnered some hype and the attention of sneaker people everywhere. Now CONCEPTS drops the Nike Sb Purple Lobster Dunk. Following with one of the greatest lines in all of SB History. So is the hype beack with Nike SB or are these just some flashes of greatness. @@Miguel323527 u are dumb as hell. Nike dunks last longer than most shoes, just a very durable shoe in general. They also use premium materials for dunks and I think the shape of the dunk shoe is as classic as it gets. That's why the jordan 1 is so popular and it looks exactly like the nike dunk.

I think it’s safe to say SB DUNKS Are in a Renaissance period. With the passing of Sandy Bodecker and James Airizumi taking his place back as Creative Director, I do see a lot of energy going back into these types of releases and Collabs. Nike SB as a whole is slept on I would also like to see a retro pair of the Zoom Air Classics, P-Rod 2’s, More Blazers, More Bruins, Zoom URL’s and all the other shoes that were in the OG Lineup.

I became a crazy sb head in ‘11, even thou I love them I kinda started to fall back at the beginning of the blue box era. Personally because of the lack of creativity but MAINLY because the extended the distance between the first lace holes on the toe box which made every sb after that look doofy af. I’ve always tried to keep a few pairs around cause I’d say the sb era is still one of the most remarkable periods of time in sneaker, fashion, and culture history. Also they give me a nostalgic feel lol

Still on the fence about the SB Lobster's. My fav's are DC's as a skateboard shoe. I do love the checkered lining and rubberband on the toe tho. Extra laces are a nice touch too. I'd actually love to see those peach laces on the purple shoe.

I really love the nike sb dunk. Just afford only a pair on 2010. Time flies, sb dunk got extinct in my country. The now in 2019, grey market starting sell nike sb dunk again, but the price is more than twice for just a basic pro model and it makes me upset. Hope can afford 1 with below usd90 price tag.

This shoe, as you stated, was executed perfectly by SB and Concepts. They were hard to get, and every sneakerhead wanted them. I would argue that SB hasn't been dead, but rather, has been flying under the radar. About a year ago, you had the Staple Pidgeon Dunks, and since then, there have been more excellent dunks offered in conjunction with Premier, Black Bar, Black Sheep, Atmos, Diamond Supply, and now Concepts. I just think other shoes have stolen the spotlight; namely, the Off-White, Undefeated, and Bape collabs. If Abloh ever collaborates with SB to make a Dunk, watch out. It will probably be the most hyped shoe in a long, long time.

When they start retroing all the black,pink,silver and of course the tan box and pro b era shoes they’ll be back. Nike doesn’t know how this new generation will feel about those shoes but for sure it would be widely received in a positive manner. No “Un” type of colorways either. Honestly it sucks not getting a shoe you really want because of resellers. But I miss Nike sb dunks and the trainer 1s and the blazers! Also the FCs! The market will take a spike up in resale though 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’ll bring good energy back to Nike sb. I don’t skate though but I understand the attention to detail and have worked in a shop before
